- wonderful

this is a wonderful album. So many catchy tunes. some sads songs on the album. The album hits home. I cant stop listening to it. I would recommend it to anyone!!!

- On My Way Here

I love this album. Every song is unique from the others. I can't pick a favorite yet but this album really shows the range and beauty of his voice. The Real Me is heart wrentchingly beautiful. Everything I Don't Need is very fun and unusual. The title track is wonderful and easy to identify with. I highly recommend it to others. You won't be disappointed.

- Boring

I played this album came back to my computer to see if it had changed tracks because all the songs sound exactly the same. This kid has a nice voice don't get me wrong but the material is so boring and it all sounds the same. The only track that stands out in the whole album is "Everything I Don't Need" ... and everything I don't need is the rest of the album.

- Definitely another multi-platinum album!

Wow! This was well worth the wait. I can't think of one song that I like the most. All of the songs are beautiful. He has matured since Idol. And he will always be truly amazing! Thanks Clay!

- On My Way Here

This CD is a great mixture of pop, bluesy R&B and slow songs. Perfect for a date night dinner at home and the drive home from work or a Sunday drive down PCH. My favorites are Everything I don't need and Something about us. There is something about that song...hmmmm

- Pure Listening Pleasure

This great mix of songs can very well comprise Clay Aiken's breakout CD. It is Clay's best work to date. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Included in this diverse collection are beautiful moving ballads, mid tempo foot-tappers and even some R&B. There is something for everyone. A true music lover who enjoys different genres of music will really appreciate this one. The most amazing thing for me is I am enjoying listening to the entire CD, I haven't had the desire to skip a single song. Clay Aiken still has the golden voice that made him a star - better than ever as it is now sprinkled with experience and maturity. In the ballads, his voice is pure and filled with emotion and passion. In the uptempo songs, his voice is strong and soars. I have to admit, it is hard to listen to Clay sing any of these songs without getting chills. This is the CD I've been waiting years for, the best I've heard in over a decade. I am surprised at how much I really love this CD - I plan to buy a few more copies for Mother's Day

- On My Way Here

Quite a surprise. Great layering in the production and a lush pop sound that the market seems to be hungry for---a variety of moods when I expected cloying sameness. Clay Aiken seems to have matured into a real artist. I can't believe this is the same singer from Invisible. Glad I decided to buy this because I really liked it. "As Long As We're Here" is incredible. "Ashes" zips along and gets better with every listen. Because my taste runs to old-school sophisticated pop (think the great Peggy Lee) and jazz, "Lover All Alone" was a favorite---a unique dark, DARK song of longing that takes you into the soul of the singer. Extremely well-executed. Not something I ever expected out of someone that came out of American Idol. I can't believe I gave this five stars but it's just that good.

- Wow...Simply Amazing

This new Cd showcases Clay in a deeper sense that appeals to trials everyone has experienced. His voice, as usual, shines and complements the music. I love this cd, my favorite track is probably "Where I Draw the Line" because of its upbeat tempo and because of the realness and emotional connection the song offers. This cd is worth every penny, buy it.

- Aiken' First CD of original material since his 2003 chart topper Measure of a Man

