- EXCELENT ALBUM AND PERFORMANCE

This is a great Live Album...overall the performance...

- Ups and Downs

As good as his voice is, there are only so many times people can listen to the same songs over and over. One song that would be worth buying would be "You'll never find another love like mine." It's a duet so it's something different to break up his typical routine of oldies covers. He's a great vocalist and this showcases it, it's just that the songs are the same, wouldn't be worth buying on iTunes, but the DVD is good to watch (although he's better in concert, he's more conservative on the DVD).

- In good company...

They both have a very bright future... Absolutely, it's quite apparent Michael has a wonderful gift, and people, do yourself a favor and do alittle homework on the lovely and talented young woman in the duet:Laura Pausini. Did you notice Michael's emotions throughout that song? He's aware, and so should you, that Laura is a multiple Grammy winner who fills 90,000 seat Soccer stadiums in Europe. You tube has her performances "Live in Paris" and "Live in San Siro" amoung others for those of you interested. I give MB alot of credit for being able to sing with her. Great performance.

- Amazing Instrument

Michael Buble has a fantastic instrument.  I'm confused people are demanding he release original songs.  These people clearly don't understand the point of this recording.  Caught In the Act is all about how Michael interprets classics from the great American song book and jazz standards.  These songs are jems of our collective musical history and Michael does a wonderful job updating them with modern vocal ornaments while maintaining the integrety and sophistication of the pieces.  Put another way, no one complains when Yo-Yo Ma releases another recording interpreting Bach!  I applaud Michael for pressing on with his work bringing classics back into the mainstream-- I'm sure he recognizes negative reactions from less thoughtful pop listeners come with the territory.   

- All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth...

...that is the song that I would like to listen to in his next CD, I have always been a fan of this type of music. There is what is called jazz standards and that what he sings for the most part, I don't understand why some people think he is in some other music gender. I do like him as an artist and I am so glad that someone this young (other than me) know that these standards are to be revered and appreciated, the only thing that kinds of bothers me is that noise he makes with his diction just like if he was missing his two front teeth, it may be funny but actually Im serious, maybe is something that can be fixed he should check that out.

- Amazing Singer/Album

Another great but live opportunity to hear this amazing singer. Of course the songs are the same as previous albums this is a live in concert album what does everyone expect. I was so happy to hear the song again but with a live audience..can't wait to see him in person. I never get tired of his voice.

He is a very good singer don't get me wrong but if your going to put something out have it be new and good ( not saying it's bad) but live is not the best quality music I prefer studio recorded.

- Hot stuff

I just watched the PBS live in LA show, this guy is smoking hot and sounds great. He adds some new life to the great old songs and I think he is just finding his own groove and will be writing his own great stuff soon. His first real own song was great and I hope he will continue to do both. I will be watching!

- Some people just don't get it

I absolutely love this CD - so much that I believe the version of "Home" is better here than on the original recording. Michael Buble' is a fantastic singer/performer. For those who give this CD low ratings, I simply say that they don't get it. Sure, it would be nice to have other jewels like "Home", but one of the things that attracted me to MB's music is that he takes songs from another time and brings them to another generation deserving of such great music. Keep on with the standards, MB.

Ok, I know he needs some new stuff...but that's irrelevent. I could listen to his voice all day long...no matter what the song is. I love Buble!

- Really Amazing.

I am amazed at iTunes, they really allow anyone to write these reviews. It is my understanding that the review section is to provide a review of the music, not rant and rave about how you would like more music from an artist, or that you are bored with the current songs! iTunes has no pull with this artist, you should write HIM an email rather than waste space in this venue. Mr. Buble is wonderful, and it is because he has covered these songs that I feel he is an instant classic. Please, feel assured that you will enjoy both is own music and that which is covered.

- Not Redundant

I know reviews have been critical of Michael for being redundant in his recordings, but a lot of new artists get their start doing amazing covers of great songs that never get old, and the songs Michael overs never get old-- they're classics. I do hope he lends his poise to the pen a bit more, but still, I love his voice, his style, and his unique versions of songs. I mean, whoever can cover a George Michael song as well as he did, is pretty freakin talented. Give him time. His latest album got his name out in mainstream of the mainstream out there. The first was a tease. This "Caught In The Act" is a great way to entice ticket sales. After all, he really is THAT good in concert.

- I freakin' love his voice!

