Amazing Dance tracks and all around album!
i never liked madonna, but i finally gave her a chance after all this gaga, britney, katy and other rest lady's being judge for "copying" her and i gave her a chance and i got over 50+ plays on the first day. now i adore her!!! and this album
I'm not even a Madonna fan but I totally love this album. A masterpiece . If you love dance music ( its 2011 so of course you do ) then this is a must buy 4 u.
Good music but where are they now???lls
All I can say is GREAT piece of work from an AMAZING artist!!! Madonna really nailed it home with this album!!!!! Every track on this album is perfect!!!!!! Great album to work out to in the gym!!!! 5 stars!!
I've had a fascination with Madonna ever since I can remember. Though I never REALLY listened to her until recently, I was always fond of her. Confessions on a Dance Floor made me fall in love with her. It's such a well-rounded album with impeccable consistancy from beginning to end. Regarding the album, Madonna had commented that she wanted it to be a dance album that you can blast in your car without having to skip over a ballad. That's exactly what this is. Even ballad-esque songs are amped up and made incredibly fun to dance to. The beats are infectious, and some songs like "Hung Up", "Sorry", "Let It Will Be", "I Love New York", and "Push" (among all the others) are completely hypnotizing. You can't not dance to this album; it's flawless in every way, and completely lives up to Madonna's standard--and even pushes the envelope in some ways. Experience this album from beginning to end; don't skip over any tracks, and listen with great earphones/headphones because it's so much more amazing that way.
Just don't like it
Such a hot song! Love this song!! Every song on this album blends into the next song and gets you in a really good vibe! Love every remix of Jump !!
My favorite album by her!!!! And I think it's her best 1!!! ❤❤ I LUV MADONNA! 😍
I got a copy when I was 12 and still listen to it. I love all songs specially Hung up and Jump , they're all great!!! Very catchy , worth it!! The Confessions Tour was also her best ❤
This album is one of her greatest dance songs! Love it
I love her newer stuff and her older stuff, but this was her best album- hands down! I remember having dance offs to "Hung Up" after high school at track practice! Dang good memories! Love this album!
This is the best Madonna album after Ray of Light. I already got MDNA and is not better, not even approaching this album. Next album should be similar to Confessions on the Dance Floor or something very electronic/dance. She is not fitting very well within Pop Music anymore like before.
I miss this kind of Madonna albums. I hope she can do something like this anytime soon. Confession is just pure joy. The tracks mix perfectly and keep you in the mood of dacing. It opens with a perfect beat with Hung Up and then it just flows tack after track. This is pure dace. Perfection!!!!!
one of her best album ever :-)
The best album ever released! <3
This is her best album to date.
My favorite Madonna album, 'Confessions On A Dance Floor' was ahead of its time at its release, easily could've topped it's current competitors had it been released around this time *Cough* Rihanna & Katy Perry *Cough*. Best tracks: Hung Up, Sorry, Forbidden Love, Like It Or Not & Get Together.
Madonna u just make me wanna dance wanna live.....I love u
Firstly, to all those saying that Madonna "copied" ABBA, they gave her permission to use the beat for "Hung Up". Anyway, Confessions is definitely her best album of the '00s. There were no filler tracks. It was good from start to finish.
"Confessions" is not just one of Madonna's greatest albums, but also one of the greatest pure dance albums since the turn of the millennium. Every song flows so perfectly into one another, and so many different moods and themes are covered. Not only that, but this album features some of Madonna's best vocals and lyrics, particularly the stretch of the record from "Let It Will Be" to "How High."
Madonna delivered everything with this album! Let's hope 'MDNA' sounds similar! :)
Im sooo Hung Up on this album!! This is a must have! Madonna always comes back with an amazing album, and this album is my favorite album out of all her albums.
