I can actually listen to this music unlike some stuff these days! Real music, real talent, genius! Awesome!

The quality of music on this collection is a bit of a surprise, most posthumous releases tend to be clippings from the floor patched and sampled into something soulless - the fact Michael didn't do the final masters on these tracks isn't relevant, he's had official releases of remixes himself. The song styles are a bit mixed because they come from different periods, but the engineers have done well to make the songs all sound current. A 3 1/2 but Jackson fans will probably love it.

Some of the tracks on this album were top! One of my favorites is "Love Never Felt So Good". However, there are some that were previously unreleased for a good reason, and I'm not sure Michael himself would have been happy with the final product. Additionally, the deluxe album is supposed to come with the documentary, but I don't have it in my library. This might not be the appropriate forum, but I just want to put it out there.

I hate how everybody was hating on this because it didn't have Michael Jackson's 'Final Touch' (and by the way, it did). Michael Jackson pre-recorded these albums so that his family would still make money like they did when he was alive. And THIS is the best Michael Jackson album that I have ever heard.

Compare this to anything else that is being released today. These are songs that Michael enjoyed. We know this because they are fully completed songs. Even though they didnt make it on any album, they are still very awesome songs. I want them to release as much of Michael's music as possible. I would even enjoy listenting to beatboxing and even songs that are unfinished because anything that comes from him is pure gold. It comes from the heart, which is what contemporary pop music lacks. Today it is all about making a couple hit songs and going on tour. It isnt about the music.

The cast of musicians they used to produce this album are awesome. They really stayed true to the MJ way, I originally thought they woulda went far away from it but nope I was wrong.

I was so happy to hear that they are finally releasing new unreleased songs by Michael Jackson! Even today, he still proves that he is the King of Pop! Love you Michael! RIP King of Pop!

Love Never Felt So Good is on point! Xscape is also great. My favorite song of this album is A Place with No Name. It's incredible!! The remake and the original. Definitely my favorite album of 2014. Hopefully they do a Dangerous 25 in 2016! I love the new music and the old. There will never be another Michael Jackson. His music unites us all. Truly incredible and magical! Long live the King.

Michael Jackson was a brilliant song writer and an amazing dancer. Echoes of his music are still heard in every genre of music today. You can practically trace dance choreography of today's celebrities back to Michael. No matter where his personal life took him later, no one can deny the influence that he had on modern music. Even after his demise, he still sells music. Besides the effect he had on music and choreography, he was ahead of his time when it came to the importance of music videos as well style. It doesn't matter if it's Hip Hop, R&B, Pop or even Country, I see something that reminds me of MJ's influence whether it's the song, dancing, clothing, set design or something minor in today's top performers. People want to discredit him due to accusations made against him later in life. He was found guilty in the court of public opinion, not a court of law. Leave his legacy alone. He did a lot for music. Until someone presents tangible legal evidence and not monetary payments to go away, I won't consider that evidence. Most Americans don't understand that settlements happen in this country all the time but that doesn't make you guilty. Anyway, he left a definite mark on music starting as a child all the way until his death. He had so much more to give the music community, both professionally and as a mentor. May his musical legacy live on.

i love mikes music……but for the love of God, how do professional producers not recognize the fact that the very first track on the album is peaking out????? you can blatantly hear the distortion from the compression when the chorus comes in on "Love Never Felt So Good"….its almost impossible to listen to. i can't take it anymore….there are so many new records that have this problem and its starting to ruin my listening experience…..I love this song and the music so much but the production of track 1 is made for laptop speakers, and not done well at all….…mike would have never stood for it...

This album is fantastic! As you can tell by my username, I mostly listen to metal, but MJ is an artist I've been listening to since I was a little kid in the 80's and his music will always have a special place with me. The producers have done a phenomenal job of bringing a current yet timeless sound to the demo's Michael left behind and this album stands proudly alongside MJ's vast catalogue of music IMO.

I'm a big fan of timbaland, but this album is just awful. This is just a disgrace to MJ's legacy. I can't believe his family accepted something like this to come out. Again I am a really big fan of Timbaland and Justin Timberlake, but only Michael Jackson can make a Michael Jackson album.

Initially, I was a tad skeptical towards this album. Xscape now marks the second album to be released since Michael Jackson passed away. Which means that he has no say in anything from this point on (sigh). "Michael", the first album released a couple years ago just did not have that MJ factor. Maybe I felt this way because I knew Michael had no say in this, and was still devastated about his death. But Xscape captures that fun loving and musical genius side that Dangerous definitely portrayed on Michael's behalf. I am really impressed, and love the album in all respects. But there's always that rain on our Michael loving parade. Michael Jackson is sadly gone, and not able to contribute to any of the music released on his behalf. We will forever miss him, and his legacy is greatly treasured.

