- Better Live

Linkin Park's vocals sounded a little out a tune, but nobody's perfect and they have real talent. I love hearing Linkin Park raw, without any voice editing because it's good to know that the band i like actually has talent.

There just not what they use to be, and people may say well there maturing as a band, but to me they were so much better with Hybrid Theory, that CD is just amazing in my opinion, Meteora was pretty good, but with there new stuff..kinda hit and miss

- I LOVE LINKIN PARK!!!

Linkin Park is undoubtedly one of if not the best band ever. The sound in this live album is identical to how they sound on the studio albums. I've seen them live and I can honestly say that they put on one of the best shows that I have ever seen. If you never have the chance to see them live then this is the next best thing. Even the Live from Texas or the new iTunes Festival EP will give just as good of an experience. Chester and Mike both do perfectly throughout the entire show and couldn't have performed any better.

What happened to the old Linking Park, this is not fast paced or cool sounding… I want something like In The End or Crawling not this soft stuff.

Chester sounds like his voice is wrecked and he is pitchy as hell!! The tempos are all over the place and the production is terrible. Just goes to show that LP are a total studio band who can't actually pull off their sogns live...shame!

they are WAY worse when they sing live. if you love them and have every and album made by them then this is for you. If you're just getting to know linkin park don't buy this. i love linkin park but they are not very good live. they are waaaay better on their cds. save your money for the not live cds.

I have seen the band 3 times - once a few years back - and twice last year. Two times were in a large stadium and once was in a small setting. All three shows were unreal - they are amazing musicians who know how to work and respect the crowd. I suggest to see them in concert and download any live songs. It will be a moving experience. Guys,get a grip. Do you really like Chester yelling completely off key? Hes one of the worst singers I know of! The rest of the band is awsome,but Chester needs to go out. He either needs to leave or take a voice training class,because he just stinks at singing. The rest of the band does fine,but Chester needs to work on it.

Honestly, this isn't a good album. Personally, I absolutely LOVE every single song LP's ever done except for Valentines Day, and I've seen them multiple times. To be completely honest, this is defnitaley not one of their better performances, at least not by Bennington anyway. Normaly they sound almost exactly the same live as they do the studio, if not better. I can understand if this was late in the tour, but if not then it's just a bad performance. I'm hoping they don't sound this bad in Project Rev this year, cause he sounded AMAZING last year.

Lp is my favorite band because of their music. Ofcourse I think Lp is the best Alternative band. I love the base guitar of crawling,Numb,What i've done n even Not alone............But the guy who makes Lp different from other bands......is ofcourse Joe Hahn........! I'm so glad My December is finally on iTunes, even though it's live, it's still good! Chester's vocals sound a bit different than on Minutes to Midnight, but the songs are still good. Bleed It Out is the BEST!!

My December is amazing on this, but I'm sick of the overplayed Minutes To Midnight songs. They're not even that good (I got WAY too much of a suicide vibe from a lot of that album). I miss the days of Hybrid Theory and Meteora. That stuff was real music.

Linkin Park used to be amazing live. I saw Given Up live online around 4 or 5 months ago and it was one of the best live performances I have ever seen. This live album is pretty good, better than most. But to me at least, Chester is losing some of his live spark. His voice seems to be strained more than it usually is and it just kinda sounds....off. But its still a decent album so if you like Linkin Park, then you will probably still like the album.

I enjoyed this Live EP quite a bit, though this isn't there best performance. Chester's voice is a little strained? Why you may ask? Well if I am correct around the time this was recorded LP had to cancel a few shows after this in the southwest because Chester had damaged his voice so he had to take a break for a few days. Even though his voice is a little sketchy at times the band still pulls off a decent performance. I suggest you buy this if you are a linkin park fan, but don't judge there live performances by this because there live performances are INCREDIBLE!

Linkin Park is still one of the best bands. Threy have proved themselves in studio and on live tours. I just want to say for all the people that hate the new album, that you all need to get your ears retuned because they are even better. I know the saying "If its broke, don't fix it", but they are even better than before. I believe if you hate the Lp now then you might never get it that they're going in a new direction you are in for a ride. It is their story to tell you, and if you hate it then listen to some Emo music from Fall Out Boy. Anyways LP Rocks and are forever my fav band!!