"Hung Up" took the world by storm when I was 12. I remembered that in those days I was not a big Madonna fan, but it was a song I absolutely loved. Nine years later, I finally went through and discovered that Confessions is not only my favorite Madonna album, topping even Ray of Light, but my favorite album altogether. Never has any album blended dance music so effortlessly. "Hung Up", "Get Together", "Future Lovers", "Let it Will Be", and "Jump" will keep you dancing throughout the night. The bad choices of lyrics are actually what makes "I Love New York" fun to sing along to. "Isaac" is her "Shanti" of the album, incorporating her Buddhist elements from Ray of Light. The "ballad" of the album would be "Forbidden Love", a dark and calming song over a slow dance beat. The only thing that could have helped this album commercially was if Madonna had waited 3-4 years to release this album, at the time in music where Gaga, Kesha, and Katy Perry had invaded the radio with EDM. This album would have put them all to shame, but was ahead of its time. Purchase this album with confidence: The Queen does not disappoint with any song on "Confessions".
I really wish that I had known that the transitions were not there in between songs. When I first started to get into Madonna, I downloaded all of her albums because I wasn't sure if I wanted to shell out the cash for her hefty discography. Now that I know how much her music is worth it, I'm a little upset that this version of the album doesn't have the amazing transitions that my downloaded version had and it still consisted of individual tracks. Other than this, it is still an amazing album and is a must have for long-time Madonna fans and new fans that are just discovering her alike.
Confessions is definitely my favorite Madonna album! I like every song but my personal favorites are "Future Lovers", "Sorry" and "Isaac". If I had to suggest anything, I think you should buy the dj-mixed one (the one that has no gaps and all the songs flow together - its also the physical copy version). Pop it in your car and turn up the bass..your car becomes a dance party!
Every song on this album is a hit. ZOMG. Madonnas best
We <3 U Madonna :)
if you are a madonna fan you will love this and if you are not, I am sure you still like it.
I grew up listening to Madonna and had her very first album when it was released, but Confessions to this date is my all time favorite out of the other 11.
Why??????????????
I love her old material but I have to admit that I am in love with every single song on this record! It has a unique sound and some really great beats that will make you want to get up and dance. Can't stop playing it. Highly recommended!
This has got to be one of the greatest albums of all time.
Hands down the best Madonna album. It's even more relevant than MDNA and out performs that album x10 folds. No fillers no "experimental" sounds just pure bliss from start to finish.
I love everything about this album!!!! the song "hung up" changed my life! it's like god was in control with madonna making this album! it's pure magic, it's one in a million, it's real pop music!
I LOVE THIS SONG 😘💋💋
One of the best CDs on my iPod! Love love love .....
This album is amazing!!!
This album is a non stop party from beginning to end. I love it!
One of the best if not THE best contemporary Madonna albums and tours.
This whole album is truly amazing and it's just makes me want to dance in my car all the time. It's ESP reminds me of New York and underground clubs. LOVES it!!
I just love this album. Madonna is my favorite music artist.
I am in a madonna kick and I love this album but rite now MDNA is the best.
Easily the best album of her career thus far.... right next to Ray of Light. Hopefully MDNA will be right up there on par with this one!
One of the best album created!!! Perfect duo with MDNA, if you know what I mean ;)
Disco is back, Madonna Style ;)
Loooove this album! Great dance album, & all the songs go together very well without them sounding the same.
i love hung up
As of 2011, the best album of Madonna's career. Hung Up, Jump, Sorry, and Get Together were excellent singles. Songs like Forbidden Love and I Love New York are among her greatest non-singles. The album flows really nicely.
This is a great album!!! Especially for those who love to dance, almost like the '80s Madonna but done in a more mature and experienced way. My favorite tracks are the last 4:How High, which is nice because it's very revealing and you have an incite into the wall she feels about her fame; Isaac, which is cool and has a good beat; Push, I don't know why but I LOVE this song and has a great beat too; and Like It Or Not, which is her telling people to F off cuz she ain't changing for nobody, love or the way she is or not at all. A Must-have album, totally recommend it!