Wow!! It is beyond wonderful to hear his voice again in some new songs! I love the way they produced the tracks, I'm glad they did it justice because it would have been rather disappointing otherwise. I just got the album today so I've only listened to it a few times, but from what I've heard it is incredible! They gave some of the songs a more R&B feel compared to how they were on the demos, but I actually really like that! As always, Michael's vocals are amazing and powerful, especially on the title track, Xscape. I'd have to say my favourite song on there is Loving You, because I always love Michael ballads and this one is especially sweet. Also the piano part that they added in was so catchy and made the song even better than it already was! All in all, I was overjoyed to hear Michael's voice, his incredible lyrics, his beautiful open harmonies, and the whole production finally! If you're a fan of Michael it is definitely worth a listen! I hope to hear some of it on the radio. It would be incredible if this album went to the top like all his other ones, even though he isn't necessarily here. They've done a pretty good job promoting it so far so hopefully it'll become popular. LOVED IT! <3 And I love Michael, as always

Sure, it’s no Thriller. It’s no Off the Wall. Hell, it’s no Invincible. But as far as posthumous releases go, you’d be hard pressed to do much better than this. Kudos to Sony for creating such a fantastic compilation, as well as giving fans the original demos. (Also, how funky is that Place with No Name!?)

This was a amazing album and would of gotten 5 stars from me…. Would of… The song i am the most ticked off about is Do You Know Where Your Children Are? they do not have the version that was leaked onto the internet on the album. Maybe that wasn’t the original version in the beginning but that was definitely my favourite version of that song and i really hope they re-release that version of the song.

Unlike many newly released albums, the deluxe version of this album is essential and highly recommended because, I think the original version of the songs are much better than the remixed ones that are available in the normal version. 4 stars because, I expected songs like I was the loser, She was loving me, All I need and I have this dream to be included in the tracklist

I like Love Never Felt So Good, Chicago, Blue Gangsta. I really like the new version of A Place With No Name even though it heavily borrows from Leave Me Alone and the Stevie Wonder clav sound. Do You Know Where Your Children are is cool but I miss the guitar riff from the jay z demo version. I like the new version of Xscape. The old version is cool but it sounds very dated. For me the most disappointing is Slave To The Rhythm. The Timbaland version doesn’t really go anywhere. It’s got nice heats but musically it’s not that interesting, It’s the albums weak point for me. Even the original - melodically is just not that interesting. I would not release this track as a single. Overall the new versions fit well together as an album. It’s nice to have the demo versions to make everyone happy. If only they had applied the same process and producers when they did Michael and it would have turned out much better.

I definitely like this album. I have been MJ's fan since the beginning of time. The album definitely is missing Michaels final touches. It's an album that is not polished to his level of perfection. It's close but what ever it takes to give us the opportunity to enjoy his music for a long time to come. Most of the songs mastered for this album has a new flavour that is current. However, in my opinion I prefer the original versions. RIP MJ.

I am a huge fan of Michael and I love his music. I have also been excited for a long time to hear this album. But how would Michael Jackson feel about people putting out music that wasn't the best of his ability? I am really hoping the money goes to the Jackson Family because Michael is dead. If it doesn't, I don't know if this is 100% Michael Jackson/Jackson Family authority... I think they should ask the Jacksons about it and I hope they do. Still though, who knows if his best is still to come?

I have been a Michael Jackson fan all my life, I had all the jackson 5 albums, used to watch the cartoons as a kid, off the wall(album) changed my life, thriller (album) gave it a consistent direction, the following albums continued to enthrall the world, I often listen to remixes on soundcloud and love so many of them, my disappointment was the purchase of this album, you have even attempted to tweak Michael's voice, big mistake, the production would have come off better if you had looked at his previous songs and really listened to it, the production team behind this failed, another thing Michael never released an album with different versions of his songs repeating it self Shame on you sony music, this album is just a money grabber the only song worth owning is love never felt so good and truly I've heard better versions on soundcloud that kids have put together in their bedrooms

'A place with no name' by Michael Jackson is a copy of 'a horse with no name' by the band America. Otherwise, the album is great, but I prefer the original version of the songs a lot more. Especially The song 'Xscape' the original was way better and also sounded like it was from this generation. Michael Jackson was a genius.