On My Way Here - Reflection for Clay on what has happened in the past 5 years. Showcases Clay voice very well. The arrangement on this track was very well done! First Single Ashes - Very catchy radio tune. Should definatley be the next single off the album! Perfect for Clay's voice! This is my favorite song off the album! Can't wait to hear this in concert! Angela and Quiana's vocals are perfect in the background for this song! I'm glad Clay let them do background vocals on his CD. The only thing is that when Quiana and Angela do backup for this song live it seems like they try to sing louder than Clay which they shouldn't try to do that. It doesn't sound as good when backups try to do that to the lead performer. Everything I Don't Need - Great Jazzy Blues tunes. This shows a very different style of music for Clay than his previous albums! Written by Clay's Producer Kipper. Clay hit this one out of the ballpark! I also really like the arrangements. The electric gutairs they use sound very good in the arrangement! You can also really hear Angela and Quiana as the background vocals which is very cool! Something About Us - Slow song, Kind of reminds me of Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word from A Thousand Different Ways! When I listen to this song I actully think about William Shakespeare because of the Romeo and Juliet reference. Falling - Fast song, also a another good radio song. I like the effect they put on his voice towards the end of the song. One of my favorites from the album. Where I Draw the Line - Definately a country song with Clay's own country twang on it. I also like the long note Clay holds for about 5-6 Seconds! another one of my favorites! The Real Me - Very good song, You can tell that Clay has alot of emotion in this song. The bridge and end of the song are very powerful. You can see why Clay chose to record this song. This song makes alot of sense when you compare it to what Clay has gone through in his life. Weight of the World - Midtempo song. Shows off Clay vocal range very well! The arrangement is very well done! Angela and Quiana's background vocals add a nice touch to the song! As Long as We're Here - Midtempo song. Clay has said this is his favorite song because it is the song that brought Clay and his executive producer Jaymes Foster together! Again you can hear Angela and Quiana vocals in the background which is nice. Sacrificial Love - This song is kind of depressing (which is what alot of people told me) but I think it is overall a great song that fits Clay's vocals very well. I think this was the song that Clay sang at his friends wedding! Very good ending! Grace of God - Obviously a christan song. I really like that Clay chose to record this song! I think that this song shows Clay's affection for God and I think the arrangement on the song is very good! Lover All Alone - Slow song with alot of high notes! This song was Clay's first time writing a song! The melody is very haunting and powerful. Clay wanted this song to be released more widely that's why he decided to release it on this album. It was first an iTunes exclusive when you purchased A Thousand Different Ways! It Is In Everyone of Us (Bonus Track) - Religous song. Has very powerful lyrics. You can tell why Clay chose to record this song! The background vocals are a very nice addition to the song. The arrangement is also very well done! Very nice ending. Forget I Ever Knew You (Bonus Track) - I'm glad Clay chose to record this song! The background vocals on this song are very subtle which is always nice. Nice rocky tune! The arrangement is also very nice. The long note Clay has in this song is very good! When I Need You Bonus Track) - Nice begining to the song. The arrangement on this song is very nice! I know Clay has been talking for a while about recording this song and he finally got too. I also like how they used Clay voice as background vocals like they did for Invisible! The gutair solo in the middle of the song is a very nice addition. Great Job, Clay Kipper and Jaymes you gave us a wonderful CD. It was worth the 5 year wait!

- WOW

I have been awed by this album. I knew Clay Aiken could sing but this is beyond anything I might have expected him to do. The long wait for another cd of original material has been worth it. This is not an album to play as backround music, it is lyrically beautiful and you need immerse yourself in it and really listen. Clay can and does sing everything....the variety of music and vocal range is amazing, he infuses every song with his own stamp of distinction. The production values are stellar as well....great job Kipper! This is one of the best albums I've heard in a very long time.

- On My Way Here

The song has an uptempo beat. Very melodious. Mr. Aiken's voice is superb.

- Download this one for sure!

This album has a great mix of styles - there is something for everyone here. Clay's voice is beautiful and the songs have great meaning. He pours his heart and soul into everything he does.

- Way to go!

Love the album! Very eclectic collection that is a pleasure to listen to. It's nice to actually get a CD from someone who can really sing.

- An eye-opening, ear-opening CD

Those who think they know the music of Clay Aiken -- and immediately dismiss this CD because of that -- will really be missing out. Clay is an amazingly talented singer, and this CD shows his incredible ability to interpret songs, whether they are ballads or uptempo pop songs or bluesy interpretations. This CD will open your eyes -- and certainly open your ears -- to a man who understands the emotion of the lyrics he is singing, and calls upon an astounding voice to hit every note. Give this CD a chance, and you'll be hooked.

- This Clay Aiken CD is awesome!

This is Clay Aikens best CD ever. It has a variety of songs with amazing lyrics that will touch your soul. Clays voice is perfection and he sings these songs with feelings that will cause you to relate to the experiences that the lyrics portray. There are upbeat tunes that will make you want to dance and mellow love songs that will make you want to sit and think about the one you love. You will love this CD.

- An eclectic mix of songs

Clay Aiken is primarily known as a ballad singer, but this album has a nice mix of styles. There is the R&Bish "Everything I Don't Need, the countryish "Where I Draw The Line", and mid-tempo pop-rock tracks of "Ashes" and "Falling". There are plenty of ballads to showcase Clay Aiken's vocal prowess, but one of the best is the quieter, poignant "Lover All Alone". All the songs are tied together lyrically through the theme of self-discovery. I really love the whole album, something that doesn't happen very often, if ever.