I usually listen to Madonna's older stuff, because her 90s stuff wasn't really my style. I never really disliked it, but I wouldn't get it. however, this record is awesome. I love it. I'm really into dance music and such, like the Scissor Sisters and techno music... andI cannot stop listening to the new madonna! If you're into dance, get it. You won't regret it.
Love or hate her, Madonna's Confessions on the Dance Floor once again repeating her Ray of Light celebration or modern pop dance house- influence..whatever you want to call it. It is catchy, heavy-bass and refreshing. At the same time it is a record that makes you think. Technically well- produced it is a kind of an album that makes you 'wake' up especially in the morning and makes you 'think' for a while. Relevant or not, Madonna defines dance music, pop culture to the next level. Always fascinating, good marketing plot and superb quality of music, CODF is a worth-buying-album and at its best. Forget 50 Cents, let alone Mariah Carey or even Britney or Donna Summer, Madonna is the Queen.
She got back to what made her a great performer...very good...
This album confirms that Madonna is, and always has been, a monument to mediocrity; living proof that in today's pop "culture", attitude is an acceptable alternative to talent. The sounds produced by Ms. Ciccone here are, like her entire opus to date, a waste of plastic and a waste of space.
Madonna se ré-invente de nouveau. Un des meilleurs albums dance que j'ai écouté! Très Europeen comme son. Bravo ! La Reine est VRAIMENT de retour! Madonna is re-inventing herself again! One of the best dance record I ever heard... very "European-flavor" songs and recording! Bravo! The Queen is REALLY back!
I've bought this CD thinking It would be good when u listen to it since its at number one But it just bored me to death Madonna could of done better than this. When she goes for another 10 years and has another CD when she's 75!!! I will write her another review hopefully a decent one.
this cd stanks
Very catchy! Love the non-stop mix! A bit 'pop' for my taste - but very Madonna! I can tell this will be a best seller!
Wow! I waited months for the final release of this album, not knowing what to expect because although Madonna has ventured into dance territory before, this is her first attempt at an entire album themed around this style. Confessions is such an appropriate title as each song ventures down a different path that Madonna has taken in her life. Each song is to the point and honest. By far the best song on the album is I Love New York which is Madonna's anthem for the city she loves. Simple and effective, and even poking some fun at a certain political figure from Texas, this song brings to mind previous classics such as Vogue and Material Girl which stick in your mind because of their down to earth messages and catchy choruses. Electronica aside from Madonna's Ray of Light album, dance is definitely her forte and this album is a definite must have for fans and skeptics alike!
This album is great, each song has it's best seller quality, you will dance on every song. Buy it, it's worth the 10$.
Bravo!
BEEB BOP BLEEP "SO SLOWLY" Oh sorry im so inta this song that i'm singing it in my review all of this stuff is good! it's worth the $9.99 even though that's way to expensive, or maybe i'm just cheap... oh well good stuff!
wasnt much a fan of madonna but this one did it for me...
mag has a kid with a kredit card and millon's of suckers do something real or get of the machine and give some one new a kick at the can
Whenever a new Madonna album comes out reviewers jump all over her songs and dissect the words, their meaning, her direction. But they're missing the point. Madonna is about timelessness, creativity, sensuality. The more they try to label her, the more elusive her music becomes. That's what makes Madonna a legend and not a pop star. So dim the lights, mix a drink or two and dance the night away because this album is already a classic!
What a GREAT album.... This is the Madonna I LOVE AND MISSED! Hung Up is fun... Get Together has a great beat! Sorry and Forbidden Love are my FAVES for sure. Great Job Madonna.... and it's nice seeing your whole catalogue on iTunes!!!! BE SURE TO GET THIS ALBUM..... IT'S GREAT!!!!!! and alot of fun!!!!
