Lil Mama is just getting into her element with this release. She's got two of the most talented rappers out there starring in some of her songs - Chris Brown and T-Pain. She's actually pretty good, and instead of topping the charts not once, with Lip Gloss, but THREE times, with G-Slide (Tour Bus) and Shawty Get Loose, AND Lip Gloss. Her knack for words is prevalent in every song. I'm looking forward to any and everything that this young Brooklyn emcee gives us.

I'm not a huge fan of Hip Hop and Rap but this isn't that bad. Some of my favorite songs from this album are Shawty get loose, and What it is (strike a pose) .

I am a huge fan of Lil Mama. I have always been. This album is not good. Im shocked, it doesnt sound like her normal style. Girlfriend was pretty cool, but besides the oldies(lipgloss, g-slide), I had no interest.

this is actually a pretty good album. What a lot of people don't get is how good a rapper she is. Third song on the track: One Hit Wonder and she lays down the rap nice and solid. I like this album a lot. Good music. And no comparisons to soulja boy, cus I don't hear him rappin' this good.

I really love this cd. When it first came out, I previewed it and I didn't like it. I just thought the songs sounded lame and weren't as fun as Lip Gloss. I'm so glad I took a chance on it and bought it today. It is such a good cd. It shows her depth and how much of an amazing rapper she truly is. Name another awesome teenage female MC. Yeah, you can't. She is in a class of her own and she is truly owning it. Track Review: 1) Intro - Not much to say about it. 2) Lip Gloss - The song we all know her from. Still as awesome and fun now as it was last year. I love it. The cd version of the song also included the "No Music" section in the middle where she freestyles. It's so awesome. I love this song. 10/10 3) One Hit Wonder - This song is fun and has a cool beat. DJ Khaled helped make this one and it's fast paced. 10/10 4) Get Loose Request - Another intro thing. This one is cute though. I think it's her siblings asking for someone to play Shawty Get Loose. It's funny to hear a little kid say get crunk. haha 5) Shawty Get Loose - This song is so fun. I love it. Features Chris Brown and T-Pain (two artists at their prime right now.) This song is addicting. 10/10 6) What It Is (Strike a Pose) - A great song to follow Shawty Get Loose. It keeps the pace and the awesome. haha. Another song where she says how hot she is and stuff. But that's ok because she is! 10/10 7) G-Slide Tour Bus - One of my favorite dance songs ever. I love it. It is so fun and makes me want to dance every time I hear it. Get it now! 10/10 8) Gotta Go Deeper - Another skit. 9) Stand Up - I really didn't expect a song like this from her. It has a very weird sound and appeal to it. I like it though. It shows her diversity. 10/10 10) L.I.F.E. - This song is amazing. She really opens up and tells us a story with this song and it is really good. She talks about being raised by a foster mother who only did it for the money and teen pregnancy. I know, deep. I love the chorus. Very empowering song. 10/10 11) College - Another suprise here. It is a very mature sounding r'n'b song. Sounds like something Kanye West makes. I love it. The chorus is sung by Yirayah. I don't know how that is but he sounds awesome. Love this. 10/10 12) Emotional Rollercoasters Skit - Another skit. She talks about how teenage girls go through emotional rollercoasters and how they have to stay on the ride. 13) Broken Pieces - This song sounds so cool. Features guitar and she talks about her broken heart. I love it. So cool. Another song that really shows her skill and diversity. 10/10 14) Swim - This song is so addicting. At times this song sounds like something Danity Kane would make. I love this song. Unique and shows her lyrical skill. 10/10 15) Truly In Love - This is a reggae-caribbean sounding song. Yet another suprise from her. It sounds so good and really unique. Features Peter Toh, I don't know who he is but he does good. 10/10 16) Look At My Life Skit - Last Skit on cd. 17) Make It Hot - Love this song. After I heard it the first time the beat was stuck in my head. Put it on when you are feeling hot. haha. 10/10 18) Pick It Up - Another fun song about how awesome she is. I believe it. 10/10 Overall - I know i gave every song a 10 but that is because I love the whole cd. At times it is fun, powerful, suprising and the whole time it is awesome. Just try it. I love it. :) PS - If you never heard the whole cd or don't like it, then why do you waste your time writing bad reviews about things. That shows how lame you are. Get a life. This cd is for the young people - see the title of the cd. Get a clue.

