Not as good as the cd's put out before his death, but definitely better than the cds that are out nowadays.
Rest In Peace B.I.G you will be missed
Ok i likedf tupac better before. i was never rlly into biggie. U rlly cant compare tupac to biggie becuz they 2 different kinds of rappers with different strenghts and weaknesses Biggie has better lyrics this is first biggie album i bought i was impressed with biggie becus his beats and lyrics were sick R.I.P. Christopher Wallace[ Biggie] and TUPAC AMARU SHAKUR
I was never a fan of Biggie when he was alive (because I was only 3 years old when he died). But now that I've been introduced to his music, I love his raps and I choke up when I think about him dying. R.I.P. B.I.G I'll see you when I get there. Notorious B.I.G. Forever
The album was good, but it just wasn't the same B.I.G. I mean before he never used racial slurs as song titles (coincedentally one of my favorite songs was "Hope you ______ sleep"). it felt like a collection like Dr. Dre's..."Aftermath"... I mean the Bad Boy artists: Puff, Kim, M.A.F.I.A., Mark Curry and then the list of stars not on the label: Too Short, Hot Boyz, Snoop Dogg, Mobb Deep, Missy Elliot. I liked the tracks: "Dead Wrong" (feat. Eminem), "Notorious BIG" (feat. Lil' Kim & Puff Daddy) & "Hope you __ Sleep" (Feat. Hot Boys & Big Tymers) In closing I would like ot say while this album had some good joints it was about 50 steps below "Ready to Die" and 100 steps below "Life After Death". Thank you
This is like a tribute album,to me it was put together pretty well, even tho BIG might of worked with most of the people on the album if he was still alive, but there are a few bangers up here, and if you are a B.I.G fan like me you can add this to your collection...
RAP IS CRAP
"Tonight" is the craziest song.but other than that the whole album is great, just like all of biggies albums, u can listen to this one over and over again
This isn't a bad album, but in no way could this touch Life After Death or Ready To Die. It's just not the same without B.I.G. I recommend U buy Dead Wrong- That Sh*t is hardcore.
I am torn between loving and hating this album. This is the only album after his death that features new biggie music. With that being said some of the tracks are just not that good while others are amazing. I doubt biggie would have approved a final cut on all these tracks but hearing biggie spit something new after his death is always nice. Some tracks absolutly kill it, like Dead Wrong (eminem spits fire too), Rap Phenomenom and Dangerous MC's. All in all Born Again is much better then any other album that puffy has put biggies name on after his death, but do not listen this album until you get a chance to brush up on your real biggie first, Life After Death and Ready to Die. ps. In regard to the guy that said Tupac released many albums after his death that are better then Biggie released after his death, that is simply becuase Tupac did everything in the studio. He was the kind of rapper that would spend all day in the studio listen to beats and writing, while biggie spit off his head. Since biggie had the talent to just listen to the beat and drop a song straight off the dome there isnt much unreleased material which is why hearing new verses is so refreshing.
I'm not saying its bad but it was his worst. All his albums are great even this i can't really rate them but this album wasn't as popular as the others. It wasn't as popular as "Ready 2 Die" , "Life After Death" , or "Duets: The Final Chapter"
Every song is great cuz, well, its BIGGIE SMALLS! Nuff said.
if big was still here he wuld kill puffy,he screwed over by slappin some horrible songs on a cd and makes money off of it,dnt get me wrong some of the songs on this album are good, rap phenomenon, dead wrong, dangerous mc's and thts about it,it gets even worse when hear him in every song. when its all said and done its not a classic.
best cd ever
If you love BIG, then I'm sure you will appreciate this album. And if you don't love BIG, then you might wanna hate on it. A lot of his verses are remixed versions of tracks that have already been released; and they've got BIG spitting on only one or two verses on each track (which really isn't very unusual for a hip-hop album, but...). Anyway, I like it; maybe you will, too.
I just thought it was terrible.
It's on ok album... that Puffster always stretching sh#! to the limit.... The best track is DEAD WRONG... I was SURPRISED that EMINEM really, really RIPPED that SH#! He out shined Big on that track( I know, I know Biggie wasn't alive when it was put together....)
Well this isn't what I had expected it to be, I mean, it's worth the 10.99 but it isn't as good as Ready To Die or Life After Death. Buy it only if you are a true B.I.G. fan.
BIGGIE IS THE GREATIST RAPPER THAT EVER LIVED. AND EVEN WHEN HE WAS DEAD, DIDDY BROUGHT HIM BACK FROM THE DEAD AND MADE THIS TIGHT CD. SO DONT LISTEN TO ALL THE HATERS.
How could you not like this? It's Biggie. There's no one in the game today who wasn't inspired by the Notorious. best tracks: Notorious B.I.G., Rap Phenomenom, Dead Wrong, and Dangerous MC's
buy it yo.
Although the beats aren't amazing, Biggie keeps up the solid rap he did when he was alive. The top 3 songs are. 1.) I hope You N***as Sleepin' 2.) Can I Get Witcha 3.) N***as (Also if you like Biggie, get Life After Death)
this is the stuff
B.I.G. Rest In Peace
All these song sucks. Pac has released 7 albums after is death that are way better than this one. I suggest you buy those.
Okay this album is good and it would be better if I didn't have to hear diddy's voice in the backround every 5 seconds. Get it thru you thick head Diddy, nobody wants the to hear you this is Biggie's album and you ruining by by running you mouth on every track of every album. Overall Its a good album. Who ever killed biggie fess up please!!!!!!!!!!!
BIG POPPA IS THE ONLY RAP SONG I WOOD EVER LISEN TO. I CLICKED ON IT AND IT GA ME A DIFFERENT SONG. I CANCELED IT BUT IT STILL CEPT MY MONEY. WHEN I CLICKED ON IT AGEN IT DID THE SAME THING
Biggie is the greatest rapper and this album is hot!
big is the best on the east coast and so are the classic Run Dmc but what is all this crap about people saying the game hated biggie.....ok i hane a question for all you people who hates the game Why did game make a song with biggie callled 1970???? because game like bigg you Retards