Welcome back Madonna!!! Much like other Madonna fan's I wasn't sure what to expect, but this album is awsome. I fell in love with the first three tracks and the last three, the rest of the album is quite good also. For any Madonna fan out there you will adore this album....and shame on you if you haven't bought it yet!!!
You've gotta give it her for sneaking in with this one, she knows Kylie Minogue is coming back around the bend!
Wow she can do it everytime. The songs are so her but with a new sound to them. Thank god there is a MADONNA!
Has been? I doubt that. The Queen of Pop and now Dance has reclaimed her throne. For people that thought what could she do next? Well she has done it. This record is beyond brilliant and a must have for any CD/Record/Digital collection. Madonna & Stuart Price work together beautifully and understand each other to make what I feel is a perfect record. Start to finish - it's a solid record.
if you are into dance, pop, or any music of that matter.this album is for you. it has something for everyone. even if your not a fan of madonna's music, you'll probably love the beats. this album is hip-hop, dance, pop, and classical smushed together. this album is a great x mas present for any madonna fan!!!
i love this album cause she made lyrics to an old bands (ABBA) music..!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!.....she finally did it! MUAH TO YOU MADONNA!
When I heard that Madonna was going back to her dance roots I really didn't know what to expect, but when I heard her new single "hung up" I understood what she meant. However, it wasn't until I heard the entire CD that I truly felt the power and honesty of her new music. This CD is full of energy and will have you dancing and singing from beginning to end. My favourite tracks are "get together", "sorry", "let it will be", and above all... "like it or not". I recommend this CD to anyone who truly appreciates dance music.
I have had a chance to listen to the album a few times and unfortunately, I keep coming up with the same conclusion. If this album had been released by any other, it would be a flop. There are only 2 songs that are worthy of air time on the radio or TV. The lyrics are predictable and the same synth effects are used throughout the album which makes it sound like one long song. The only saving grace is Hung Up and Push, which sound different then the rest, although the only reason Hung Up is good is due to the fact that the song Gimme Gimme Gimme from Abba was sampled. I guess I expected more from someone as talented as Madonna. I suggest downloading the single and borrowing someone's CD. You will be disappointed buying it if you are a casual fan.
This CD is good, however, some of the songs are a bit creepy and nothing really lives up to the hit Hung Up. Key Tracks-Hung Up, Sorry, Push, I Love New York (the rest are good except Isaac)
This is the album for anyone who has thought Madonna lost her groove, the people that "only like old Madonna". While firmly entrenched in her roots, this album successfully marries cutting edge-dance with infectious pop. The lyrics aren't always all that clever (rhyming "f-off with golf" comes to mind), but who cares when all you want to do is dance?
Not as good as she usually does! Corny lyrics...'sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me'! Do us a favour Madge! Shallow songs. I think her last two albums were a lot better. BUT, you can't help but groove along to it in the car :)
Its been a long time since Madonna has put out a great dance album!
Am I the only one who has noticed this song is, in parts, a total carbon copy of ABBA's Gimme Gimme Gimme? I don't know - maybe it's supposed to be and I've missed the point but I think if it is an Abba re-mix, then they should occasionally get a little mention and a little credit for the inexplicable success of this rather dull-disco, uninspiring, unoriginal song.
The title says it all......SHE is back.....Great job and this album was very well designed...Excellent!!!
This is really bad! Madonna basically takes music and culture that has been around for years and claims it as her own! There is nothing new with her sound.
Once again, I was very disappointed when I purchased this CD, the tracks are very weak and unimaginative. Unfortunately, this is no Ray of Light! C'mon Madonna, you used to be creative, now it seems like you are whipping up a CD at the last minute.
Confessions find the Queen of Pop returning to her natural habitat i.e. dance floor. The near universally acclaimed album remains one of the best dance albums of all time. The opening track “Hung Up” is a 10 on 10 dance anthem that shook the dance floors around the world and probably on Mars too, when it hit iTunes for the first time in October, 2005.