I love his music, his look, his personality, and his voice! I saw him in concert and I love his connection with the audience. When I saw him he jumped out into the audience and started giving people hugs. If he is reading this then I say Hi! and I dont think you remember me but, I think I might the only India(my name) you have ever met. I saw you in Kansas City because we were on vacation. - Same old same old

I've been a fan of Michael for awhile now but I'm getting bored. It's always the same old thing - nothing new and fresh and I have to admit that after seeing a recent interview with him he comes across quite pompous which isn't helping in my enjoyment of his new stuff.

I think Michael Buble is great!!!! Even if he does record other people's song... If you guys can do better, then why don't you have CDs out? Get off his back. GO Michael!!!!!

- A True Performer

Everybody knows that Michael Buble has an amazing voice, but what many don't discover until they have the pleasure of seeing him live is that he's also very, very funny. This album captures his energy, humor, and incredible talent perfectly. Obviously, as it's a live album, it's not all new material, but Charlie Chaplin's "Smile" is a definite highlight that only appears here. A must for any Buble addict, and definitely worth a listen for anybody else.

- All Michael is good

Michael Buble is good -- he makes my soul jump and it all makes me smile. This album or the next -- Buble is not like the rest.

- Feeling Good?

Why doesn't iTunes listen to the section of the song that is picked for the preview sample? How am I supposed to know if Feeling Good is something I would like with the sample they selected? I find this happens on more songs that it should, where the preview is wasted on nothing. Also, I found this performer while searching for Summer Wind which I found by everybody except the Chairman of the Board - let's see, no Frank, no Beatles, no Led Zep, no AC/DC, c'mon iTunes get ALL the music.

- One of his Best

Michael Buble is the top performer of our time. That being said, buy this CD at the store because it doesn't include the DVD that has the live performances on it. They are awesome. You will then get an idea of his terrific talent. If you just want the songs without the DVD then go ahead. It's still well worth the money!!!

Michael, your talent is awesome and I love the old standards you're covering, but it's time for some different material. How about "True Love Ways", "Over The Rainbow", "Shadow of Your Smile", etc?

So the DVD that comes with this CD is very good times!! Michael is an amazing performer and he quite the riot!! I love his impersonations of Josh Groban and Maroon 5!! The DVD is a must, I'm not so sure abou the CD but they come together so it doesn't really matter!! : )

Michael Buble evokes the kind of response that I usually reserve for very sentimental moments. His voice is so smooth, and he is even better live than his already phenomenal studio recordings. I highly recommend this live collection. You won't regret it!!!

- freaking unreal!!!

What a great live album!!! Some will criticize for not having new material, but as we listen to today's popular music, so many bands are covering songs anyway. Michael has taken classics, and put his own twist...when you have this CD/DVD combo, you'll find one of the best versions of Otis Redding's classic "Try a Little Tenderness." This music we thought was untouchable is now a new classic. Sure, Mr. Buble will come up with some more original material, and I'm sure it will be great, but keep pumping out new classics. They're great...and I, for one, will keep on buying it

- Buy CD PEOPLE

Not only does the cd come with 8 live songs it comes with a concert with 24 or something like that songs!!! Ive seen the concert on my dvd player 3 times it is so cool. Michael Buble is so funny in it. Go to Target to get both the 8 songs and the concert for like 25 bucks. Don't do it at iTunes. Sincerely -Chevyman820

You definitely have a great singing voice and I like the way you help improved some old songs that's been with us awhile however, don't be afraid to venture in some new products and who knows. Let us be the judge.

- Memories of the Concert

If you've never been to one of his concerts, you may not appreciate this album, but after listening to the first song, it felt like I was right back at the concert waiting for him to come on. I think this CD is great! I would love some new stuff though.

- A Tired Fan

I am SO a fan of Michael! HOWEVER, the same tunes are getting a little old, man. Your voice is great on record, you give AWESOME concerts. But some new tunes would be a refreshing touch to a thirsty audience for things "Buble." I am still a fan, but I would love to hear something fresh from a master at his genre.

Another attempt at a full-length that exposes the artist's and/or management teams indecisiveness to release a broad scale project of songs that are NEW. LOVE the voice but AGONIZING for fans.

I only bought the song "Smile" cause it is one of my favorites... but this version is so wrong on so many levels... I'd like my 99 cents back!!... You dont get to hear the horribe trumpets in the 30 second preview which start pretty much at the 30 second mark... a beautiful song ruined by failing to grasp the essence of the song...

