My girlfriend is a huge Shawn mendes fan. I never really enjoyed his work until now. This album really is a piece of art. Each song has that rise and fall ,but they’re each they’re own special song. I look forward to more of his work.

I love Shawn and his music but this album is not it whatsoever! i tried to listen to it over again to see if songs would grow on me but i just keep getting headaches. Wonder and Monster are the only songs I like and i don’t really think that’s changing.

as someone who’s been a fan of shawn since his beginning, i am yet again impressed by his skills and talent. wonder has surpassed his three prior albums and i can easily say it’s his best yet. usually when i listen to an album i hear a song that’s the “weak link,” or song that i would skip. but with this album, there is no “weak link” song. every single song is a masterpiece and i can’t see myself ever getting tired of this album.

I had a lot of expectations with this album and was excited to hear all the songs. I have listened to all of them and I only like 5 of the songs in the album, WONDER, 24 HRS, TEACH ME HOW TO LOVE, DREAM and ALWAYS BEEN YOU, the best song which is the INTRO in my opinion should have been a full length song. Just disappointed, with all the hype it was getting, I was expecting more

I was originally not a Shawn Mendes fan until this past summer when I introduced myself to Illuminate. It was there that I realized how good of a voice he has. I did not realize how young he was during Illuminate’s release until I watched the Netflix documentary. The Netflix documentary made me want to purchase Wonder as the buildup leading to Shawn creating ‘Wonder’ were amazing. He lives and breathes for music and it really shows in this album. He is so young yet musically amazing. 5 stars.

I’ve got to say.... I’m very disappointed by this album🥺 By no means is it a bad album, buuuuut Most of the songs have the exact same structure! And the production is waaaay too much at times😬 I’m not saying it’s a terrible album though! I had a good time listening....I was just expecting better🤷‍♂️ My favs are - Wonder, Monster, Always been you, Piece of you, and Teach me how to love! Definitely gonna give it a few more listens and who knows!? My opinion may change in time!🙃 Merry Christmas! Stay safe💗

I was so excited for this album, especially for “Look Up At the Stars” and Shawn did not disappoint. You can really hear how much he loves Camila throughout songs like “24 Hours” and I love that about them, how much the love each other and aren’t afraid to show it. It’s also cool to hear his take on the music industry with Justin Bieber in “Monster” which I was a little skeptical of at first but turned out to be another great song. Another of my favorites is “305” which honestly just has a really great beat and gets me all hyped up. I just want to say thank you to Shawn for blessing us with another incredible album and I hope he knows how much we love him and appreciate him :) 🤍🤍🤍

This album is so good. It was inspired by older music so if you love old music you will love this. This album shows us a more vulnerable side of Shawn and a look at his relationship with Camila Cabello. Give it a listen.

REALLY LOVE THE SONGS AND LYRICS

Shawn Mendes shows so much growth and maturity in his songwriting, singing, and sound through this album. The uptempo songs like “Higher”, “Teach Me How To Love”, “Piece of You”, and many more were very unexpected. There are still many tender moments too, like “24 Hours” and “Can’t Imagine.” In addition, there are very powerful pop-rock songs like “Wonder”, “Call My Friends”, and “Dream”. Shawn has finally figured out a general sound that suits him best. His voice sounds so angelic throughout the album. There is not a single dull track on here, and the album is enjoyable from front to back, which is very rare nowadays. The sequencing of the songs is so perfect, making the album flow very smoothly. This is definitely Shawn’s best album yet! So proud of him! 👍❤️

I was a big Shawn Mendes fan in the past few years (I loved sm3) but I don’t know this just didn’t do it for me. A lot of it sounded the same. The only track I actually really liked was “look up at the stars” but that’s pretty much it.

Took me a bit to really enjoy the album , had to listen to it twice to really appreciate the music .. some songs need more than 1 listen initially.. Can’t get enough of it now 💪🏻

I’ll start with the positive. Wonder, monster, and dream are good songs. But the rest, it seams he is chasing the style of Billie Eilish, Charlie Puth, and Harry Styles. I like his old albums b/c they didn’t have that Billie alternative sound. So, in all, about a 3/5 star album.

With this album Shawn showcased how much he has grown from his last album in terms of production, sound and vocal. It’s like a letter to this self(Wonder, Monster), his friends(Call my friends), his love(always been you, dream, teach me how to love and many more) and his fans(look up at the stars). Though the album is mainly about love but he didn’t hesitate to be vulnerable self in his songs like Wonder, Monster, 305 and Can’t Imagine, where he expressed his insecurities about himself, the pressures of being his best version. This album will grow onto you when you listen to it more, it’s not the instinct pop jams but songs like higher, piece of you and teach me how to love have the potential to be your next jams while driving or working. These are on my running playlist, “higher” really make me feel high.
