There won’t ever be an album by 1D that’ll ever be as good as this one. The sound of modern with a bit of 80s rock suited their style at the time very well. I don’t understand how they went from such a masterpiece like this to boring FOUR but...I hope when they come back their 6th album will have rockier vibes to it with more mature lyrics of course. 1D is better off with pop rock and nothing else. Period.

This album has just got two of it's songs out officially(although the entire fandom already listened to the rest thanks to our computer geniuses *wink wink*) and one direction has evloved from the cute buble gum pop boyband that everyone adored to this grungy, earthy boyband that's amazing and mature with heart touching lyrics in soul soothing tunes.Their voices have grown to become better controlled and more tuned and I absolutely love this album and anyone who likes pop rock songs wil definitely agree.

Even though I am a fan, and only recently become one, at first I wasn't so sure about the songs on this album. But after listening to the album Midnight Memories (deluxe) through fully a couple of times, I loved it, and the play count on these songs are in their hundreds, for me. My favourites are Strong, Better Than Words, Alive and Half A Heart. In this album, I feel like the boys have matured more than the last one and are showing off their range and "rocky" side. Louis and Niall also have a lot more solos than in Take Me Home. I definitely recommend this album to anybody of all ages that like pop, 70s and 80s pop, and rock, and to everybody that has an open mind. I hope this helps :)

Wow! These guys have voices like liquid gold. Strange analogy but that's the first thing that comes to mind. Would love an acoustic album. Oh geez what really can I say other than this album is a-freaking-mazing. The lads have outdone them selves in this album. They have showed true emotion and their song writing skills have improved. You can hear by just listening the boys were incredibly involved in making this album. Their steering away from what people expect of them, to what they actually enjoy listening to. This is real music. The boys just keep getting better and better.

This album is great and the songs are very catchy and well written. Although, many songs have been accused of copyright as they replicate other songs. Like 'Does he know' sounds like Jessies girl amd midnight memories sounds like Pour some sugar on me. Meh. I love it Buy now!!!

This would be a improvement of their old albums if it not for the fact that instead of coming up with original music, they have essentially plagiarized some of the greatest rock bands of the last century including Def Leppard, The Who and even Van Halen. The lyrics have no real meaning to them and as songs go, and as stated before, many of the riffs and licks are from hits from other more instrumentally talented. I am only reviewing the music and will make no comment on the members themselves, but this album had not much thought put into it and was only released as a marketing technique to get more money. Catchy songs, unfortunately not very original.

This is kinda disappointing not to mention frustrating that they ripped off classic rock songs that most of you little girls wouldn't even know about. I loved take me home so much and I expected a lot from this album, but the only song I liked was little white lies. And I absolutely hate does he know. They ripped off Jesse's Girl! How can you all just not see how big of a deal that is. They don't even reference what songs they ripped off, which makes me think they were unaware. This album was over all disappointing and effortless. And the only reason I'm not giving it 1 star is because I know they can do better.

Bit late for a review, but this is just so bad, for one they can't sing therefore they resort in autotune which doesn't really help either. They use their fame for money, they say "aww we love our fans" nah, that's a lie. They've come to far in 4 years, they've released a lot of albums in that time, and I bet none of them wrote one song, give it 2 more years and they'll have enough money and go hide somewhere. All they want is money and attention, as you can gather I hate one direction, pretty weird coming from a girl, but I despise them, they're selfish, and they just don't care!

This is absolutely AMAZING. I enjoyed every single song on here whether it is One Direction singing it or not. It was totally worth the money and not a single part of me regrets buying this because it is simply amazing.

They are trying to be something their not, sounds like the midnigt memories opening riff is trying to be a rock song and it isn't working at all. I don't even like them but heard the song and just had to say that.

Loving the rock/folk influence the boys have got int his album. It's still pop but definetly more mature. They've always had a slight rock influence but it's different this time and I really like it. I love Best Song Ever, Story Of My Life, Midnight Memories, Happily, Half A Heart, Alive, Something Great and Don't Forget Where You Belong. They're all good songs though. And I hate how a lot of people forget that these boys really can sing (I personally adore Harry's voice with that gorgeous rock-y edge. Sounds amazing in Story of My Life, especially live).

I am not an directioner; I love My Chemical Romance. But my little sister (she's 9, I'm 12) got this album for Christmas and I must say I am quite suprised. It is definitely a lot more 'mature' than their last albums, and not all the songs are a about girls and partying. On a bad note, the songs all sound the same, you would get quite bored listening to this. I would say this is only for one direction fans, as it just plain pop music with the added bonus of cute boys. But, this is just my opinion and you can like whatever music you want. Be proud because you like my chemical romance or black veil brides or one d or ellie goulding or whoever you like! Music is a part of you x
