I LOVE his music so much I’m kind of obsessed. I have the blinding lights ringtone and everything. Any who I love this album and pretty much all of his songs. Omg also there are so many haters on here being just plain rude...GET A LIFE. I mean come on don’t diss him for his album covers. Here’s a fun little fact: he dresses up in fake blood and casts and head wraps to get rid of stereotypes in music/celebrities in general. Every celebrity pretty much where’s way too much makeup during events and things where their gonna be on tv. Instead of that he where’s bloody makeup and head wraps etc etc. in my option there’s no reason for people to be like “omg your a R&B singer stop with the stupid blood” I say that because those haters aren’t a accomplished talented singer like he is so it’s dumb of them to hate and just makes them look jealous and rude. Anyway if anyone read this don’t come at me like “oh your just some crazy fan and your dissing everyone who doesn’t like The Weeknd” because I’m not I’m just saying that kindness is FREE.

This album been out for a while now and if anything it gets better the more I listen to it.

Amazing work done by The Weeknd yet again, bringing old melodic tones from his Trilogy album, refining it and making it a new masterpiece, “After Hours”.

At first I didn’t like it and kept skipping it but when I actually let it play I enjoyed it. Save your tears is great. But I still think Starboy is better, not that these are terrible, but Starboy is better. Great job though 👏🏾

hella different compared to his past albums but in a way there are certain songs that give me trilogy vibes (scared to live, until i bleed out, etc.) also this album includes more pop funk/soft rnb with all of its songs, it is very versatile in that way. however if i had to compare this album to any of his past albums, i’d say this album is a bit of a mix between trilogy and beauty behind the madness but it definitely carries a twist of its own. great work by abel again tho. x.

A not-so-subtle interpolation can be heard throughout After Hours, but would Moby approve? The title track finds Abel finally giving long time listeners a glimpse of heartfelt emotion not heard from the last two singles, along with the genre bending atmospheric sound that they have been begging for. It screams Abel. And even follows a three act structure inspired by filmmaking, much like past work by the artist Opening the first act is a two minute Kiss Landish strumming where Abel lays the foundation of what is to come, a romance gone awry. Act two delves deeper into a proper song structure but is incredibly dynamic as the upbeat tempo clashes with the contents of Abels songwriting where the singer makes a plead to his lover begging for her return. It is pulled it off brilliantly. Finally, the last minute marks act three where the track abruptly finds Abel taking ownership for his faults alongside an echoing silence While the song is essentially just another love story, Abels signature makes it sound so unique and exceptional that this could have easily been the theme of a new Bond film (it fits perfectly over the trailer). Or perhaps it just might be best suited for Jason Bourne instead

The Weeknd scores another direct smash hit with this album. Something for fans of Trilogy, Kiss Land and Starboy. The 80s feel in some of these tracks are exceptional. Best song: Scared To Live. Highly Recommended!

This is hands down Abel’s best studio album yet, one song led to the next in such a smooth way without needing transitions. Blinding lights also deserves to be the lead title track of the album. Hardest to love, too late, escape from LA, until I bleed out, faith, snowchild and in your eyes are on reload atm. XOTWODDDDDDD

Truly an absolute masterpiece, it’s rare these days to get a full artistic album with a story interwoven through every song! But this song has a very strong theme and production that puts it a step above most albums. Definitely a well deserved score.

What can I say about hot mess, in the beginning there was an artist, an edge, we saw the inspiration and supported the journey, iTunes should have a refund button that notifies the artist that you ain’t cutting it anymore. Maybe being broke is the way forward because it’s like he’s not even trying, like so many artist who barely improve or maybe it’s this new microwave era. OR maybe he’s like Samson and needs to grow his hair back to make good music again.

This album is a whole masterpiece, I never do these reviews but this is probably my favorite album I’ve heard in a long time. No skips, favorites have to be Blinding Lights, Hardest to Love, Alone Again, Snowchild, Faith, After Hours, Save Your Tears, Heartless - basically the whole album!

After awful and boring album with Daft Punk finally we get to listen old school and real The Weeknd! Incredible cohesive and well produced album that will become his best one! Hats off
