Really nice to get some more personal songs from Melanie. Her concept albums following her character, Cry Baby, are amazing. But it’s nice to get some insight into her own thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Not a single bad track.

Melanie truly is an artist. Her way with words, metaphors, and symbolism is incredible. I also love how she talks about serious issues like people only supporting BLM or other movement as an aesthetic or for clout. Love the ep. ❤️ (Btw: Test me really connected with me)

The songs are Melanie flavored, they are something different for sure and more songs are losing the catchiness the chorus of Notebook and Numbers were underwhelming. Brain and Heart was the least favorite because it was like a poem transformed into a dragging song. However Bakery is great and the whole album is creative and unique. But you can’t beat Crybaby. I was hoping something would top it, but I think Crybaby will be known as a masterpiece.

I know this is a more personal and experimental album for sure, although i feel like some songs were off-beat my favorite songs were The Bakery, Test Me, Glued, and Field Trip. I just bought it today and don’t regret it at all. Oh i wish for future albums we could get a different producer to evolve her sound.
