The pop girls may want to get back in the studio to cook, for as of now it looks as though Ava is poised to take her place as not A pop princess, but THEE pop princess. Too many artists both within pop and other genres try too hard to reinvent the wheel and show off some niche aspect of their personality, whereas Ava simply gets in your face with the unabashed pop perfection that takes you back to the golden age of pop music. No faux introspection or feigning a sense of depth, Ava simply sought to write a breakup record that allowed the listener to get up and move like it’s their last chance. Diamonds & Dancefloors can be listed under the pop Bible category next to Britney’s Blackout, Gaga’s The Fame Monster, Carly’s EMOTION, and Dua’s Future Nostalgia. Ava should sleep well knowing her time to break into the mainstream had arrived, despite the many challenges along the way.

Just what pop music needed! Been an Avatar since Torn and have become obsessed with everything she releases! She deserves to be bigger in the US and needs more recognition! Fav songs are Cold As Ice, Get Outta My Heart, One Of Us, and Million Dollar Baby!

It’s a total masterpiece

This is perfectly acceptable for what it is. The production is really good and the beats are really good and the songs are mostly catchy. The things that hold it back is its consistency and its lack of features. Ava Max is a singles artist, in the sense that all of the best songs are the singles. “Maybe You’re the Problem” is indefinitely my favorite song by her. But the deep cuts on this are not as memorable or catchy as her singles and are pretty much filler. You could cut this album in half and it would feel the same. The only non-single on here worth listening to is “Sleepwalker”, which I really like. Also, Ava Max isn’t a very interesting vocalist, and I think she needs more features, because just her singing gets old fast. This album is okay. There’s plenty of stuff I like. But listening to it front to back is a just little exhausting.

Every song is a banger! 😁 Great album and well worth the wait for sure! Especially ‘Ghost’ that song is my favorite on the album!
