You have to really love Regina's music to understand that fidelity was not her best song, but perhaps samson, eet, brallie, love affair, and on the radio. But sadly people dont have the time to really listen and understand Regina's music, otherwise you would realize that her best songs are just begaining...

THE BEST SINGER OF 2010 Regina has gone through so much and puts so many emotions in her songs, it is impossible to not love her music. Her voice is compellingly spendid! The vocals and the lyrics make it 100% unique and absoloutely the best!

Fidleity - 5 stars This song is quirky and totally Regina Spektor. Her mellow voice carries through the song in a way that is soothing yrt exilerating. Better - 3 stars THIs song is a little more commercially than fidelity or samson, but still quirky enough to be Regina Spektorish. Personaaly I don't like the whiney tone Regina Spektor takes on here or the reppitition of lyrics, but it is still a good song. Samson - 4 stars I love this song the lyrics are so beautiful and elequent. The only critque I have on this song is her voice at points can take on a whiney tone; although in my opinion the whinry isn't nearly as bad as in "Better". On the Radio - 5 stars In case I haven't mentioned the piano in all her songs are amazing, but I love the piano intro in this one particulary and the piano riffs. In addition to the amazing piano skills regina spektor posses her lyrics and voice take quirky and beautiful to a new level. I know I'm going on but i also love the clapping. Field bellow - 3 stars I don't like this song at all but there are some things I have to say on her behalf before I start my critiques. Once again when it comes to the piano look out Beethoven because her comes REgina Spektor. Unfortunately I have to say this song is whiney and the lyrics are virtually impossible to understand, but the lyrics that you can understand are beautfuk. All in all this songs is depressing even thoiugh i love depressing music this is funeral depressing. Hotel Song - 4 stars I love the intro to this song her voice is very different in this song yet the same the beat is cheerful and the song is upbeat. NOt quite as touching as FIdelity but still a good track. Apres Moi - 5 stars Once again piano intro great I love the grunts and how her voice can take on such range in this song. The lyrics are excellent REgina sure knows her audience the only critique i have is her voice can become a little whiney at points. I Love the part that is another language how she can go from one langue to the next is amazinig. 20 Years of Snow - 4 stars There's nothing that really stand out to me in this song thats good or bad it's a nice addition to your library nice lyrics good piano good voice that's really all there is. That Time - 5 stars It stands out when you listen to this whole album more of a soft rocker vibe than the reset of the songs but i love it. Lyrics are great very catchy once again great song regina. Edit - 4 stars doesn't stand out good solid song though. Lady - 5 stars I LOve the lyrics the vibe is right on totally REgina piano once again sounds in my opinion better than beethoven. SUmmer in the City - 5 stars NOT as great as Fidelity but I feel that it really captures the raw human emotion Regin Spektor truly understnds the delicate raw human emotion. BOUNUS TRACKS Another Town - Good intro, but average from then on in good song that is a great addition to the album. Uh-Merica - 5 stars Raw and true lyrics good piano love the grunts just another goood quirky song from Regin Spektor. Baobabs - 5 stars intro leads great into regina's soft voice the lyrics realy capture the true human emotion. Dusseldorf - 5 stars good song fast paced but not rushed your probably sick of me saying this bbut hte piano is amazing and the lyrics are touching yrt comical. Music Box - 5 stars my favorite part is when she say I run the water very very hot this song is interesting quirky and great lyrics are very good. Hero - 5 stars Obviously if your a Regina fan then you've notice thhis song get very popular lately because of the new movie 500 Days of Summer but good solid lyrics and I like how her voive can go into dips of deepness in this song. Bartender - 4 stars not my favorite song I can definetly see why its just a bonus track but its ok still regina spektor so obviously every single one of these songs are good. All in all this is a good album that I highly recommend her quirky voice, touching lyrics, and quite good piano playing are all ingredients for a great album I understand Regina isn't for everyone but I reallyu think you should give her a try and if you don't like it for a good solid factual reason and not from some stupid reason like you hate th cover!

I really don't like any of her songs its just not my kind of music but in the movie narnia they were playing a song called "the Call" by Regina and that is one of my favorites!! You should defintaly look it up!!!! But you have to by the who album to get it...

This is one of my favorite songs because of 3 things 1:Regina Spektor sings it 2:It has a catchy happy beat 3:She doesn't repeat too many verses like alot of singers do now i hate it when a song is almost perfect then when the singer repeats a verse,BAM! It ruins it!!

- What is with you 1 star people???

OK, if you gave this album 1-2 stars you should see a docter. Or maybe just listen to this again. My advice to people who don't understand why people think shes amazing (she is), start with Far (her newest album), go back to Soviet Kitsch (or however you spell it) and then come back to this album. Get used to Far first though, and sometime during that get buildings from 11:11. At first its not that great, but trust me, by the 3rd listen it will be your favorite song. And Regina will be your favorite artist ever.

