Sensational!!! I canโt imagine how fun it would be to play this with an orchestra! Cantina band is almost jazzy!!
Terrible movie
This one is the Best soundtrack of the series in my opinion!
This isn't the way I wanted the tracks to be arranged! I want the complete score, in the order they were heard in the movie! The way it was when RCA Victor or Sony Classical released it! I love John Williams' Star Wars score, but I can't live with these soundtracks the way they are arranged right now!

It would have been nice for iTunes to release the Special Edition of this soundtrack, This album doesnโt have โ The Battle of Yavin โ or โ Cantina Band 2 โ But Iโm glad it does have the Throne Room. If you really want to like and appreciate this soundtrack, you need to hear all of the Special Edition ( 24 songs )!

5 stars cuz it has cantina band
This is not the two disc release that came out in 1997 alongside the Special Editions, so this album does not have every track in the film. Having said that, this is a remaster of the very original soundtrack release that I used to listen to on cassette tape. So for nostaliga reasons alone this is great! Plus the price reflects this, and it definitely sounds better than the 1997 release. I like!

Like others said, this is a remastered early release of the original soundtrack and does not contain the extended special edition. However, (and this is a big however) the music is so rich and unbelievably clear, you have no choice but to buy it. We can only hope they remaster the special edition in the future, but until then I will continue to be overwhelmed by the crispness of this soundtrack. It was money well spent in my opinion and will gladly substitute it for my other โNew Hopeโ edition.
This is the very original 1977 soundtrack which was never meant to be in chronological order to the events in the film. It is enjoyable as a work of pure orchestral artistry. Its the reason I love all classical music today. This may in fact be the greatest orchestral sound track in history.

Great score
Like others have said, I'm disappointed that the tracks aren't in sequential order, allowing for a full experience of the development of theme as they are expressed in the film; however, the quality of each individual track is unquestionable.
This music will be listened to hundreds of years from now. Itโs timeless. John Williams is by far the best American composer ever. His body of work is astounding.
Itโs incredible. I liked imperial attack and bens death and the tie fighter attack.