- This Album is AWESOME!!

Wow! Finally the true Clay is revealed. His awesome voice shines through on this super album. I can't stop listening to it.

- how to review

I wanted to write a song by song review, but I se there is not enough space. I am a new Itunes user, so here is the first one! I enjoyed this album, the songs are not always on happy subjects, yet invariable soar wth resolution of the challenges by the end of the song. There are so many ways to interpret each of the songs that you are bound to find a few that appy to your own life. There is a variety of music here from pop to rock to jazz to pure easy. And, if you buy the album there is even a gospel bonus! So far, I have listened a lot and, with summer driving, this will be in the car with my favorite albums for years past.

- Absolutely beautiful!

RCA finally gave Clay material to allow his voice to soar and shine. The variety of the different styles shows how versatile and talented he really is. I find myself tapping my foot, bobbing my head to just about all of them. Everything I Don't Need is my favorite - I love the rock and roll/funk sound to it. Something About Us reminds me of an old-time romance movie song. If you love beautiful music and a beautiful voice, you really should download this album. You'll be pleasantly surprised. Update: Someone else said in a review that each time they listened to the cd, they have a new favorite. I just keep on adding to my favorite list. I pitifully neglected to have On My Way Here in my earlier discussion. Falling, Where I Draw the Line, As Long As We're Here - heck pretty much the whole darn album! I just love how it flows together. Seriously, try it out.

- WOW

This cd is amazing. it has everything you could want in a cd slow songs, upbeat songs, songs that could easily be on the radio....overall great At wal-mart you get a bonus song.... Clay has made great cds, I don't care what people may say about him or American Idol, he has a great voice and can sing!

- Must Have

I love his voice. He is back with this album. The 2nd album was ok - this one is great, the best of the bunch. This man sings with heart and it shows in every song.

- Incredible!

Best CD I've listened to in all long time. Every song is great. Download: On My Way Here, Ashes, Everything I Don't Need, Fallen, Where I Draw the Line, The Real Me, and Lover All Alone.

- One My Way Here

I got to say that i have wacth the idols come in and fade fast and having being a big fan the show only a few in my book really have stood out as truly lasting artist with that star quality kelly and carrie being two but clay who was just a runner up really has touch a place in my heart that i never knew exsisted sure he was no ruben but what he is truly one very gifted singer with heart and soul and i knew that from day one. And this album which i came up upon sheer accident by hearing the lead track brought emotions out of me and just touched all my heart strings what a most beautiful song kuddos tho the lead singer of one republic and the rest of the cd just sheer amazing

- On My Way Here

This CD is a must have for the person who simply loves music. Amazing vocals from Mr. Aiken and some of the best written songs I've listened to in a very long time. Songs with heart!!! The musical arrangements are very diverse from a bit of the blues, to some jazz, a/c, pop, and some good old fashioned rock thrown in also. Everthing I Don't Need sticks with me and I find myself listening to it over and over as well as the title track On My Way Here and Grace of God. Again this CD is a must have!!!

- On My Way Here

Clay's BEST CD yet!!

- Take Time to Listen

My rating comes after a dozen or so listens. Those songs that make my favorite list are in order.. Something About Us, Lover all Alone, The Real Me, As Long as We're Here. The lyrics are worth listening to more than once and Clay's voice is an added enhancement. First time listen didn't do it for me, personally but after a few more go-rounds.. I am finally getting the signifigance of the compilation. Takes alot of living to be loving.

- Sensational and Fabulous

This CD is so amazing. The songs are very entertaining, and the singing is perfect and emotional and exciting to hear. This CD is the best and the greatest CD I have heard in 5 years. Please buy it. You will definitely not be disappointed at all.

- On My Way Here!!

Awesome. I'm so impressed with this CD. Much much better than I ever expected.

- The male Celine...

These songs themselves aren't horrible, but the tracks are seriously over-produced in the studio, like many of Celine's albums. It's a disappointment.

- This Album has it All!!

This album is OUTSTANDING in every way. Clay managed to include several different genres in one CD and as a result has something for everyone---from the upbeat pop to Jazz and ballads. A must have for any music library. His voice is uncomparable!!! His best compilation yet! You won't be disappointed. Kipper without a doubt has showcased Clay's diverse vocal abilities. A multitalented artist.