I have spent the last 36 years listening to his music... My ears yearn for the sound of his voice but I only thought song number 1 was worthy for release... There are supposed to be 100s of un released songs so why not just release the 'best' songs instead of trying to make money from all of them.. Michael would not approve.

Perfect album. Some songs so amazing, they gave me goosebumps & that says it all about this album. I prefer michaels original versions to some of the re produced songs. You can hear he was miles ahead of even the top producers. The reworked stuff is amazing to, they made the songs sound completely diff. Definitely an album with huge content & something you want to play over & over again. There's going to be some new huge classic hits from this album for sure. No 1. This is a brill album , can't stop listening to it , for me the originals are better ,the remixed ones I'm not keen on and the sound on some songs is not crystal clear , this is gotta be album of the year for me

He is dead, sadly, how can he have a new cd!! The people who made this is just ruining his past!! Go and ruin someone else's music and leave the KING of POP alone!! Because he was better than half of the people today who have just got famous because of the X factor or just made a mix of fair ground music on a mixing board!! 😡😡

I love MJ especially the early stuff. What is good about the album there are the original and engineered versions. Since his passing being the only album since it’s good to hear the stuff that had been worked on , bootleg or what ever….I like the love never felt so good,with justin defo a great song to bridge the generations. anything further would be robbing the grave and just too engineered and whats the point…...

Great Album especially the Deluxe Edition which contains some real treasures of originals!!! Keep playing over and over!!! Such a great Album, only wish there were more tracks on the line up, makes you want more this way I guess :)

Great collection of works by the King of Pop. Much more fluent than the last release, with the added bonus of the originals that MJ had envisioned... Good times, the king is back!

First eight tracks are crap, quite simply sounding like some child is sat in his bedroom playing along to a michael Jackson vocal. The rest of the album is very good (the originals + Justin Timberlake track). Had they released this without the crappy background extra tracks, (which are annoyingly placed as the first ones in the play order) then this would have been worth five stars. As I have to skip eight tracks before I can actually enjoy the cd it has to lose a star. Sad fact is, the people who added all of that extra crap to the first eight tracks will undoubtably be making a shed load of cash from this so we can expect them to be ruining more music soon...Or perhaps they could spend some of that ill gotten gain going back to school to improve.

Everyone is saying how this album was not released when he was alive for a reason. Actually, he probably was going to release these songs after the 'This Is It' tour. I love how we are still living his legacy :)

Well done MJ! You will forever live on! This album is brilliant and proves how great the King Of Pop is !!!

Pointless album based on his early work and demos all mashed up together and not a single one is catchy or a classic. It's all a ploy to make more money on inferior songs of his which he himself disgarded and didn't put in his albums.

Love never felt so good is an amazing song from the Thriller era. Once again the genius that is Michael Jackson comes alive through this new music. Wonderful!

It's a shame to sell out Michael like this. The songs sound crappy and over produced.

These producers are just making money of songs that should never have been released + how do we know he allowed producers to release some of these tracks. Please, whatever you do, never buy this album, it's way too expensive and there are two songs that sound exactly the same.

I wasn't quite sure what to think when I heard this album but after a few listens I've come to the conclusion that LA Reid, Timberland and his team have done an excellent job and produced something MJ would have been thrilled with. The King of Pop lives on. Whatever people may have had to say about his personal life MJ was and is musically a force to be reckoned with.

As many people have said this is clearly a money making venture. The songs are nowhere near to MJ's usual standard, hence why they were left off of other albums. Producers should feel ashamed to tarnish Jacksons name like this.

Have played this album a few times now and it's the originals I keep going back to. Michael's voice gives me goosebumps and evokes so many memories of the classics over the years. Judge for yourself but I for one am so glad I can hear these songs rather than them being stored in a dusty room somewhere!

I think he album is amazing but doesn't it seem very disrespectful to bring out an album of someone who is dead. Micheal Jackson may not of wanted this. It's a way of getting money but there was a reason he didn't release these song while he was alive.

I really think they're taking the p**s with this album in more ways than one, check out the track list. Cashing in on the guy, the songs are ones he didn't release because he didn't think they were up to scratch. They're not. R.I.P.

Somehow it feels sad to me. When I saw "Slave to the rhythm" hologram today, I was so shocked that I was crying. It wasn't him, it was not even looking like Michael. Same with this album. Somehow I feel wrong buying it. The music is great, the lyrics, all. But it just doesn't settle in my head, how someone who's gone can release an album five years after. And it don't matter if he's gone to heaven or made it look like it, he's gone for a reason.

I'm not gonna say I hate it, but going against what Michael wanted is kind of disrespectful. He clearly didn't feel these were up to the standard of his other songs, so he didn't release them. A silly little cash grab by a greedy family.