- Linkin Park - Live From SoHo

Having been a keen Linkin Park fan from the very beginning, it's been interesting to see how they've changed. From their hair to their music, it's always headed forward in my opinion. Having never seen them live till January (O2 Arena) I wasn't sure what to expect. The only thing I can note on true fact that noone can dispute is this is not only a band that can play live, but they are probably better live! This is a prefect example of what a band should be like. 1 Apple Store, a few hundred guests, yet they still put in all the effort as if it was several thousand. Wake I find is a mixed song. I love it, it's a nice lead up/warm up track, always preceeding Given Up. I just love the way the sound builds up until it's all released. Maybe not the most exciting of songs for some, but it has to be there to credit Given Up. Given Up, the new single. When I first heard it I couldn't believe how catchy the tune actually is. It gets you from the word go, and it doesn't sound out of place at all. Despite the fact it's a very heavy song (a 17 second scream sums that one up) it comes across as something that even the casual fan can enjoy. Live, it's untouchable. It's amazing how Chester can perform some of it without destroying his voice box! Shadow of the Day is a lovely song as long as you allow the second chorus to really set itself in you as that defining moment, that edge in the song. Altogether a sound track, and sung beautifully live. My December live is quite possibly the greatest live song they've ever come up with. Differing from the original, a Piano solo carries this song through. The emphasis in this song is unlike any other, and it's one of those ones that doesn't feel like it has that darker side to it. Definetly the EP's best performance. In Pieces, despite being a good and well sung song, isn't in my opinion one of the better songs they could have played. It follows My December well to pick the tempo back up slowly, very subtle, but I think Hands Held High or even better, Valentine's Day, would have made a better song to have played. Finally Bleed It Out. Well, going by lyrics, and as rightly pointed out by Mike while singing, the words do make no sense! That said, it's definetly top 3 on the album, and yet again a fantastic end to a gig, this song never fails to disappoint. Shame though that there was no drum solo. I';ve got to give it 5 starts just for the sheer effort put in by the band, even in such a small gig. A shining example of what music should be about, and I'm glad they went more mainstream with Minutes To Midnight, because it really has produced some of the best songs of their careers, and brought in a whole new audience to enjoy their music. If you've never heard them live, I suggest you start here and buy the EP.

- The most generic band I've ever heard.

Go and pick up a Faith No More disc, kiddies. Everyone who clicks 'no' on whether they agree is a fifteen year old who thinks Linkin Park contain merit. They also listen to kORN. Perhaps Nickelback. Maybe My Chemical Romance. Anything so long as it is exceedingly bad.

Arguably the best album so far from Linkin Park, 'Minutes to Midnight' has produced some amazing tracks, which have been captured on this live ep. It also features 'My December' which in my opinion is never played enough! So download and Enjoy...

- Some good, some bad

I'm a big LP fan, so I bought this straight away :) My December is sung beautifully, Shadow Of The Day deserves a mention, and Bleed It Out is the best of them all. In Pieces, hmmmmm I was really disappointed with the solo. And Wake, well its ok but it doesnt link up to Given Up as it's supposed to in the album, so that's worth a miss. Given Up by the way, is good, Chester can't quite make the full 17-second scream but it's good otherwise :)

- Worst Live Album Ever!

This does not hold a candle to Live From Texas, I wouldn't recommend buying it all. A lot of bands have some kind of edge when performing live, theres some communication with the crowd or a subtle tone thats different but good to whats recorded on the original album. This however just sounds like someone smuggled a poor quality recording device into the recording studio. Where is that amazing sound that keeps making me go back to Live From Texas and listening to it over and over again, no where. Not up to Linkin Parks usually amazing standards on stuff they allow released.

IMO the greatest band on the planet and these are some of the greatest versions of these songs I strongly recomend this album.

...is that, unlike most bands, they can actually sing live. They sound just as good live as in the studio. I love all of these songs that they've sung, and, for a couple of quid...Bargain! :)

To me linkin park r one of the best bands in the world when they r in the studio making there gr8 albums. Problem fr me is that they cannot turn gr8 songs like numb, bleed it out and faint into gud live performances. They can get decent songs like shadow of the day ryt but not any of there gr8 songs

- Worth Checking Out.

With 2006s' Minutes To Midnight, Linkin Park took a brave risk in trying to widen thier fanbase and perhaps see if they were capable of stretching to more complex and mature material at the risk of isolating there nototriously devoted fanbase. Although it did have its detractors (mainly those intent on seeing LP stick with the slick nu-metal sound that was there trademark) Minutes to Midnight proved to be a step in the right direction with songs like the outstanding Shadow of The Day in particular showing capacity for possible U2-like stadium uibiquity in the near-future. The aforementioned Shadow of The Day is included in this short live EP and is one of the highlights, but is still not perfect. Singer Chester Benningtons vocals up until the second more-powerful chorus are weak and occasionally out of tune. It's testiment to the quality of the song that the same emotive resonance felt once THAT guitar line comes in is still present. A recent B-side, My December is a lovely surprise and shows that the band are edging away from the nu-metal Albatross and is (hopefully) a sign of the next stage in the LP-evolution. To raise the pulse a little, quickfire workouts of key uptempo tracks from there 3rd album-proper - Given Up & the excellent Bleed It Out - are included and show a leaner, tauter version of the rough & ready moshpit anthems of Hybrid Theory & Meteora. The only black-mark is In Pieces, a dreary number that pales in comparison with teh rest of the material on show here and is only saved by an excellent guitar part towards the end, but still is only worthy of B-side status, whereas My December really should have been a pivotal track on the album proper, rather than just a throwaway. For such a low-price, it's hard to go wrong with this collection, emphasised more by the inclusion of a B-side that actually manages to overshadow the rest of the material displayed. Overall, well worth checking out and a great insight into a potentially world-beating band - one whose next move will be absolutely fascinating.

well, i'm a BIG linkin park fan first of all! this is pretty good album. I have seen them live in London - 28th January 2008 @ O2, Im only 13! and im seeing them in Milton Keynes, Projekt Revolution 2008 with Jay-Z! Bleed It out was a dissapointment tho on this album, Chester's voice was a bit iffy, but sometimes his voice does that! Lol. Reccomend! <3 Lovess,x
