Amazing
This isnโt a bad album, however maybe it is the fact that when I started listening to Cole I was in my 20โs and now Iโm in my 30โs and what the fans want is different. I can still bump the warm up, Friday Night Lights and Sideline Story like itโs new. Only a few songs since then take me back. I will say though 4 your eyes only is probably my favorite song by him on the last 3 albums.
๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
This album is fire ๐ฅ
J, I am a fan, but this album is not succinct. Whereโs my Forest Hills artist, you know, the hungry one?
Good album, Iโve heard better from Cole but this is still nice!
Obviously daddy and obviously the GOAT. ๐ฅ
....
you can find me at all the concerts
Still listening to it in 2019
Here to put it out there that you jacked K.O.D. from Tech N9ne.
This album is amazing. A living legend.
KOD is the best!!!!!!!!
Overrated mainstream garbage
This is a slept on project. Very educational to a lot of young rappers nowadays. Shouldโve won a grammy
i miss the older cole rap flows rapping about real life stuff instead of the newer rap ๐ข๐ข๐ข๐ข๐ข๐ข
He is only good on mixtapes and features. He should rap over better beats because your production is boring on all your albums and even your rapping is mid on your albums
Wonโt even call it a classic, but every track a hit ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Itโs J Cole, could have been better tho
The Goat๐
Fire
His work never disappoints. Loved hearing and feeling all the love he put into this album.
J Cole the goat period!
Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo good ๐๐
KOD is an amazing piece of art that really tells you how it was like for J Cole growing up and experiences he went through. I think it's good to listen to this because it is good to see or even hear in a different perspective than how you grew up. For starters, in the song KOD he talks about his youth and how he was around drugs at a very young age. He also talks a lot about relationships that he went through. Like in โPhotographโ he talks how he finds a picture of a girl on social media and instantly goes for her. He explains the relationships on social media very good and puts it in a brilliant perspective. He also explains what money has done to him. Like in โATMโ he explains what money has done to his community and family. He also refers to what his fame has done to him and I think it's really good to hear what the actual artist are going through and what they had to get through to get where they are. But Cole also says that โATMโ means addicted to money which means he is striving for success and keeps doing more. He talks about going through โfakeโ friends and he is starting not to trust people as much, LIke in the song โThe Cut Offโ he says he realizes he is giving a lot to others but not anything back. J Cole was actually born in Germany but grew up in North Carolina. If you are interested in rappers lives and how they grew up than KOD is perfect. Cole really gets in to how drugs led him in the bad direction and even potentially cheating on someone. In โKevinโs Heartโ he uses how Kevin Hart cheated on his wife to show how J Cole cheated do to drugs. Cole said KOD stands for โKids Dn Drugsโ โKing Overdosedโ or โKill Our Demonsโ He mentions drugs a lot in this album and how it affected him. He also says how bad it lead him and how much it was around as a kid. He refers to โKill Edwardโ a lot. โEdwardโ is his demon that he says encourages him to do drugs and make the bad decisions he did. That connects to one of the โKODโ meanings โKill Our Demonsโ. Overall an amazing story that is explained really well in put in great detail. 10 out of 10 from me This reminds me more of a memoir than just lyrics. He really does put his whole life out there and really explains what it was like for him and his struggles which takes a lot for someone to do.
Once again we have another J Cole album that is mediocre but his fans hype it up way to much. This is definitely not J Coles but album by any means but it isnโt really bad, itโs alright. Whatever the reason is for you to like this album there is a better option. Want lyricism and flow change? Listen to Ta13oo by Denzel Curry. Want that same type of flow that J Cole shows? listen to Some Rap Songs by Earl Sweatshirt. Want to partake in a overhyped album and talk about how good it is? Listen to Astroworld by Travis Scott. This Album is Aight
Great album, very catchy songs
Cole seems to have taken the same deep lyrics heโs known for & contorted them to fit into whatโs poppinโ this day & age. Heโs spittinโ wisdom to younger generations through a medium they know & love. Hopefully the messages are received.
Great album one of the best story tellers
This whole album is a masterpiece in terms of message and how hard it hits. I could listen to ever song individually on repeat for an hour, and not get tired of it. On top of that, each one has itโs own message. For example, 1985 is about how rappers these days are always talking about drugs and crap, so people get the wrong impressions of black people and the hip-hop culture. Another example is ATM. This is simply about money addiction, and how it can effect young people by making them go broke. Finally, one of my favorites, Window Pain. This is about a little girl that he met the summer before this was released. Basically, she had to deal with a lot of pain and deaths as a child, including her own cousin.
Bruh just donโt tell me he ainโt the goat.
This is prolly my favorite album of the decade