I went to go see (500) Days of Summer and heard 'Us' and ever since I've been in love. It's so beautiful and the movie was spectacular.

The music in and of itself is nice. Mellow and easy going. Her voice? ho ho ho horrible. Sounds way to soft and Holds no weight. It's sprechgesang... Introduced by Arnold Schoenberg in the 1900's. I'm not knocking the art form of the singing style. Just Regina's voice is just that annoying. This is just my opinion.

- I'm a very hardcore fan of Regina Spektor

But I still like it. The sound isn't as different, it just isn't as acoustic. This comes from a guy whose favorite album of hers is Songs. Fidelity: 10/10: I love this one. It's an instant classic. It's catchy. Better: 6/10: I don't like this one that much. I like the piano and voice version much better. Samson: 9/10: It's great, but the Songs version much better. It's slower and more acoustic on Songs. On the Radio:9/10: It has that Fidelity type catchiness. Field Below: 10/10: It's very pretty. That's all I can say. Hotel Song: 10/10: I didn't like it at first. But it's great. It's such a happy, bouncy, fast song for such dark lyrics. Apres Moi: 10/10: Beautiful... Instant classic. It's very classically influence. 20 Years of Snow: 10/10: My favorite on the album. Beautiful, you can definitely feel that she's influenced by chopin. And it has one fast part to make it even better. That Time: 9/10: A better version of Your Honor. It sounds kind of like the Shins. Edit: 8/10: It's ok. A little too repetitive. Lady: 10/10: Another Chopin influenced song. Beautiful. Sounds like it could be off of Songs. Summer in the City: 10/10: Another Chopin influenced song. Beautiful. Sounds like it could be off of Soviet Kitsch. Another Town: 10/10: Acoustic sounding like her first albums. But still very bouncy. Uh-Merica: 10/10: Sounds like it could be off of Soviet Kitsch. Love the UH! Baobabs: 10/10: Pretty. Sounds also like Soviet Kitsch. Dusseldorf: 10/10: Sounds also like Soviet Kitsch. And it says Soviet Kitsch. Maybe these songs were supposed to be on Soviet... Music Box: 10/10: Sounds like Songs! One of my favorites. Hero: 9/10: It's really pretty but it's repetitive. Bartender: 10/10: Sounds like it could be off 11:11. So jazzy!! Overall It's a great album. buy it!

For those who flipped over "Soviet Kitsch", this one will make your head spin! Her voice is like a drug. Ke$ha and Kanye lovers don't know what they're missing... this is what iTunes was created for! My personal favorite is Baobabs. The lyrics are intoxicating and the song swings you through several moods before hitting a smooth, creamy finish. Not only is it a bonus track, but it is one of the better songs I have EVER heard! Kiss FM may not be playing her albums at the moment, but I know that I'll be Spektating for a long time after this album... brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.

Regina is defenitley a very unique person and her songs reflect that. She has a great voice and awesome lyrics. Begin to hope is not my favorite album of hers but that shouldnt stop anyone from buying it. I love all of her albums and she is, without a doubt, one of my favorite singers.

I read about Regina Spektor in a magazine and I did not think she would be this good, but I really enjoy her music! Even though I love the songs, I hate how so many are now $1.29, instead of 99 cents...

What an album! This album is amazing. My first album of hers was What We Saw From the Cheap Seats and I was instantly hooked. This was my next one and I just can't stop listening to it. Each song is so unique and different. the whole album is refreshing after having to listen to the crap that is mainstream music. Regina has got to be one of the most original artists there is right now. Her voice is incredible and it has a wide range and her piano playing is spectacular. This is some of the best music I have listened to. My favorites are Apres Moi, Fidelity, On The Radio and Lady. This is a must buy.

Miss Spektor has created a wonderful album here. This album showcases the first real time she has used other instruments besides the piano (yes, there are some exceptions, but mostly just the ivory keys). Tracks that stand out to this user are "20 Years of Snow," "Apres Moi," and "Hero." I believe that this album may be enjoyed by an incredibly large range of audiences, so please, pick it up.

This song ruined the rest of the songs on my phone because it's soo good. This single song alone doesn't sound like alternative, it sounds like a modern opera right from the heart. No wonder it's my favorite in 500dos.

Wow. This album is getting a lot of air time on my iPod. Heard of RS after watching 500 Days of Summer. If you like women singer-songwriters, then this album won't disappoint. Like the inflection in her voice. Will certainly buy more of her work.

This is just good music plain and simple. She has a gorgeous voice, quirky and meaningful lyrics, cool background noises, and an overall amazing sound. I would give it five stars if it weren't for field below, which is kind of boring I hate to say. Hotel song is the highlight in my opinion, it's almost perfect, so catchy and upbeat yet also tells a powerful story. Love you Regina keep singing!