Ok people say leave MJ alone and in some ways I agree but this album is wicked if u love MJ, timbaland, and the closest thing we have to Michael Jackson, Justin timber lake Well u will love it the beats are great and MJs voice has never sounded better the last album was a cash in this have love and heart put in to it and it sounds like a album MJ would make now if he wasn't gone long live the king of pop

Just being honest, I'm in love with this album, although the original songs are better I still love the altered songs, the only reason why the original tracks are better is because he personally wanted them to sound like that! However now they have been changed to be more contemporary and maybe he wouldn't of liked the changed they did, after all this is his legacy they producer could be ruining his legacy!! Besides this, Michael May have like his songs like this if still alive, as time goes on, music changes, who's to say whether this was the right choice, we should be grateful as fans to have new music of the king of pop, r.i.p!!his amazing voice has graced our world once again🙌

It's good to hear some unheard stuff. Some of the tracks are 5/5 and make you wanna get on your feet. His voice makes the new beats even better. The original tracks are a good listen and tell great stories with his great vocals and lyrics however the new versions in my opinion are more about the beats rather then the story Michael was try to put across. Much better album then 'Michael' from 2010. I enjoy all the tracks and can't stop listening to some of them. If you like Michael and want your fix get it!

Great album, really brings Michael back to life....Great "XSCAPE"

This album really is worth buying if you are Mj fan it has a nice thriller era edge to the album , the originals is top class , the production done by people Mj had the trust in the most really does add the finishing touches to this album .... The tracks have been growing on me more and more since. Top album ignore the negative comments saying this is a cash in, far from it , top production, Just a shame Mj isn't around but his collection lives on.

I'm sorry. I loved MJ when he was alive but I find this a bit creepy and I do believe it is his family cashing in again.

I'm a massive MJ fan and I have to say I can't stop listening to this album, yes it's not a good as his own albums but then it never would be, timberland and other producers here have done a good job and have giving these dates tunes some sparkle, this is a much better package than the MICHAEL album

I havent bought the entire album yet but have got a couple of the tracks and well all I can say is I love them, have always been an MJ fan so enough said but I dont know if this album was necessary. I dont know if he would have wanted this, is this album to remember his great style and voice and show that he is timeless (I like to think thats the reason why they done this) or is it another quick get rich scheme for the studio (I like to think not). I know I have kinda contradicted myself by buying a couple of the tracks but who cant resist his material. So fellow MJ music lovers..... YOU BE THE JUDGE.

Yes, MJ isn't here anymore. But that doesn't mean his music shouldn't be released still! I think this album has a great collection of songs that Michael clearly wanted to be released at some point (as the original recordings, I mean) as these were the songs that he had recorded vocals on, from top to bottom. And he NEVER recorded vocals until he knew the song was right, and if it didn't turn out how he wanted he wouldn't have recorded them top to bottom. Yes, the edited versions are pretty sucky (Except A Place With No Name & Love Never Felt So Good) other than that, get this deluxe version as the original recordings are MUCH better and true to MJ (as he left them). It's not a poor attempt to bring the king back, and even if you find it bad, at least we have Michael back in the charts instead of the awful stuff that's out there! Be happy that they can still work with his music and feel the pleasure of giving us the originals too. I personally love this album, it still makes me bob my head and take my feet. Any MJ fan will buy this, no matter what. Appreciate the effort, people! And of course, let's save the world. 5/5.

I wasn’t expecting this album to be good at all, cause I felt these might be incomplete songs by Michael that were remixed and published. To my surprise the albums stays true to MJ throughout. Songs like “Slave to the Rhythm”, “XSCAPE”, “Blue Gansta”, etc are pretty much the type of songs that you would expect from MJ with a catchy beat that u can dance to in your room without a care in the world. So for me MJ still rocks.

This isn't right, his unreleased music should of stayed unreleased not make an album out of it. I am a huge Michael Jackson fan this just feels wrong, his legacy should live on through all of his other albums that he put his heart and soul into ! This is just a sick way of making money from a dead man.

Place with no name is a great release,coupled with love never felt so good and blue gangster. Have to say that as much as the album was released posthumously, Michael was a man all about the music; the king of pop left these tracks for us to hear and enjoy.

Brilliant album love the originals but timberland has really shown his worth with what's he's done with the tracks.slave to the rhythm especially great album!!!! Hope we get more of the same quality.would love a couple more dance ones to go with love never felt so good though but who cares it's Michael jackson back in the charts baby wooow.!!!
