- Brilliant

Every track on this albums is a reflection of Madonna, including isaac. This is her art, nobody tells a painter how he/she should paint his/her work of art. Her religion is part of her life, there for reflected in her art. Every second of this album is pure Madonna brilliance (except maybe the word dork). Listen and enjoy without prejudice.

- So good it hurts

Madonna not only creates an amazing electronic dance album but she re creates an Abba song to perfection. This is a flawless album that is a must!!!!

- Just Amazing!

''Confessions On A Dancefloor'' is the first Madonna album I've ever heard and it was my first i tunes download! I just love it!

- Almost perfect!

Almost every beat, sound and lyric are perfect and delicious. There are two bumps in the road that distracted from the bigger vision. For Madonna to put the word "dork" in a song makes her seem like a lame Dad trying to make a tacky joke at Christmas dinner. It made me feel uncomfortable. I always thought that Madonna defied social expectations of age - except when she says "dork" in a song... The worst bump in the road was "Isaac". Very self-indulgent - seems to have nothing to do with the audience. Fans are not interested in Madonna's strange religious choices - in fact we find them alienating. It may seem that I'm being too critical when I gave five stars, but the reality is that Madonna is still solidly the reigning world-champion of pop-music - even in 2011 (Lady Gaga ain't nearly there yet - she just creates the illusion that she is - which is clever)... When you're the world-champion at anything, people will always expect the best - anything less will be noticed. This album is the best quality pop-music of 2005 - like it or not! The two bumps in the road still exist and both stick out like sore thumbs... But hey, those two road-bumps got me writing (and still thinking) about a six-year old album which is still an awesome expression of creativity and escapist-fun!

- This Is A GREAT Album

I love this album! It has catchy beats in all of it's songs and Madonna is a great singer! My favourite song from this album is Hung Up.

- utterly AWESOME

Back on form with a swinging, grooving sound we all LOVE Go Madonna - we want the remixes asap

- Madonna Dance floor style

Deffently something different and unique I think you'll either love it or hate it. It's easy to listen to when you having drinks, it won't ever be too busy to listen to, that'll want you to change the song, its good all the way through.

- Gives me the beat

Just downloaded Maddona's new album. I thought I would only like Hung Up and Sorry. But listening on my ipod last night I would say I really like all the songs except two, I Love New York and Like It or Not...each song has it's own beat and journey, it's a really good album.

- sad

sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad girl

- Brilliant

Best album since Ray of Light

- Resurrection

Once again Madonna has refreshingly ignited the dancefloor at a time when we are bombarded with tired & uninspired R&B rubbish. Thankyou for an album that takes us away from everyday life.

- Confessions on a Dance Floor / Madonna.

What can you say about Madonna that has not all ready been said. Love her or hate her, Madonna just keeps on Inventing her self. She is the true Queen of POP. Her best album yet. Amazing, Clever, Slick and its classy Entertainment.

- Three-and-a-half gems in a total yawn-fest!

C'mon folks - admit it. Madge just doesn't seem to be trying all that hard anymore. "Confessions..." starts off quite strongly, apart from 'Get Together', which sounds likeit was thrown together. Then, as soon as you get past 'I Love New York' (featuring the cringe-worthy "Other places make me feel like a dork" lyric, which demotes it to half-gem status for me), it spirals down into total, irrevocable blandness. My recommendation is to buy the tracks 'Hung Up', 'Sorry', 'Future Lovers' and 'I Love New York' separately and be glad you didn't pay for the rest of this very ordinary offering. Diehard Madonna fans will doubtless disagree, but most diehard fans of any act would buy a 70-minute recording of their idol passing wind and still consider it a masterpiece. For my money, I expected much greater things from such a legendary songwriter and performer.

- Sublime!

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Will never stop listening to this.

- Maddy's Comeback Album!!!

After the low fanfare of American Life, Madonna bounces back with this retro, 70's-inspired, disco-themed album. A fantastic album that begins with the banging, catchy, infectious hit single Hung Up that heavily samples ABBA's Gimme Gimme Gimme track. Nevertheless, the album moves better from hereon, bringing a new modern refreshing disco sound. Some of the standout tracks include Get Together, Sorry, Jump & Push. Probably the only weakest track here is Isaac, due to the obvious Kabbalah-influenced theme. Overall, a fantastic comeback album that solidifies Madonna's title as 'Queen of Pop'.

- Not bad

Not my type of music but still enjoyable. It's gotta katchy tune and the accompaniment makes it cool.

- Good album

However, not fantastic like others I’ve heard.

- Brilliant...with a few blind spots

Generally...this is a fantastic album - actually Sensational! From first listen this is just the most brilliant album. Great tunes, fantastic beats, you just want run to it, walk to it, work out to it, drive to it....hell even dance to it. The blindspots? Isaac is really average - too much like an excuse to play with her Judaism with a bass beat. And Push is ...ho hum. But otherwise, I think this could be her finest piece of work to date. She still has it! If you like dance music with beats and something you can sing to...you're gonna love this.

- Shes back and she rox!