- Great Album

This is a great album. There is something for everyone here. Clay's vocals have matured and are fuller. This album was worth the wait. I am very impressed!

- Worth the Wait

This is the first CD I've ever owned for which I've liked every song. I can close my eyes and transport myself to moments in time that have special meaning for me. I like the eclectic choices. This one was worth the wait!

- Is That Clay Aiken?????

Wow! You have to hear this CD. It is a departure from Clay's standard ballads. Listen to the whole CD, you won't believe it, there is rock, pop, blues and a love song for the ages. You too will be scratching your head, smiling and thinking, Is this Clay Aiken? Love it.

- WONDERFUL ALBUM!!!!

This new album Clay has done is absolutley amazing! Every song showcases his gorgeous voice. Each song has something to offer to everyone. There is sucha great mix on this CD. Some beautiful, haunting ballads. Some rockin uptempo songs. A little bit of some jazzy R&B. Clay can sing love songs, uptempo, country, anything. His voice is so pure and rich on this CD. I love that his voice is up front and center. And, with each song, you can hear what talent this many has. I have waited for this CD for a long time from Clay, and it was well worth the wait. I did love Clay's other two albums. I never had a problem with the covers album, expecially since there were four original songs on there. Five when you count Lover All Alone. And, Measure of A Man has been my favortie CD for years. But.. now On My Way Here is my most favorite album. I truly cannot pick a favorite song. But, at this moment, the ones I like the most are Ashes, Where I Draw The Line, Everything I Don't Need, Weight OF The World, As Long As We're Here, Sacrificial Love, and The Real Me. All the songs though are worth it, and I would never pass over any of the selections. And, then you come to the end of the album, for the gift that is Lover All Alone. I have never heard a more beautiful song then this. The lyrics just grab you. And Clay's voice.... breathtaking. I urge you all to pick up this album. The whole thing. You will not be disappoointed.

- AMAZING

Clay Aiken is my hero. He makes it easy to realize things in life I love him

- This album is a winner!

Clay's newest album was well worth the wait! The lyrics are thought-provoking, and Clay's vocals bring a richness and beauty to each track. This album is a real winner!

- WOW...Blown away yet again!

After being a Clay Aiken fan for 5 years....He stills keeps everything so fresh and new! This album is one that will inspire and motivate. It is an easy listen with a wonderful message and many catchy songs that you will be unable to get out of your head. I HIGHLY recommend this! You will not be sorry!

- On My Way Here

I love this album Its such a treat to hear uptempo songs teamed with a beautiful voice-what a rare treat. I would suggest everyone give this album a go,fan or not,its such an eclectic mix of music. Young or old you will enjoy, not only the music, but the lyrics on every song are special.

- On My Way Here

Clay Aiken has "done himself proud" on this album. He has a fantastic voice and it appears he is learning to use it in more subtle and sophisticated ways as he matures as a performer. The songs are eclectic, in styles from jazz, pop, rock, ballad and even a taste of Contemporary Christian. "Everything I Don't Need" makes you move whether you want to or not, and "Something About Us" turns the listener into a romantic. "Ashes", "Falling", "Where I Draw the Line" are pop/rock at it's best. And "Lover All Alone"? Makes one pray Mr. Aiken finds that someone special soon. The lyrics he has written are hauntingly beautiful. There isn't one song on here I would skip, but if I absolutely had to, it would be "On My Way Here". Sweet, but forgettable if it weren't for Aiken's vocals.

- Clay is in the Building!

It's hard to choose a fovorite song on this album. It is Clay's best collection of songs to date. His voice has matured and his confidence comes through.Every note is perfection. Some of the songs bring tears to your eyes, and some bring a smile to your lips. He makes listening a pleasure!

- On My Way Here

Amazing CD, you can understand every word the very first time through. Superior voice, wonderful music surrounding it. This is for any that that just wants to listen to good music.

- ON MY WAY HERE

The purest of vocals, totally right where they need to be...vulnerable or strong. Really listen to the lyrics. They speak volumes about life, anyone can relate to more than one song. A great mix of slow and easy or really rockinโ€™ tunes, but no rap or hard rock here...thank God. If you like music that speaks to you, this is it. Highly recommended.

