I love movie scores and classical music and this was just absolutely thought provoking for an author I listen to a lot of music to help get some ideas and this was absolutely wonderful to listen to. Very helpful with my writing!
Lovely collection.
This album is phenomenal for the price point. The magic of this album cannot be overstated, as it’s not only in the scores chosen but in the performance as well. There can be arguments over the timing of some of these pieces, but I believe this album gets it right. Could this have better if more musical geniuses were added? Sure, but this one does a fine job.
I have been getting into classical music lately and this album was a great start. I love the iconic pieces but I have also discovered new pieces that I did not know about and now like a lot.
After purchasing the album iTunes informed that 11 pieces “cannot be downloaded in my area or country”. I live in the middle of the USA. I feel this was bait and switch.
When I purchased this album it split into 2 albums that separated tracks numbers 6, 11, 20, 22, 30, 37, and 46. I contacted Apple support and I was told to Redownload the album twice which did not work. I was then directed to an article of how to fix it myself. As a customer this is not something I should have to do. In my opinion the problem should be solved by Apple. I spent an hour with the Apple support session, grew tired of it, and did not want to continue it. I can still listen to the songs but the fact that my album got split in 2 is annoying.
Though I'm 100% sure they have Fur Elise down as Bagatelle in A
Purchased this a while back and was able to download it on my older device during the time yet today I noticed it says purchased on my new device despite the fact there is no way to download or listen to it. If there is a fix I am open to a solution.
I can't believe this is only $6.
How great is it to have all these in one place
What a glorious album. Sheer brilliance!
these are great examples of the best Classical music ever made
I actually really like the selection however several of the songs are truncated in my download and I can't seem to get the full piece to download.
Lo amé al escucharlo 👌
If you were ever curious as to some of the Classical Music that stuck in your mind from watching Academy Award winking movies...they’re all here. Apocalypse Now, Deer Hunter,Platoon and others. This album contains familiar tune my parents listened to growing up and it brings me memories. Lastly, if you really are not that much into Classical Music but want to know the most famous classical tunes to have at least semi intelligent conversation with someone, they’re all here.
My god where to start just get it let your mind travel with the sweet sound off music and peace. 😊
No
Seriously I can't stop listening to the greatest pieces of classical music. Really worth the money! 5 stars.
There are so many songs here that I know but what I didn't know was that they were classical!
Audiophiles can be picky over recordings and conductors of classical music. And if you are reading this, you are probably not an audiophile nor are you interested in reading something written by one. But if you like to listen to classical music every once in a while, this sets you up with some of the best known pieces. You can argue about what constitutes the 50 greatest works, but just go out and buy the missing ones that you like. The price is great, the music sounds nice (see note about not being an audiophile) and you do get 50 pieces. In sum, this should be one of the first albums that you buy on iTunes.
Everything I wanted. Just perfect.
I will not ask for more , this is what I wanted , no day passes without listing to this album, I recommend it for the new generation as start to the classic music.
I've always wanted good classical music 😄
very nice classical music, however i only bought one song out of this album yet i love it! very calming music.
Before I got this song, my rituals felt boring. BUT NOW I shall sacrifice a dragon to this ritual.
There are far better recordings of each piece of music on this album. But as an introduction to the uninitiated, this is great. And a deal at that.
Purchased this album and can only get 7 of the 50 tracks- not the ones I would prefer. Have called and written iTunes without response. 😔. The music is probably wonderful if only I could hear it.
IMO-this has an opportunity to be a great addition to your music collection that encompasses all of great classical hits. However-the sound quality is absolutely horrible.
It’s so relaxing especially the first song on the album thanks for blessing my ears
This is the best classical music album ever on iTunes. Highly recommended for everyone who likes classical music.
Amazing deal! This is the best iTunes purchase I have ever made. This album is full of all of the greatest songs. Truly amazing
Thanks!
Its written purchased, but not shown in my music library
Beethoven is a wonderful pianist. He was extremely famous when Charlie Brown can our as a movie. Thank you, Delilah.

