I usually listen to Heavy music, but after seeing Gungor play live at BigStuf Camp, I immediatly purchased this album! They are incredibly Original and Unique. They definatly have a style of playing totally unique to them. I enjoy every song on this album to the fullest. I can only hope there is more to hear from Gungor.

The creativity that these guys put into their music is awesome! Every song is unique, but every song is also awesome! The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars, is that some of the songs didn't have clear meaning in them. but that's about it!

I saw them live @ Catalyst West. It took three songs for me to fall in love with this band. This entire album is fantastic and much different than your typical "worship" band/album. They're my new favorite band. Bravo, Gungor!

Gungor has some really great worship music. I kinda talked my dad into buying the album at a Christian bookstore. Our favorite song is "Beautiful Things". My dad even talked our worship leader into singing it in church! I really love Gungor's worship music and I hope that we will be able to sing more of their songs in church. This is a great CD! It is a collection of some very different sounding songs with each one being great in it's own way. I just saw Gungor live for the first time last weekend and it was absolutely the best live show that I have seen. This is a group of very talented musicians. If you ever have the chance to see them live don't let it slip by, you will not be disappointed.

This is seriously the best $10 I've ever spent and I've only listened to a few songs. If anything it's worth it just for the first 2 songs... I'm so speechless right now! This is my new favorite band and I didn't even know who they were 6 hours ago!

Mind-blowing album! That's all there is to it. The simple sounds of the banjo and the xylophone are so darn epic, it just works like nothing I've heard before. Easily my favorite artist and album of 2010 and still going on strong in 2011. If you're a fan of worship music that rocks more than normal, go with Gungor!!

Was floored by Gungor at Catalyst West conference, bought this immediately. Musicianship above what worldly bands are doing... The music is inventive, creative, and above all, musical. The lyrics are thoughtful and thought-provoking, truly the words of a deeply spiritual and Jesus-loving person. My new favorite band. THIS is what the people of God should be: originals, not copycats; trendsetters, not followers. BTW, check out Michael Gungor's blog... he gets the issues rather than getting bogged down with catchphrases and theology.

Just heard these guys live at Catalyst Dallas. My first thought was that they are too good to be a Christian band. Creative, diverse sounds, with deeply compelling lyrics. They give voice to what many souls want to express. Their music is true.

I have crazy christian family members who listen to Christian music religiously but... I always thought it was crappy and never gave into it. But here I am purchasing this song after a friend of mine posted up the song "Dry Bones" on his facebook. I listened to it and was amazed at this band I had never heard of, then the song got to 1:45 and started mentioning Jesus... I thought, "could it be? a christian band?" I listened to the entire song and I was blown away! Here's a band who plays songs about Jesus, but they aren't tacky or lame. I bought the entire album and am stoked that the style of indie music has finally caught on and has been incorporated with a positive message. I'm burning a copy and giving it to my girlfriend later today; great way to kick off the weekend. This band is superb.

This is a great album, glad I heard of these guys and bought it. Like other reviewers, I got tired of the cliche live worship albums that feature the same artists on and on.

This album/these songs were soooo needed at this time in my life. I'm so thankful for your ministry for I've truly been so ministered to. If you're tired of hearing every Christian artist trying to sound like every other Christian artist, listen to Gungor. They are extremely talented musicians who write beautiful music with thought-provoking and inspiring lyrics. Most importantly, they're music is ORIGINAL and breaks the mold that most Christian artists cannot find their way out of.

These guys actually "get" the gospel. Such a great record. My favorite song is "Cannot Keep You".

I had never heard of this band, but the moment I listened to this album, I was instantly a fan. Not only is the music spiritually uplifting, it is creative and extremely pleasant to listen to. The band uses a variety of styles and instruments to create music that will make even the toughest critic sing along. It has something for everyone! After this album, I went back and purchased "Ancient Skies" by the same band, although they were called "The Michael Gungor Band" at the time. It is equally as phenomenal. Trust me, you can't go wrong with this one.

Best Album I've ever heard

These guys just played at my church (cottonwood church) during connect conference 2011. Put on quite a concert and performed during offerings. They featured a new musician (Kevin) who played the cello and it was just Kevin Michael and Lisa(more acoustic I suppose) and every song was absolutely beautiful especially dry bones. However I listened to the recording on this album and didn't notice it. other then that these guys have become my new favorite worship group. Amazing stuff

These are good quality worship songs! They are nice to listen to and great for any youth worship band!!

There are many great worship leaders such as Chris Tomlin writing music that is made for the Church that is singable as well as intimate and theological. But thanks to the "ever so wonderful" Christian music industry, deeper musicianship isn't encouraged or marketed. Finally, Gungor brings advanced musicianship to the table. The Bible says "Play skillfully" and boy how they do!! Deep theology supported with tremendous chord structure and musical expression. Amazing album!!!

Okay, when a friend recommended that I check these guys out, my expectations were not so high. I mean, lets face it, the vast majority of Christian music sounds the same; this was a pleasant exception. Gungor has an amazing sound that defies the norm! Their intricate melodies, rhythmic variation, and complex harmonies make for a very enjoyable listening experience! great!!!
