I would have to say that for being a weirdo Michael Jackson did make some great music that will always have a place in American history.

The three stars aren't for the original album content - that album is pretty good. I always imagine it done with a live funk band, and real instruments, but then again, I'm no Mike or Quincy, so I just need to shut the hell up. As for the new content, some is interesting. Interviews, eh, whatever. Those remixes, though. Good goats people. Did no one actually LISTEN to them before thinking they were worth 99 cents? Seriously, total garbage not worth the time it took to write this review. Run, don't walk, RUN to a used CD shop and buy the original album. Leave this BS alone.

Nice remixes except for Billie Jean. Where's Kanye at? I was really hoping to hear him drop a rhyme. C'mon now!

Good News... This is simply the best album ever. Bad News... He died today (June 25, 2009) at 3:15 PM in Los Angeles, California. All pay tributes by buying his songs. And some albums. If not, ALL OF THEM!!!

Everything I had previously heard about the 25th anniversary release of Thriller made it seem like there were all these 'new' versions of the songs. Sure there are a couple of good ones (The Girl is Mine w/ will.i.am and Wanna Be... w/ Akon) but the rest of the 'album' is a rehash of the same one I already have on my IPOD. Save money and only download the songs mentioned above, skip Quincy Jones (like he needs more money, right?), and finally, settle for the original Thriller that still is worthy of owning (even if Jacko is still a Wacko).

Of course the original 9 cuts of Thriller remind us all of how magnificent a talent Michael Jackson is and how the music industry now is missing someone of his talent. The album is brilliant. 7 of the 9 cuts were top 10 hits. His use of music videos revolutionary. His performance on Motown 25 one of the greatest performances of all time. However, that being said, the remixes do little to enhance the original album. I love MJ but the majority of the remixes are mediocre (and that's being nice) Fergie's Beat It is horrible. Kanye West Billie Jean a disappointment. Surprisingly, Akon's Wanna Be Startin Something is a nice refreshing new take on the original although the orginal still outshines this one. For All Time is a nice unreleased cut. As a MJ fan I bought it. I only hope this is a sign that the Master will return with something truly new.

What an unexpected thing, Michael's passing today as CNN confirms his death at 6:25pm Central time. This album will last as long as there are any sort of devices in existance that play music.

This is the best album I have ever heard! Unfortunately I didn't grow up in the age when he was very popular, but me and my frinds LOVE this cd and we listen to it all the time. Buy the entire album if you love michael jackson or if you have never heard him, this will make you love him! He may have a really weird personal life, but you shouldn't let that get in the way of loving his musical works of genius. I just want the old MJ back, cuz he seemed like he was such a cool guy back then! The Thriller 25 album has the original Thriller album, the original music videos (including the debut of his moonwalk on mowtown 25), a previosly unreleased track, "For All Time" (which is like my new favorite song), and some remixes that are very danceable to. Love the Album, Love the King, and Love Everything About This! Go Michael and I hope that this album stays popular for another 25 years!

Michael was a great artist ilove all of these songs except for kanye west's version of Billie Jean. Billie Jean is my favorite song then PYT and Black Or White. It didnt work for me. But still 5 STARS. I hope I will see you in heaven Michael!!!

Pyt 2008 is phenomenal! Mjs BRAND NEW VOCALS on Wanna Be Startin Somethin 2008 ft Akon are sizziling! Its ruff and edgy and fits mj well, i get chills each time i hear it! Billie Jean @008 its ok, it was slowed down and Kanye says like 2 lines lol, but overall its a good mix. Beat it 2008, i honestly hated it, but after a few times, i got used 2 fergies voice. With all his controversy aside, nobody can ever dispute the enormous talent and tremendous ability Michael Jackson had. I think my generation , kids or teens from the late 70s to early 80s who grew up listening to Michael are the ones who are most possessive of his work and do not want to see anyone messing up with his music. Those were good times and should be left alone. Having said that to me no one will ever be good enough or will come close to what Michael has given us during those times. But if having these re-mixes may be a gateway for younger generations to discover Michael's music and somehow create an impact to their lives the way it did mine 25 years ago then for that alone i am willing to overlook this transgression. So for those who think these re-mixes are let-downs of Thriller legacy, c'mon guys, it cannot take away the greatness of Thriller. Another 25 years from now ,Thriller will still be remembered for what it was and continues to represent , an album that broke racial barrier around the world and a celebration of what good music is all about

Thriller is the best song ever made! And it had the best music video! This is not the kind of CD you would but for only one song, all the songs are great. I like the remixes on this CD also, they aren't bad. You must buy this album, it is worth every penny!

This is the Greatest Album Ever, I don't care what has happen in Mike's private life. I never heard of a artist having 8 #1 songs off 1 album, if any albums on here deserves 5 stars this is the one.

The remixes were absoutly nausiating. Michael must really be desperate these days if he actually released this trash with his name on it just to gain some popularity with the younger crowd. Many of the remix's lyrics were on the sexually explict side of the spectrum and ruined the songs. MY ADVICE: Save yourself the agrivation and money and buy the original songs individually or in the original album.
