This is worth every cent. It’s an amazing production and adaption — they really outdid themselves. Bravo.

My favorite musical of all time. I love the original London production and the movie. Haven't liked other versions at all. And I was prepared for this production to be like the others and to be disappointed. So glad I was shocked how good it was. Dixon KILLED. Crushed this performance. Acting and singing. Legend was good as was Sara B. Supporting cast fantastic . It's modernized, cool and shows you how brilliant Rice and ALW are. Nearly 50 years later. Not one song is a clunker. Everything about this is the best production since the original. PLEASE bring this cast and production to Broadway.

Well presented and staged. Acting was flat and they depended on star reputation and singing. The music/singing lack the punch of the original studio album and the 70s Movie.

Watching this made me want to do musical theater again! So empowering! Can’t go wrong with John and Sara! :)

What inspired casting, what voices, what performances! Simply amazing!

When I first heard that NBC was doing this and saw that John Legend was playing JC I was very skeptical, thinking to myself “why do these networks have to ruin my favorite shows.” Boy was I wrong. Legend may not be Ted Neely but he brought his own style and used his silky smooth falsetto in place of the typical screech belt JC has. The whole cast was great, Dixon stole the show as Judas, but hey it’s pretty much the story through his eyes. I hope that this starts a trend of well done stage productions being televised. We need more of this, most people can’t go see live productions and when networks produce great shows like this everyone wins.

I cant say Ive really ever been into musicals but this production too me by surprise. The artists were just amazing. The songs are so well done! Sara was just brilliat as Mary.

It's wrapping up right now (live) and I have to say that I'm impressed. You can tell the leads put a lot of effort into their roles, the supporting cast did a very nice job, and Alice Cooper was a treat. Different than the 1973 film but definitely worth checking out, and a nice Easter Sunday treat.

An abundance of talent from everyone in the cast, musicians and of course book and music. Sara Bareilles soulful singing is moving.

Brandon Victor Dixon is the newly annointed superstar. He rocked the house with his renditions and acting of the musical. Sara Bareilles has a pure and sweet voice. Is there anything more we can say about the Legend? His stature in the music industry drew those who wouldn't be normally interested in Broadway to this TV music spectacle. NBC got the formula right by mixing established Broadway veterans with well known pop stars. Best live TV musical in a long time.

Wasn’t overly impressed, but it wasn’t bad. Solid 7/10

In my humble opinion... Judas stole the show, Simon Zealots was a close second. Jesus’s voice failed him... but it was live (and slightly ironic). Mary was solid and humble, perfect approach. Set, costume, lighting design and orchestra were first rate. Choreography was exceptional and at times felt like a Pentecostal revival. The Crucifixion/John Nineteen: Forty-One were meticulously staged though Jesus spoken final words were paced too fast for the tempo of the piece. The Overture set up the show perfectly (as a well staged overture should). Overall... the best live musical to date and proof that you either get star power (Legend) or true well rounded talent (Dixon), but rarely both.

I like John Legend, but the man that played Judas and the man that played Caliphas were amazing, Broadway talent thru and thru with those two. It is different than the movie version from the 70's, but still wonderful to watch. This musical is probably in my top two of Andrew Lloyd Webber's work; tough call between this and Phantom.

This by far was the meat live performance I’ve ever seen on TV. Every person did a superior job, from on stage to music to behind the scenes!

I had only hoped they did justice to it but they actually surpassed all my hopes. Amazing.
