This is easily his best album sonically speaking. There are no weird songs in here, nothing that is too poppy, no corny hooks…just a masterfully done hip hop album that is centered around bars. The word play is there as always, the flow and charisma. The departure from songs that sound forced or depressingly done is welcome for sure. I hope this is the direction he plans to go in for the foreseeable future.

Like how it's a bit more upbeat than FL2, and of course lyrics are always deep. Can't believe it's not more popular…

Truly the best lyricist in the game. So much depth. Cleverly done. Unmatched wit. Simply amazing. Will always remain my favorite rapper to listen to. I don't care what album drops this year, it won't top this. Instant classic.

Unfortunately many will not understand the meaning or numerous undertones in this album. Even still, this album speaks for those who cannot poetically articulate their struggles. If been a fan of Lupe for years and this might be his best work. This is definitely a Classic and one of the greatest albums I've ever heard.

With the exception of No Scratches & Little Death, every song on this album is enjoyable. I LOVE IT. Favorite tracks: Mural, Dots & Lines, Body of Work, Chopper, Deliver, Madonna.

This album is fantastic. Lupe talks about the situations and lives of most black people. It is very relatable to our everyday lives and circumstances. This is the type of music we need not that other garbage that is played 24/7 365 for us to consume. Keep pushing the right message Lupe!!!

To pimp a butterfly was great but it didn't have the fun, mind challenging elements that Lupe's lyrics have, Lupe is far and away the best "mainstream" rapper and this album is his newest masterpiece

Lupe has always been, always is, and will be remembered as a complete genius. Since Food & Liquor, he's been hitting us with unique flow, complimented by some of the best lyricism hip-hop has ever laid out for us, because let's face it, people don't know hip-hop anymore. Even hip-hop doesn't know what hip-hop is anymore. It's a lost art, and when there's a genius in the booth, the studio lights stay on. Hip-hop lives. Artists like Lupe have to rebuild after the destruction of the genre with records like this. It's obviously not political gabbing (though we do love it very much), but it's fresh, it's intelligent, it's Lu. Never before will you hear standards; bars set any higher. This is 2015. Music evolves, and this is the future. Drake? Kendrick? Wayne? They're catching on, but as of now, Lupe has the crown, and with his lyrical genius at work, he better hope that crown is comfortable. Tetsuo & Youth is a work of art, and I'd say if you consider yourself any sort of hip-hop "enthusiast", or even a fan for that matter, this album should be an instant buy. No question. It's real hip-hop. But, other than that, I can't wait for Lost In The Atlantic and future Lupe projects. Peace.

I've had this album since release. Not even fair how beautiful this album is. I was just previewing it to see if I liked it and heard the first 20 seconds of "Mural." It's so powerful I started tearing up. Bought it immediately and you should too.

An instant all-time favorite. Easily the album of the year, and an instant contender for album of the decade. An incredible showing, not one weak track to be found, beautiful and soothing diverse beats (ranging from pianos to violins and even banjos) along with wonderful guest vocals back the always thoughtful and addictive flow of Lupe; I cannot recommend this album highly enough. Phenomenal!

This album is Lupe's best work to date. Production is movie-like. The lyricism is genius...you will need a thesaurus, dictionary, encyclopedia, and google to decipher some of the points Lupe is trying to get across. This is one of the best rap albums in years. Unfortunately, this album will be one of the most underappreciated of our time.

Ever since Spotify, I've stopped buying albums. I'm from Chicago, I'm a Lupe fan. This is the album I've been waiting for from him. I watched a video about this album making 50K in its first week. I believe and support everything he does, I thought this purchase would help. Here's to you Lu.

I bought the tetsuo & youth album a week after it came out and have listened to it everyday at least once. I've always been a lupe fan and he never disappoints me 👍👍👍

The songs play well on their own, but they play even better as a whole. Fantastic lyrics and great sound. The only minor complaint I have is about Prisoner 1 & 2. During the first half of the song mainly during the verses there's a high pitched ring that can be heard that gets kind of annoying unless you can tune it out yourself. But it's by no means a deal breaker.
