LALA wasn’t the return I expected, but Best of Me came in and completely shook the table! So infectious. I was nervous about the album; ALICIA was solid, it seemed overly commercial though as if she was trying to appeal to an unspecific demographic. BUT let me tell you!!! Listening to THIS album was something visceral. The range. The vocal theatrics, the genre bending, the jazz, the club, all while the transitions were smooth and effective. ‘Billions’ ‘SkyDive’ ‘Is It Insane’ Omg. I can’t say we got old Alicia back, because this is just different… and amazing as heck. Lord help me.

This new "Best Of Me" joint is giving me Sade vibes. I am diggin' this vibe. Alicia Keys got the voice for this.