- Way better than his other songs

Clay Aiken (born Clayton Holmes Grissom on November 30, 1978) is an American pop singer who began his rise to fame on the second season of the television program American Idol in 2003. Based on album sales surpassed only by Idol winners Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood, Aiken has become the most successful male and the most successful runner-up in that show's history.[1][2] In the four years following his American Idol appearance Aiken has launched eight tours, authored a New York Times best-selling book Learning to Sing: Hearing the Music in Your Life with Allison Glock, and was the executive producer for a 2004 televised Christmas special, A Clay Aiken Christmas. He has been a frequent talk show guest, particularly on The Tonight Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live, appeared as a guest star on Scrubs, participated in comedy skits on Kimmel and Saturday Night Live, and made his Broadway debut playing the role of Sir Robin in Monty Python's Spamalot in January 2008.[3] Aiken created the Bubel/Aiken Foundation in 2003, accepted a UNICEF ambassadorship in 2004,[4] and in 2006 was appointed for a two year term by President George W. Bush to a committee that acts in an advisory capacity to the President and the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services on matters relating to programs and services for persons with intellectual disabilities.[5] Aiken released a new studio album (the first album of original material since 2003's Measure of A Man), titled On My Way Here on May 6th, 2008.[6] This is his 4th full length studio album, including a Christmas CD, and a CD of covers. He has also released one EP. And i am going to give this a ***** stars

- Rachael Ray's Orange Guy

What a great project. I am especially impressed with track 7 "The Real Me." I've heard it on one of Natalie Grant's projects but I love Clay's version. He sings with such conviction. I am thankful Clay is being true to himself and not being put into a mold that the secular music industry would probably like to put him in. I look forward to every new release from Clay. He still remains my favorite American Idol contender of all time. I think not winning the title was probably the best thing that ever happened to him. Buy this project, you will not be disappointed!

- On My Way Here Rocks

Clay shines on this album. The vocals excel and Clay includes something for everyone. Some of the standouts include the songs Everything I Don't Need, Something About Us, Falling, Where I Draw The Line and The Real Me. I am so thrilled with this album and like it more everytime I hear it. I love that he included a little Jazz and Rock in there as well. Clay delivers on this album. Buy it, you won't be sorry.

- On My Way Here

This CD has a nice variety of songs. For people in love, "Something About Us" is a must. Some of my favorites are Where I Draw The Line, Ashes, Everything I Don't Need, Falling. Wow, I love the whole album.

- I can't stop listening

Not very often do I find a CD that I don't skip songs. This CD is so awesome. The lyrics are catchy, life changing, just awesome. You add Clay's wonderful voice to that and you have a hit CD. I can't even pick a favorite because they are all so great. The lyrics to Lover All Alone, that Clay wrote himself, are haunting. He is a writer. This is just a wonderful, beautiful CD performed by a wonderful, beautiful man.

- Great Songs for a Spectacular Voice

Clay's latest CD "On My Way Here" is a terrific compilation of songs that allow him to display his amazing voice in all its glory. Of course there are gorgeous ballads: "Something About Us," "The Real Me," "Sacrificial Love," and the heartbreakingly beautiful "Lover All Alone," a David Foster melody for which Clay wrote the lyrics. But in addition, this album includes rock tunes ("Ashes," "Falling," and "Weight of the World"), adult-contemporary anthems ("On My Way Here," "Where I Draw the Line," and "As Long as We're Here"), and a tasty blues treat ("Everything I Don't Need"). Every song on this CD is enjoyable! Clay's ardent fans will adore this album, and if you haven't heard Clay in a while, give this CD a listen---you'll be so glad you did!

- Everything I Don't Need ... "ROCKS"

This is the best song on the Album. I wish Clay would do more that sound like this song. It has a great beat and showcases Clay's range and vocals. More, more, more Clay!

- Clay is definately back!

After "A Thousand Different Ways," a CD which should have been released later in his career, "On My Way Here" is a CD that should please any music lover. Clay breaks free from the "American Idol" mold with these at last 12 original songs. Most notible tracks are "Ashes," "Everything I Don't Need," and "Falling" which show he can thrive on upbeat and gritier songs which were not previously the first thing thought of when Clay's name has come up. For those that liked the music style from "Measure Of A Man," that style is continued on some tracks with smoothly sung songs like "Something About Us" and "Grace of God." There is even a track penned by Aiken ("Lover All Alone") which is not bad for someone just associated with singing covers. This is a satisfying CD and is one that can even please those that don't normally listen to Clay's music. He's come a long way from the show that made him famous.