This album not only got me movin, but has kept me groovin 24/7 since its purchase! Highly infectious sounds the whole album through. I can even forgive the daggy lyrics in "I love New York" which are more than compensated by the funky beat and catchy tune. "Sorry" and "How high" have to be my favorites on the album, but finding a favorite is very hard indeed, every song has its own merit. I am in love with this CD!

- Not Since the 80s has she been this good!

In my opinion this is the best album Madonna has ever made. Her blending of dance and pop with slight trance undertones really hits the spot for me. I have always had a soft spot for all of Madonna's 80s hits but I did lose my affection for her music during the 90s. But she is back and better than ever!

- Sonic perfection

The greatest album ever written, recorded and released! Hung up Sorry Forbidden love Let it will be How high Get together Jump Are all masterpieces!

- Electronic Funky Disco Dance. Madonna Style.

This album is a great direction for the girl who shook our world in the 80's. It revisits that time, but re vamped for ours. Throw in some Disco, add a ton of Electronic Funky Samples and you've got this highly creative album, even though highly over produced it is great if you like that top notched squeaky polished sound. I dig it, it's a fresh, brilliant compliment to Madonna's ever growing list of Albums. But hope she doesn't come back for more...

- Great love it

It is really cool. Madonna is back with a great new look and voice.

- OK!

This is a pritty good ambum! The best songs are:Hung up,Future Lovers,I Love New York, Jump, How High and Push Don't wast your mony on any other song!

- Madonna At Her Best

Get Together makes the album great, so much pop she made one hell of a comeback after american life.

- Yep... Theres confessions alright

Madonna... where do i start... shes too old... lyrics are terrible and the music is shocking... another piece of uninspirational garbage to hit iTunes music store

- Madonna at her best!!

MADONNA is back with her new album Confessions on a Dance Floor and it is an amazing album from begining to end and one of her best! All songs blend into each other while every track is fresh and unique. Leave it to Madonna to get the WORLD dancing again...Welcome back!!

- Plagiarism?

Hung Up has same tune as the ABBA song - Gimme Gimme Gimme (A man after midnight). It may be an old song that's not public, but it's still Plagiarism and this album just makes you yawn. madonna's also too old. lyrics are terrible.

- real beaut

SMOKE MY DONUTS

- Loved her from the get-go

Love this album, but then you're talking to someone who was grooving to Borderline way back when. This is a great album though. I don't care how old she is, she really does do some great stuff & just when you think it's all over (American Life, what was that!!!!), she does it again

- GR888888888888888888888888888TT!!!

this is a fantastic album by madonna. i especially love her 2 songs Sorry and hung up. they are so cool. and she MADONNA is so excellent. She Rocks!!!

- For the FANS

this version of the album contains different edits to the ones on the regular CD - the regular CD is a nonstop mix but this is cut into tracks and has some different intros and outros - VERY COOL - all fans must BUY it is the only way to get these versions! ENJOY one of Ms best albums for ages!

Confessions on a Dance Floor Wiki

Confessions on a Dance Floor is the tenth studio album by American singer and songwriter Madonna. It was released on November 9, 2005, by Warner Bros. Records. A complete departure from her previous studio album American Life (2003), the album includes influences of 1970s disco and 1980s electropop, as well as 2000s club music. Initially, she began working with Mirwais Ahmadzaï for the album but later felt that their collaboration was not going in the direction she desired. Madonna took her collaboration with Stuart Price who was overseeing her documentary I'm Going to Tell You a Secret. The album was mainly recorded at Price's home-studio where Madonna spent most of her time during the recordings. Musically, the record is structured like a DJ's set. The songs are sequenced and blended so that they are played continuously without any gaps. The title arrived from the fact that the album tracklisting consists of light-hearted and happy songs in the beginning, and progresses to much darker melodies and lyrics describing personal feelings and commitments. Songs on the album sample and reference the music of other dance-oriented artists like ABBA, Donna Summer, Pet Shop Boys, the Bee Gees and Depeche Mode, as well as Madonna's 1980s output. Madonna promoted the album through several live performances and a promotional tour. She embarked on the Confessions Tour in 2006, which became the highest-grossing tour ever for a female artist at that time. Four singles were released from the album. "Hung Up", the lead single, topped the charts in a total of 41 countries. According to Billboard, it was the most successful dance song of the decade. It was followed by "Sorry", which became Madonna's twelfth number-one single in the United Kingdom. "Get Together" and "Jump" were also released as singles, both becoming top-ten hits in several countries. The album received widespread acclaim, with critics calling it a return to form for Madonna and ranking it alongside her best albums. Madonna was honored with a Grammy Award for Best Electronic/Dance Album in 2007, as well as International Female Solo Artist at the 2006 BRIT Awards. Commercially, Confessions on a Dance Floor peaked at number one in 40 countries, earning a place in the 2007 Guinness World Records for topping the record charts in the most countries. The album sold between 3.6 to 4 million copies in its first-week worldwide, and remains one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century, with over 10 million copies. Ranked third on "The 99 Greatest Dance Albums of All Time" by Vice magazine, the album is noted as a testament to Madonna's longevity with the ability to continuously reinvent herself in the third decade of her career.
