I really love the singles from Sweetener. No Tears left to Cry is a beautiful masterpiece. God is a Woman is also beautiful and atmospheric. Breathin is on my quarantine playlist and it really is a gorgeous track, it just was a little overplayed. The rest of the album isn’t very good, though.

I’m not too crazy about Ariana’s music, I’m too old fashion for that. But I can listen to those powerful yet soothing vocals all day. As a matter of fact listening to this album back in ‘18 helped me get through some rough times. There’s way too many songs in this album, some fun, some silly but it gives Ariana enough room to experiment without having to compromise. When she gets down to business though (God is a Woman, Breathing, No Tears Left to Cry, Get well soon) that’s when the true essence of her raw, god-given talent shines through. Watching her perform these songs live is something that has to be experienced.

I love some of the songs in this album. I feel like she nailed the emotional connection, production, lyrics, and beauty on some of these songs. I actually don’t mind sweetener I think it’s cute and uplifting but, successful, the light is coming, blazed, and borderline are just off and repetitive. I sadly wish that this album had more to it. I feel like most songs just come and go because they have the same trap beat. The songs I do like are: - God is a woman - breathin - better off - goodnight n go - get well soon I wish there was more variety in genres of the songs, and I was hoping to hear her incredible vocal ability but I didn’t get it. It doesn’t mean it’s a terrible album though, the style isn’t for me and I’m okay with that. This album leaves me longing for more but I’m left empty handed.

Sweetener in is a glorious blend of some amazing songs that combine funky and eccentric rhythms with pastel and mallow songs that make you feel like you are floating! Unfortunately the album is let down by some songs like “the light is coming” and “successful” and to be honest “sweetener” the song was the worst in my opinion. Overall a good album with the sad inclusion of the light is coming.... oh god

A fair bit has been said about this album in the reviews, and all comments have some merit to them. This is definitely a standout album this year with lots of powerful tracks that inspire good beats and good vibes. As with most new albums there are a couple of flaws and songs that leave the listener wondering why they were added to the album in the first place. Some comments have said this is one of the best albums of the year, that’s fair to say. Other comments have said some of it is lack lustre, and that is fair to say. But the songs that shine outweigh the songs that bring the album quality down. A lot of this album shows a maturing Ariana Grande who really seems to be grasping adulthood and is moving on from the more popcentric tunes from yesteryear. No tears left to cry and god is a woman are definitely the standouts, borderline is actually a decent album filler, get well soon is a well constructed song about hard times in life, and there are a plethora of other songs that are worthy of high praise in today’s music industry. The light is coming, whilst having an alright chorus, is still a major low point for the album. And whilst the Pete Davidson part? Song? Filler? (Whatever you call it) is decent, something about its inclusion doesn’t seem right. Hopefully they stay together forever to stop that song from coming back to haunt both parties in the relationship. Good song, but maybe a little risky. Also to anyone who gave this album 1 star because of a problem with iTunes and not the quality of the album, what the hell, the ratings are meant to be for the quality of the album!! Is that really to hard to grasp??

This is her most personal album to date and probably the most relatable in such a personal level. Her song ‘breathin’ makes a lot of people dealing with anxiety help cope with their own personal demons and stuff like that. There’s definitely a balance with songs that are therapeutic and pure pop songs like ‘NTLTC’ and ‘GIW’ that you can just groove into. It is an extremely emotional album with incredible songs . However some sound very similar to each other 😔. Overall a good album but if only interested in a few songs than do not get whole album. Give the songs time and you’ll learn to love them ❤️