I have loads of classical music albums but this is probably my favorite. I am enjoying all the many beautiful selections. Don’t hesitate- just buy it- you won’t regret it.
This is clearly a great album, but many of my tracks are cut short. The whole recording isn't there. Pretty disapointing.
All the others are clown fandures
Some of the best music from the Western repertoire. Performed well and sold at a great price. But for multi movement works you don't get the whole spiele, fair enough though.
Love this album. Beethoven, Mozart, and others!
I recieved this album as a present my freshman year of High School. I was going to a performing arts high school and I wanted to listen to the pieces that my orchestra program was playing. The album did a fantastic job of showing me the surface of what classical music has to offer. Please note that this collection of works is not an exhaustive list. Allof the Symphonies that are on the album are just a snipit from it, or just a movment from the entire work. This is not nessisarily a bad thing, but I would say that if you get this album and find a work you like, do some more digging and get the ENTIRE work, because you may find something will stick with you forever. Note too that this is missing great works of chamber music, solo music, and leaves out many 20th Century composers, like Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Prokofiev, and Adams, which I think is a shame because I think that some pieces by those composers deserve to be in this 50 Greatest Pieces lineup. Anyhow, great place to start, but by no means an exhaustive list of the fantastic works that may or may not be represented on this list.
I just love the quality and beauty.

This contains magnificent pieces of musical perfection! This is the finest music ever composed!
popular music 50 love this album
I have just begun listening to classical music and this is an enjoyable and educational collection for beginners and I assume veterans too. Great value and good sound!...EAF
Stunning recordings that have broadened my taste
The price can't be beat for 50 songs not to mention how great it sounds!
This is by far the best collection of classical music out there!

Great selection of classical tunes for those who want to dip their toes into this style of music
À conseiller pour faire aimer la musique aux enfants! Bravo belle sélection. Fernand,Québec ,Canada.
Every music lovers needs to have this ! Just amazing
A great mix , a great price
The songs are great of course but the quality if the recording isn't. Hissing and clipping all over the place.
Very energetic and up-taking performance of great classic masterpieces by London Philharmonic orchestra - great add to my collection!
Ok I've always loved Vivaldi's Four Seasons but Spring has always been my favorite. And the London Philharmonic does it the best!! I would suggest it to anyone! This set is very well done.
That Edvard Grieg who wrote the song is awesome!!! He's Norwegian you know.
Gymnopedie is beautiful, and Adagio for Strings is really well done here.
The music is southing and comforting in this Christmas time!
Had all the music I was looking for - and bonus to get so much. Lucky I already had all Vivaldi.
The London Philharmonic Orchestra's music is of great selection, and they are very talented players. I would highly recommened it, and only seven dollars for fifty-one songs? That's crazy-cheap!
I was going to buy the Album, so I bought one, 'Adagio in G Minor for Strings and Organ' to check it out. It says it goes on for 8 minutes and 37 seconds, but unfortunately it gets cut off after 3 minutes and 7 seconds of play - can you fix this please and how do I get the entire length of music? You have got to check your quality of music before you start selling it to people, I listened to the sampler that went on for 1 minute and 30 seconds and it was fine until it gets past 3 minus of play after I purchased it. Im not happy at all! Rating of ZERO out of TEN.
An encompassing collection of classical greats, from Strauss to Mozart. Slightly disappointed that the 1812 Overture wasn't included, but not disappointed enough to take away from this Album.
I can’t believe how much work has put into this! It’s amazing, utterly amazing!🙃🙂🤩
I found this album in a sleepless night!
The quiz complements the album... I have always wanted to learn about western classical music and this seems to be a good place to start...love it...great price too...finally managed to get all the songs!
Absolutely amazing. My study soundtrack is now complete!
Definitely worth it.
A brilliant way to introduce Classical music … or refresh ones own memory perhaps ?
Stunning. I grew up listening to all of these works. How lucky was I….. :) It is wonderful to be able to revisit them in a single album. Beautiful selection, superb orchestration and production. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you London Philharmonic and David Parry. A galaxy of stars
What a brilliant album! It's great if you are not sure if you'll like classical music. It's got all the best known of the classics. A whole lot of music for a little money.I love this album!
