I hated the majority of her last album, and I was hesitant to purchase this one. I'm glad I went ahead and purchased it. This album is a great addition to her catalog. It feels like a mix of her earlier work. This album is not as good as Prism, but it is definitely a grown up version of Teenage Dream. I wish her other singles released prior to this album were actually on it, but I guess I can live with having them in the same playlist instead.

Over time, I like this album more than Prism so SMILE is in 2nd place after Teenage Dream (too many memory associations on that one where there was very little memories made during covid when this came out). The songs have really grown on me and make me feel good.

Katy really needs to try something new because her music has been really repetitive and boring. I like her old music better. She hasn’t had an album as great as Teenage Dream. Harleys in Hawaii was the only one I liked.

Smile may not have topped the charts like “Teenage Dream” did and it may not have a single as successful as “Roar”, but Smile is Katy Perry‘a most important album and arguably her best. Smile focuses on overcoming depression and finding yourself after you lose yourself to personal demons. I was hesitant to listen to Smile after the less than flattering Witness era but I found myself loving this album on a spiritual and emotional level. Everything that was wrong with Witness is fixed with Smile and It’s a shame that her best album since Teenage Team is being ignored.

Catchy tunes with positive lyrics

This is awesome, and how she named her child Daisy, adorable. Do not listen to people who hate this because they are WRONG, this was one of the best albums in 2020.
