Comfortable by Lauv Song Info
“Comfortable” is the third track on Lauv’s debut compilation album "I met you when I was 18". It was initially released as the second track of his debut EP "Lost in the Light". The track features a jazzy, upbeat melody which goes back to Lauv’s roots as he learnt jazz guitar over regular guitar when he was in high school. He discussed this in an interview with Coup De Main: "It’s funny because when I first started learning the jazz stuff when I was younger I was like, “Oh I’ll never use this.” Then for example on my song ‘Comfortable,’ when I was writing that song I just started using these ideas, a couple of weird chords throughout, and I was like, ‘Wow, I finally did use some jazz!’" Lyrically, the track describes a situation where he questions his relationship to a significant other. He feels that love is fading between the two of them, and they are only holding on because they are comfortable.