What a great album - bought it yesterday and have played it non stop in my small post office with lots of compliments. I would recommend this album to anyone
Great food for your spirit! What's real music is all about.
Everyday I use this classical songs to wake me up in the morning.. It makes me relax and feel fresh in the morning. Especially, feel not tired after I woke up.. That's a great things in ur life.. I strongly recommended..
So relaxing to listen to!
Beautiful, beautiful album! Wake up to it, fall asleep to it, do homework to it, it's perfect for whenever! It has all the right pieces deserving of a top 50 ranking. Whether you're a classical musician already, or wanting to get to know classical music a little better, I highly recommend this album :) Definitely worth every dollar!
It has the essentials of classical music. If only a CD was available in Australia haha
Just simply, the best recording of all these pieces from any orchestra and any conductor. Beyond 5 stars.
Great study aid for relaxation- very helpful!
This is an absolutely angelic, majestic album. My choir is performing O Fortuna at the end of this year and I cannot think we will be as good as this. I'm also loving moonlight sonata, one of the best UTD versions out there!
Great album as stated in title, however.. This is the 3rd album out of 10 I have purchased on Itunes and once downloaded I have about 8 songs in this album that stop about half way through.. I was given no error messages once download had finished just a message saying it had completed and the usualy back up purchased songs. My internet connection was fine throughout the entire download process. Itunes just rips me off. Last time i purchase anything through this flimsy program.

Umm...well, I despise modern music...yeah, I dunno what to say.
Never had this problem before, had to re-download each piece of music, iTunes won’t actually list all the music purchased. And yes I have checked and checked again all settings for download and Music app. Still have some pieces that have been purchased but won’t download. Do I feel cheated? Yes.
I love classical music, and 50 of the Greatest classical songs for that tiny amount of money is a massive bargain because the enjoyment you'll get is endless from theses timeless pieces
A nice compilation of some of the most well known pieces. London Philharmonic is world renowned for a reason, just have a listen. Also an unbeatable price for 50 tracks!
PURE CLASSIC. Yes.
The album has some great pieces on and, as some other users have mentioned, there are pieces that have not been played to the highest of standards and better representations of them can be found elsewhere. Apart from that trivial issue it is a very relaxing and musically brilliant album for an even better price! Would recommend to anyone with a taste for classical music.
Every track has massive recording flaws, if you don't believe me, try the sample of each. It's a damn shame, because they're all beautiful pieces, but presented in a manner in which doesn't do them justice. If you happen to care about the substance rather than quantity, look further afield. Using this as original material will only lower your opinion of each amazing piece as a whole. Every track on this album is beautiful, however the way in which they're presented is uncomplimentary. If you're introducing someone to this genre then it'll do. But tell them it's not a genuine version, and that they'll have to experience that elsewhere.
The tempo for Canon in D Major is far, far too quick!! Was the conductor having a fit?!? Before anyone gets on my back I've played the violin & viola for years and this is one of my favourite pieces. The rest of the album is amazing :)
This is by far worthy of my mobey. No regrets
This album is a great starting point for people who don't know a lot about classical music, onwards and upwards!
Smashing album. You'd be surprised how much you'd like it.
This an amazing collection of the best classical music out there , a must have in your collection and well worth the money .
Great value
You will def have heard all of these . Brilliant , just brilliant 😉😉😉
I could see In The Hall of the Mountain King on here though. A couple of classics missed off.
A must if you want to relax, just 1 worry Apple i only pressed the download button once but I got the album 50 times !!!!! I'm only paying for 1. I hope ??????
Everything you expect and more.
If you ever played Mount And Blade Warband Napoleonic Wars and liked the soundtrack, then you'll love this. Thumbs up from Scotland!