This might not be a โ2014 Forest Hills Driveโ but this tells a message much deeper than you think.
It goes hard ๐ฅ๐
one of his best albums.
1985 sound like Drake made it from the bottom now we here.
Cole is the truth. Even when it hurts. KOD is one the Best Abums of 2018. But white supremacy own hip hop. He wont get that light...
Feels rushed To me

Breathtaking. Beautiful. Every track is different. Every track is mesmerising. You have all these lil whatevaโs shook. Not disappointed. This gave me hope. Hope that if J. Cole wrote a masterpiece in 6 days, I can finish all my homework in the weekend. Because J. Cole is for the people. J Cole for president 2020
Got that heat seeker.

WHAT HAPPENEDTO THE GOOD MUSIC U USED TO MAKE THUS GOT ME SPEWING ๐ฉ
The album of the year ๐๐๐
So deep and true
Most meaningful raps I've ever heard. Keep it up.
Been listening to Cole since โThe Warm Upโ and itโs been crazy to watch his growth. I love Cole but every artist isnโt great forever.. feel like this album isnโt as great as all of his others. He is slowly becoming more like modern rappers using the same flows. Not all the track on this album are bad tho.
Idk my first impressions where like the one star reviews but the more you listen to the album itโs actual fire ๐ฅ
One of his best yet๐๐ฅ
J. Cole never disappoints! He introduced some new sound and topics into his music and kept parts of songs the same. Many artists would fail at delivering a mix of their old and new sound correctly but J. cole exceeded my expectations, I listened to the album while doing homework and almost cried from how great it is. If you are into good hip hop and also hints of the new modern rap you will love this.
Unbelievable!!!, album of the year contender right here ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Amazing as always every song be different and dope

Normally all of his albums mean something but 1 or tracks on this are good And thatโs it I hope he comes out with another album this year cause this one wasnโt cole this more like something from dudes in dreamville
Finally a decent hip hop album! J Cole proving heโs at the top of his game
This has to be in my top 5 albums of all time. Production, instrumentals, lyrics, it has it all. J. Cole, Beast Coast, Flatbush and Top Dawg are gonna kill it. Game Over.
Right here we have another Amazing full body of work from cole, I feel a true sense of belief, conscious lyrics and empowering vibes!!
He just put the whole Rap scene in check! He just schooled all youโre favourite 1 hit wonder, 8 week rappers. Learn from the best
J you outdid yourself! ๐คฏ
Thinks heโs Kendrick Lamar sounds nothing like j Cole
Jockey never disappoints ๐๐๐๐๐
This album is incredible!! ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Bow to the king.
Dope album how to get digital booklet though?
Classic

๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
A real highpoint in 2018. It's just a pity it's so short.
A solid project once again from Cole, he switches his flow more than usual which only adds more fire to the album, tight production, lyrics are at a high level as usual, the topics and views portrayed by Cole just seem to be getting more and more on point. Not 1 bad song on this album. Solid project ๐ฅ
๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ โNuff said
Yet another featureless album thatโs gonna go platinum from the GOAT
๐ฅโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ
Best album of 2018

Another One. ๐ฅ๐
Cole delivers, as always.
As always with cole, a few plays is needed to digest. From what I've caught. Some good lyrical content. Beats not as hard as past records
Amazing
Just sounds like every other boring hip hop album same beat try something different with hip hop like Cardi B or Kendrick Lamar
I love you
This is awesome. Another masterpiece.
Cole has great way of conveying serious messages. Every song is great. Btw- when he said in 5 years youโll be in love and hip hop- I felt that!๐ nah but seriously, each song is touching in a different way and touches on real things! I love him
Another great project from Cole & Dreamville. The message in this album is most relevant.
Besides KOD, Window Pane & ATM, the rest of the album feels very bland and same old Cole bars and slow repetitive flow.
I expected more, the first half, his rhythm is very robotic in the first half of the album. highlights are once an addicted and Friends. Lazy rapping, Cole you're better than this.
Cole is the king most definite
Don't even sound like the j cole i know, is this kendrick
Love J Cole and his lyrics have grown on this album but production is dreadful and sounds a mess.
NO WORDS๐๐๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ
Lyrically itโs magic, crazy flow, need to sack person making the beats has no clue ruining all the songs
there is only 2 -3 good song. the re is all the same
This album can relate to everyone no matter what background, age or stage in life. Cole pours out his soul irrespective of the current culture and possible push back he may recieve from speaking so candidly. I loved 4 your eyez only but this has magnified and intensified my love for J.Cole's music, worth every penny, cent or pesos. Definitely buy this Albulm you will not regret it.