I dont care what other people say about redoing songs, it is very rare to get an amazing voice like his today in age... i would have to agree that he is the Frank Sinatra of today..

Give the man some time, I'm sure he's got some more works on the way after he gets back from his over sea's tour. From what I hear he has done a few more great covers that could likely show up on an album.

- An Album worth downloading...

With the voice of michael buble, it is no doubt that he can mesmerize a thousand crowd. Though you're an adult, a kid or a teenager, you will love this album. Even if the songs are revival of the popular singers, Michael gives it a different taste and mix while maintaning the "tanginess" of the song. All in all, he is a man, like the songs he sings, who will be cherished for years

His voice is amazing and has some good songs but most of the music is way to slow. He should use his awesome voice for faster songs. My fav song Home

Everyones complaining about how he hasn't put anything new out. It's Time is an album that was released last year, believe me new stuff is on the way.The live versions are awesome and have a different sound than the album versions. highly recommend this for all those buble fans.

I liked him better when he wrote his own songs and called himself Harry Connick Jr.

- Live albums just don't get any better!

My favorite part of this album is the opening music to Feeling Good. I am so glad they included that, because it reminds me of his concerts. It is a great build up to a really great song. Michael in concert is a completely incredible experience. This album gives you a good idea of that experience.

- The Good, The Bad, and The Crooner

Against other's slandering reviews of this album, it truley is a great set. I agree that it is somewhat frusterating to be sold the same songs over and over again, but this album gives a real insight to his on-stage personality. In a day and age where so many artists are over produced and digitalized, it's great to hear someone with a truely good voice putting their unique spin on the jazz standards. If you're interested in buy this album, I'd reccomend not to get this off iTunes, but instead go but the physical copy because it comes with a DVD as well. He's shown so much improvement since his last live CD/DVD (Come Fly With Me) and it's really entertaining to see the atmosphere he creates at his shows. Definatly A+ material.

- Funnn!

This is a really good live concert album. It only has seven songs but they each individually are great pieces. My daughter and I dance to Summer Wind about every day and she lights up. Smile is beautiful. Feeling Good is just superb too. Home is beautiful and just seems to take your mind back home.

- Crooner, Charismatic and Charming

I saw Bublé performing these songs Live at the Montreal Jazz Fest and it was by far the best show I ever heard. The band was amazing and Bublé is really a great entertainer. His voice is mature, powerful and always perfect! If you have the chance to see Bublé Live, go see it but if not, this CD will bring you almost the same feeling as if you were in the crowd.Thumbs up!

let me just say that i went to his concert this summer in vancouver. it was the best concert that i have ever been to. the dvd portion is a must have for everyone who did not go. you think he sounds good while recording? he sounds even better live. he had AMAZING stage presence. not only does he sing, he also gets the audience involved! everyone must watch the taped concert in LA. whether you're a jazz fanatic or not, you will fall in love with not only his voice, but michael buble himself.

Michael Bublé is the new voice of jazz. This CD/DVD combo is amazing! His voice his so velvety smooth that it will draw you into music and have you snapping your fingers and tapping your feet before you even realize it. Sinatra can sing, but Bublé will enrapture you - mind, body and soul. His music is an amplification of the emotions you feel in life. You'd be missing the most important part of life's soundtrack if you don't add this wonderfully beautiful music to your collection.

Beautiful, smooth voice; exceptional performer, charismatic, great stage presence, CANADIAN! If you get a chance to see Michael live, definitely do so! This CD (and DVD) showcases his amazing talent perfectly. His previous CDs, 'It's Time", "Let it Snow" and his self-titled debut are great additions to any collection and always puts me in a great mood. "Smile" is my personal favorite on this disc. He is the Sinatra of my generation; there is no one like him out there, no one even come close. If you have not fallen in love with Michael Bublé yet, what are you waiting for?

I highly recommend his self tiled debut, Michael Buble (03), Come Fly With Me (04), Its Time & his latest: Caught in the Act-Live (05). Guys like Buble and fellow velvet-voiced Canuck Matt Dusk, both in their early 20's, are the trend setting modern raconteurs of this genre. Imagine a Buble & Dusk hook up with Renee Olstead & Joss Stone to rip a tune or two, or better yet cut a record together.