This is full of well known classical music and is a great introduction to classical music 😃
£7.99 for over 200 hours of classical music?! This album is amazing, it's packed with some of the most iconic pieces of classical music, and it's all in amazing quality! Love The London Philharmonic, who are amazing live too I must say :D love this album! A must have if you're into classical music, and don't already have a collection of some of these masterpieces :D
Beautiful
Downloaded as 2 separate albums without the ebook. Sort it out iTunes.
There's not much I need to say about this compilation It has some of the best and most well known pieces of music written beautifully arranged and performed by the London Philharmonic For any real fan of music and especially for classical lovers this is wonderful
Great album for a newbie like me, listened to it all day and really enjoyed it.
Great album. I bought it few months ago. I still like very much listen it. I do recommand it
Most people will recognise most of the songs on this album. It's fantastic, nearly as good as my Dr Dre album.
Brilliant prices and qualities
Absolutely fantastic recording of Pomp and Circumstance and Adagio for Strings (My favourite piece of all time)! Couldn't do it any better!
Some pieces on this album are stunning, beautiful sound , I find it very relaxing x
A great primer of some great tracks, all good performances: a little leaning towards UK favorites, but only Jupiter from the Planet suite... (shame), but then again equally only a smidge from popular classics like the four seasons! Nevertheless, a great romp through stuff any average TV viewer (or more precisely listener) will know and love without having to go all Radio 3 on one's (ehem) behind! All good fun!
Couldn't have asked for anything more, truly breathtaking.
Greatly played pieces with great clarity of quality but the album cover is just complete crap. They went for cutesy and ended up with something that makes me think "I f*!#ing hate that picture"! I primarily came here just to say that.
I'm 16 years old and I've recently become taken in by classical especially some of the more dramatic songs which are included in this album e.g. Messa da Requiem: Dies Irae. Which I have heard before but I've never been able to find the name of the song or it's composer till now. The pieces are played really well and they can be very relaxing while reading a good book in the Sun. This is a very good collection at a very good price! (5 stars)
Never really listened to classical music before But wow what a brilliant cd So relaxing to listen to Well worth the money (-:
A fine compilation album to be played on a long journey, well done.
I'm 16 years old and have always had a fascination for classical music, it's like an Orchestra playing before me with all there glory and magnificent melody.
My very first classical album. There are some instantly recognisable tracks here, and all of them great in their own way. Great to listen to while I am doing a jigsaw on my iPad :)
50 tracks for How much? There are a handful of tunes you won't recognise. The rest you will easily recognise from the original, tv, film, adverts, etc., etc. Excuse the pun but this is a classic!!!
I love this album! Like so many others who've downloaded it, I've found that the range of music upon it is just enough to help expand your vocabulary without being too heavy. I'd strongly reccomend it to others interested in this field of music but not knowing where to start.
I'm 15 and I love this album! I think this album is ideal for somebody who is interested in classical music, but doesn't know where to being. My favourites are the Peer Gynt Suite and Mozarts Symphony in G minor (first movement). It's great to chill out to in the middle of revising for exams. Well done, London Philharmonic Orchestra.
What can I say? I’m one for skipping through an album to find the best parts. I can honestly say I have not pressed the skip button once. Very good collection, much enjoyed. 10/10
Fantastic album and an incredible bargain. Okay, perhaps it's not for the purists. It's more classical light than anything else but that's exactly what I wanted. I play the album by itself for soothing background music OR mix it with my collection of pop, rock and oldies for a short relaxing break between loud, thumping rock. Perfect for that.
Overall a brilliant album but there are a few pieces that have been performed to a much higher standard. Here is a list of what I feel are better perfomances. - Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D Major by Charles Gerhardt, National Philharmonic Orchestra - Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings by Vancouver Symphonic Orchestra - Johann Sebastian Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 Air on a G String by J.S. Bach Orchestra - Ludwig Van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C Sharp Minor, Op. 27 No. 2, "Moonlight": I. Adagio sostenuto by Claudio Arrau There are also no pieces of Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier or Toccata and Fugue for Organ which is a great shame. If you enjoy classical music I recommend having these in your collection.
A lover of all music, this album brings me piece...
Music is fabulous but why did it download to my phone as 14 different albums ?
