Willie and Family have done it again. I've been a fan of Willies over many years and I have rarely been disappointed. It's true that he can sing just about any song and any genre and he'll make it his own. It's great that he and his sons are on this. I hope to hear more from his sons Lukas andMicah and Lukas sounds so much like Willie. Roll Me Up is such a classic Willie song with Kris Kristofferson, Jamey Johnson and Snoop Dogg. It's just a fun country song. Love this cd, another Willie classic, Can't wait for the next one.

I have a number of Willie Nelson albums and have always been entranced by his voice. Very few artists can put there "stamp" every song like he does! But this CD goes to a whole new level... Every song lyrically, melodically and vocally is stellar. I'm a BIG anti-drug person, but even the "pot" songs I love. Agreed this won't make in on country radio, but it should definitely be acknowledged on the award shows... A classic all the way... Only thing missing is Lee Ann Womack and I think Crystal Bowersox would have made a great duet partner!

I stopped listening to country 10 years ago. Singers that can not sing (live), and overly produced, inane lyrics...you know, the "formula" thing they do today. However, I'm a Willie fan so I decided to check out "Heroes". WOW! I've listened to this cd at least 10 times. It's wonderful! The lyrics, impeccably sung and played melodys combined with great duets from Lucas and all. This cd should be mandatory listening to all of the so called country "artists" currently faking their way through badly written , "sound the same" tunes "stuff" they are putting out. Heroes proves you do not have to overwhelm the audience with so many notes, played simultaneously that you can't discern what's being played on which instrument. It's minilistic (is that a word?) approach is soothing and entertaining as heck. Willie is getting better as he gets older. This album is soooooo good!

I've loved Willie for over 35 years and hearing selections from this masterpiece album in Starbucks, at Universal Studios, and in numerous (non-country) restaurants all over the LA area has convinced me that a wide audience really "gets" Willie!!

i am not a big fan of the new sound in country. and willie nelson has brout back the TRUE country sound that i love.

He is his own genre. This new album has been looping on my iPod since I bought it. It's really cool to hear Willie crooning with his son Lukas. Keep 'em coming Willie!

True love never hurt so bad. This is the most moving love song to come out since the turn of the century, if not longer. A true artist, full of pain from love lost. Many a man can relate!

He's good. Always been a great musician. He even does well with covers. Not everyone does well covering other people's songs. Willie is a man you can believe when he plays.

So, here's the deal folks. We only have a few of these incredible people left. Willie, Merle, Billy Joe Shaver….. I'm tailking about the Original Outlaws folks. Once these guys are gone, that's it. They are gone!!!!! I've been trying to see as many shows with these guys as possible, along with purchasing their product, as long as I like it. This album isn't at the top of the heap with Red Headed Stranger, Willie & Family Live, Yesterday's Wine, Phases & Stages, Willie Nelson Sings Kristofferson as well as others. It is however, up there with Spirit, Shotgun Willie, A Horse Called Music, and others. Willie is still putting out great material and pretty awesome live too. Support real Country Music while there still here…...

I am not a country music fan but I am I Willie Nelson fan. He has covered some of my favorite bands like Coldplay and now Pearl Jam. Each cover has made me love those songs in a whole new way. To say he is amazing or inspiring would be an understatement. He is simply put, in a league all his own. I take my hat off (figuratively speaking) to Mr. Nelson and thank you for your heartfelt, beautiful music.

Cream always rises to the top..Willie has made one fine album with Heros... Willie has made a great one here folks & brought along his sons to help lend a hand...hats off to the Nelsons!! Incredible! I know it's good when it gives me goosebumps. Chilling! Willie's vocals and lyrics translate into feelings that hit nerves the way piano keys hit notes. My man takes another evolutionary turn and he just keeps gettin' better and knocking' down doors. Mainstream radio just don't get it!

Willie has that special something as a songwriter that most don't have. It always sound real, true and honest. Possibly because he usually writes songs based on real events and feelings. It shows. And even when he does others songs he has the ability to take over ownership. Great effort. Keep on rolling Willie

A horse he called music will probablybe played at my funeral. I love that song and this album. After hearin this I dropped 400$ on concert ticks in Nashville. Too expensive for me to really afford but money comes and goes but legends and "heroes" are once and a life time.

It is amazing to realize that Willie Nelson continues to produce beautiful music at the highest level. Every song on this album is beautifully written and the production subtle yet multi-dimensional and layered. Willie clearly commands the best musicians in the industry which is evident in the time-earned perfection of their performances. If you listen intently, you will hear mastery in these performances…and something new every time you listen to the songs. And as a final gift, Lukas Nelson is carrying on the tradition in a completely new and different style all his own. The interplay of his vocals with Willie’s is perfectly delivered and completely complimentary. Time will prove the excellence of this work.

What makes me sad is that although this country music at its best, none of these songs will likely ever appear on the radio just because its not mainstream.

I am glad to see the Red Headed Stranger making music worth listening to in his golden years. Always an Outlaw in my mind.

When I hear his voice I am imported back in time and get the feeling of going back home! I love him and hes still as good as he ever was! I bow my head to the Master of Country music!

I recieved this CD directly from Willie Nelson's producer Buddy Cannon. It hasn't left my truck yet. Magnificent CD with Work from all kinds of different Artists. Just a tid bit of info for ya. Wiliie and Buddy wrote "Roll me up" in about 45 mins through text messaging. Thanks Dr. Booger Nelson!!!!!!

Willie is a national treasure. Heck he wrote that famous Patsy Cline song. Yeah Willie likes to smoke herb and he's one of the few of his generation that's cool and not a fool. As for the record, it's fantastic. Yeah all you young dudes, check it out and enjoy what maturity and music has to offer. By the way, there's nothing like my home in San Antone :)

Great album. Listening to Willie and Merle on the first track, A Horse Called Music, is so soothing, such a beautiful song, I feel like I'm melting into it.

Does anyone cover a song better than Willie Nelson? His interpretation of 'The Scientist' sends an ache and a joy to the heart all at once. Each track brings pleasure to the ear and h is duets with his son perfectly matched. A beautiful record. And at 70+ years of age, an inspiration! Keep the music coming please Willie.
