I love the song human. Its really one of the only songs by Christina Perri that I've heard. Its one of my favorite songs. So I was going to put it on after I downloaded it onto the music app and it just deleted. I'm really mad about that and I can't get it back for 90 days or something like that. I deleted that song by mistake, its my favorite song, I can't get it back for about 3 months. I'm really mad about that. Christina Perri is an amazing singer. Buy her songs.

I listen to "I Believe" during every warm up before my run. Great album. There are a lot of profound lyrics and messages in song, as well as easy listening tunes to go with it. My favorites are; Burning Gold, Sea of Lovers, The Words, I Believe, Be My Forever. It's an album I can listen to all the time. I can't say that about a lot of albums I have on my iPod.

There's just something about Miss Perri and her ability to capture the human experience through her songwriting. She clearly poured her head and heart into her second album and the result is a solid collection of beautiful songs, some more poignant than others. The standout for me is "Sea of Lovers" - I'm hoping it's released as a single. That would be a very smart move by Miss Perri & her team. Thank you for sharing your gift with us, Christina.

I really enjoy Perri's style and tone in this album. It's rare you can listen to a full album and love every minute of it. It has great writing and I think this makes an excellent case as one of the best complete albums out today.

There is possibly one song that isn't to my liking, but that is just my taste of music. Great overall.

Trust - A beautifully arranged and produced ballad definitely setting the tone for the album as a whole. 9/10 Burning Gold - A catchy, absolutely single-ready song that presents a definite new side of Christina and will probably gain her quite a few new fans. Some of the lyrics don't make complete sense, but it's done very well. 9/10 Be My Forever (feat. Ed Sheeran) - Another very single-ready and adorable song with cute, playful background clapping. In a Youtube performance, she states that it's "the happiest song [she's] ever written". Ed Sheeran also contributes beautifully to the song, at some points providing backup vocals of sorts and at some points singing on his own. I'm pretty sure I'm obsessed. 10/10 Human - In all honesty, this single didn't get me all that excited for the album. It's rather depressing (although self-aware.) I really didn't want another album full of dysfunctional relationship songs. The lyrics and vocal techniques don't really make up for the subject matter, either. 8/10 One Night - It's a beautiful piano-based ballad with amazing vocal techniques and is, in my opinion, absolutely incredible. The lyrics are done well too "Like the ocean in a perfect storm/It makes me want you even more". 10/10 I Don't Wanna Break - This song was the one that really got me excited for the album and the first one that I downloaded off of it. It's very well arranged and the way that the instrumentals partially drop out at some points to emphasize her voice works very well too. 10/10 Sea of Lovers - A soaring ballad that definitely shows off Christina Perri's lyrical gifts. The instrumentals in the background complement her voice, as well. 9/10 The Words - I'm not the hugest fan of this song - I'm not exactly sure where it is, but somewhere it falls flat. Perhaps it's that the lyrics aren't quite as beautiful as some on the other tracks. 8/10 Lonely Child - Everyone who worked on this song did a really, really good job. The production is done very well and the lyrics are beautiful, especially the pre-chorus. It's one of my favorites on the album 10/10 Run - This song is entirely written by Christina Perri, and it's done very well. The lyrics are beautiful, albeit sad. The instrumentals pick up at the important lyrics, and the production is done well. 9/10 Butterfly - This one falls a little flat for me as well. Technically, I can't really complain much, but it seems like another track would be better suited for the album than this one. 8/10 Shot Me in the Heart - This song could potentially be a single. It's one of the least ballad-y ballads, and it's a breakup song without going overboard on anger. It's more of a goodbye song, actually. 10/10 I Believe - One of the best ballads on the album and a great choice for the closing track. It's packed full of contradictions but works, and I think pretty much everyone who paid a good, close listen to the lyrics could relate and be inspired. The voice layering at the end works very well, too. 10/10 Album Rating: 9/10

I love Christina's songs, and many I've related to so personally that it brought tears to my eyes. While I find her very talented in every aspect, I feel like this album so much like her album "Lovestrong" that I question the point of buying it. The core of the songs are as amazing as ever, but as far as instrumental and melodies, there's nothing new.

Christina Perri's Lovestrong album was incredible, and I have been waiting for her next album to come out. I believe Christina is one of the best singers out there right now. Her voice is pure and clear, her lyrics are relatable and heartfelt, and she captures a very unique sound. My favorite songs on Head and Heart are Human, the Words, Trust, and One Night. Nonetheless, all of the songs are beautiful. She's definitely an inspiration.

I really like Christina Perri but only half the songs sound like effort was put into them. Example compare "I Believe", "Human" to "Trust". The vocals are horribly arranged in "Trust". I'm still a fan though and will continue to check out her music.
