i have always loved beyoncé since i first heard of her and listened 2 her. suddenly, i feel like she has completely changed. from all those songs that i loved like single ladies, halo, sweet dreams, and many others. i also like the music for the song drunk in love, but the lyrics are just repulsive. now these songs talk about nothing but sex and all that other crap i shouldn't b hearing at this time. i think the album should b rated 4 people 17+

One of her best albums

Aside from Dangerously In Love, I usually buy her albums and like 3 songs, and then move them to the side. This one was different, and I like them all except for No Angel. I think this is her best album to date.

Ok so I am not a neo-Beyoncé fan. I haven't bought an album from her since B-day. However, when I saw her performance on the Grammies via Slate on my Facebook newsfeed I was awestruck. I heeded the reviews not to buy the whole album and verified the reviews weren't all from hating Beyoncé trolls. However, this song (sexually explicit as it is) brings to the forefront that we are human beings and the majority of us aren't monks with chastity belts. We are all uninhibited sexual creatures whether or not we choose to be public about it and if you say you aren't you're not human. Sex is not a taboo subject anymore so why all the shock? Even six year-olds can give you a full sex education—it's sad but true. Finally, I'm not buying this "Queen B" nonsense because she isn't my Queen and I'm never bowing down which is why I bought this song and this song only. Anyways, this song is worth buying and will only set you back $1.29.

I don’t understand all of the low ratings on this album at all. Especially how if you sort the customer reviews to Most Helpful, it’s almost ALL negative. Yes. There is inappropriate content in the album. If you’re that offended, get the clean version. It’s music. She doesn’t have to conform to whatever the listeners want. This album is an emotional ride into her own mind. It’s by far one of her most compelling and mature albums. It really shows how far she’s gone as an artist, from Destiny’s Child to BEYONCÉ. My respect for her has gone through the roof now. And I’m not even a die hard Beyoncé fan or a Queen Bey worshipper. I don’t even really listen to Hip Hop or R&B or Rap. I like Indie and Alternative music and Classic Rock, and this album STILL pulled me in. The videos are so amazing and if you watch them all in order in a row, it’s so brilliant and well-done. The videos seamlessly play and it’s actually like watching a movie that says exactly what Beyoncé is trying to say. Clearly everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I am shocked at some of the low ratings. It’s fine if you don’t love the music, and if you want to give it a low rating, that’s your opinion, but some of the comments on the low ratings shocked me. It’s art. It’s music. Maybe I’ve been living in the wrong universe, but I thought art was supposed to break barriers and go outside of the box. And if this is “too much” or “too inappropriate” or “Beyoncé’s weakest”, then you’re not looking at art the right way. Keep up the amazing work Beyoncé. I know some may disagree, but I certainly hope to see more albums from you like this.

I love this album because it is just her no gimmicks but just an amazing piece of work for those who can appreciate how complex it is!!!!

There seems to be a lot of harsh comments below. She's a wife, a mother, & her own individual person and for anyone that has achieved all three knows it's not an easy feat. She's not processed. She's works out hard to maintain her natural attributes so why not flaunt it? You can have it all. A husband, a baby, a career & be in charge of your reality & that has ALWAYS been what she has tried to show. She's a grown woman now just like Madonna so deal with it. As always lovely vocals. I am a huge Beyonce fan but I admit I was disappointed as well to a point On the high note I love Pretty Hurts, Blue, and Rocket. I like Drunk In Love but the first time I heard it I was shocked that a husband would so openly discuss what he and his wife do in private. Usually that is the way a man talks about someone he just has sex with and not marries. I just felt it was disrespectful. Not to say she was any better. I was sooooo happy when I heard she was dropping this album. I tell you I have tried every way to rationalize why she would so explicitly tell us about her sex life with Jay Z. But I still feel it was not necessary. I'm pretty sure we all knew she and her husband like to please each other. But there is something to be said about discretion. I will admit that the videos bring so much more to this album. I like XO but the part about the Space Shuttle was in poor taste. Take the lyrics out of the equation and I feel the SuperPower and Blow added nothing to this album. This one just ok to me. Waiting for her next body of work :-)

It's great to see another side of the Queen! Nobody is a pageant queen all the time. She has different sides. She can be super sexual and sensitive and feel the need to curse. Its not the usual Beyoncé album. Its very different,also,very unique and one-of-a-kind,which Beyoncé never disappoints on that end. This "Beyoncé" album contains all the elements of Hip-Hop,Rap,Pop,R&B and some songs the fusion of all together. In way its her "Mid-life Crisis Album." The entire album is very well put together and in my opinion its worth every penny.

I’ll have to admit, at first I was shocked. This was not what I was expecting at all. I was even thrown back to the point where I didn’t want to listen to the album. But of course it’s Beyonce, you have to give the Queen some credit. The more I listened to BEYONCE the more I loved it. She is older now, granted she’s a mom, but she’s comfortable with her body AND MARRIED. All of these things she describes is part of a healthy marriage. Beyonce does not sleep around. Jay-Z does not have illegitimate children running around. If you are ragging on her for this album’s sexual nature open your eyes. The Bible lifts sex up, not condemns it (in the boundaries of marriage of course). Lighten up. Bey has somehow put dance hits with inspirational and thought provoking songs. The album really isn’t about us as the consumer. It’s about her. Only someone with guts could unexpectedly release an album, thinking it wouldn’t sell, and have it go platinum before the weeks end.

I bought this album thanks to the hype of a surprise release and a visual album. Did not like even a single track in it. I guess this album appeals to women of certain ethnicity but definitely not for an International crowd. Zero entertainment value. You are better of buying Katy Perry, Selena Gomez or Britney Spears latest albums. Beyoncé is talented but this one is just too one dimensional. Sorry. I got this refunded.