This is the reason that people say hip hop is dead. I'm so sick of the these nonrapping rappers that come out and they are saying a whole lot of nouthing on their cd. I will say that she has a lot of hot beats. But as far as rapping skils she has non. She need to go to collage because she will not be around to long. Wow! she is actually really good. I'm glad i actually took the time to listen to her. I'm not really much of a rap person, but i actually really like her. Not only that, but she is actually a great role model. ALot of kids in my neighborhood look up to her. Her music is so upbeat and happy, you can use it as an ecscape from the outside world and it would really put you in a good mood. She is an amazing artists!!!!

Ok, I review cds rarely, but when i do, it obviously means something...First off, I've yet to even purchase the full album from Lil' Mama, yet, i can already tell you, that from the previews of each track, this girl is going to be on top of the rap game in no time. Young? So what. Versatile in styles? SO WHAT! That's what makes an excellent artist you idiots! Changing sounds and keeping people's attention is key to being successful in this industry. So what if the girl has got some radio friendly tracks. She's the one racking in the benefits, and still being able to persue what she loves to do, AND still record tracks that come from her heart. Her flow is sick, and her beats are dope. In closing, Lil' Mama is nothing short of something amazing, and to all the haters who review because they have no lives, and hate on music they don't even understand: go buy a Disney album. Thank you.

Lil Mama's first album is good. L.I.F.E is one of those songs that people can relate to becauses they have been through it. She creates lyrics that come to life and gives you a vivid picture. She grew up on the streets of Harlem, and that (from what I can tell) gives her inspiration. She tries hard and is still trying to get the feel of the music industry, so give her a chance. KEEP UP THE HARD WORK LIL MAMA!!!

Ok everyone is making a big fuss about lil mama. How she sold out and is a sell out. If you really listent to this album there are some amazing dance beats. It tells a story. So really take it for what it is and dont try to make it something its not. It was never expected to be the blow up album of the century. But this amazing girl made this album turn into pure magic. If you wanna dance and listen to music with good beats. Then i suggest that you get this album. Because contrary to what other people are sayin it is pretty good!

I've never seen what anyone's problem with Lil' Mama is. She can seriously rap. All these songs are great and anyone who says otherwise can't freestyle to save their lives. I mean this girl is going somewhere rap has never gone before, towards an almost entirely freestyle CD. Everyone should be jumping onto this bandwagon not turning their heads cuz of the few little mistakes like "Lip Gloss". If you took the time (and I can't walk you through them because theirs over 15) to listen to these songs you would probably find a very similar beat in all of them, granted, but you'll also find one of the most original artists in their feild in a long time, who's not going the same old snap/crank route. This is great, and Lil' Mama can rap, so...don't be hatin' (yeah I said it).

I don't remember if the review I read was for the Lip Gloss single, a Lil Mama video, or this album, but there was one review that said 'This is not rap! Why put her in the rap genre where Dre and Snoop Dogg are' or whatever rappers he or she said. Not all rap music needs to talk about pot, pimping, killing, and other CRAP like that! She raps but about stuff better than pot! What's the matter, she is not a rap star if she doesn't talk about killing people?? In that case, it's true what they say: Rap IS crap!

This is the debut album of pop rapper Lil Mama. I just hope that the young people don't let her be there voice. She makes it sound like that she wants kids to forget school and care about lip gloss, fame, fourtune, and looks. Most songs on this album are mediorcre and ammature at best. I have a feeling that Lil Mama will prove everyone wrong and make sure she is on top of her game. Some of the songs on the album may have no point whatsoever, but the songs still have great beats.

This is really good! After Lil Mama's "Lip Gloss" fyasco i thought she would never recover! But she proved me WAY wrong! i love this! Lil Mama can really spit hard! 5 STARS!

Hurts SO GOOD!!!

Lil' Mama by far is the worst artist out right now. She doesn't have any talent nor does she have a voice. She SPEAKS in all her songs- which is ok for some- but not for her. Especially when u talk abotu LIP GLOSS. In my opinion, Lil' Mama doesn't deserve a record label or a job that involves her speaking.

Lil Mama is probably one of the most notable female rappers to grace us with her presence in the new millennium, but she can do better than this. The Album does have its highpoints but there are just as many lows. I like how Lil Mama mixed it up in style with songs like "L.I.F.E" and "Truly in Love", but all of the intros took me out of the experience and the rhymes were often unoriginal. Like I said, she coulda done a whole lot better.
