I don't write too may reviews but this album is worth the applause! BRAVO!!

This guy has one of the biggest voices around. This album sounds like he took a time machine here from the 50's but he has been here for a couple years and wants to make the music current. All I can say is it works. The album has just enough of that nostalgic sound to keep you listening throughout. It is hard to believe this is the same guy that was turning out hardcore rap songs with Outkast as a member of The Goodie Mob.

Great songs, beautiful voice and killer production but... some songs are VERY DISTORTED (and I don't mean the good kind). The worst offender is "Bodies", which seems to be accidentally piped through the cheapest boombox you could find (and again, not in a cool/retro way) ... Am I the only one to find this unacceptable?? I WANT MY MONEY BACK!
