This is the BEST pop/r&b records that I've ever heard, and I've listened to a lot of them. Mariah's vocals here were perfection as it was her prime. I bought this album because I never really knew Mariah's music, my friend actually intrudoced me to her music, and boy do I love her now! I recommend everyone to listen to this album as well as Butterfly, another album of hers, as that is just as perfect as this one is.

I've loved Mariah Carey since her first album came out. I was 4, but I've always been attracted to Mariah. When this album came out, I was 9, and it easily became my favorite cd of hers. She's just so talented and beautiful. And yes, I'd fight Nick for her. He hasn't seen Wild n' Out yet!!! Just kidding…sort of.

I hope Mariah will take a look at what she has done and do a reboot/restart of this album, or something like that. Easy listening, great music and vocals.

I still remember back in 1995, i was 15 y.o when this album came out later that year. Fantasy, Open Arms, Looking in, melt away, always be my baby, when i saw you, forever is still awesoommmeee! One sweet day is still one of the best duet ever. During those days there were no youtube, tablets, smartphones and so on.. only MTV and music station radio... good old memories... ❤️❤️❤️ MUST BUY ALBUM

daydream is one of my absolute favorites from mariah carey. everything in this album is too perfect from mariah’s sweet vocals to the strength of her songwriting, best of all time although i do wish that i was born earlier to experience this during 1995 (15 year old lamb)

This is one my favorite albums to listen to, the one thing I love about the album is in ability to push Carey into the R&B/Hip Hop world without leaving her mainstream fans astray. The bumping rhythm of Fantasy is one of which all radio formats love, while forever keeps the adult contemporary in the genetics of her album. Without daydream Carey couldn't slide into the music that best suited her voice, R&B

I absolutely love everyone of Mariah's albums, but this one is just the best. It's such a masterpiece.

Mariah Carey's Daydream album is definitly her best work. It is the perfect mix of ballads and uptempo songs. In my opinion, "Fantasy" is the best song on this album and one of the best in her whole carrier because it incorporates her amazing vocal ability and still appeals to all audiences with a great track and lyrics. Some of my other favorites from this album are "Underneath the Stars," "Forever," "Looking In," "Daydream Interlude," and "Always Be My Baby." Another feature this album includes is a clear theme of the mysteries of love reflected on dreams and questioning what is real and what is not. Truly perfection.

Daydream is a complete masterpiece from start to finish. Daydream had hits like One Sweet Day, Fantasy and Always be My Baby. All of the songs here are excellent in there own way. Melt Away and Forever are just awesome songs to listen to. This is a must have for any music lover.

Not only is the best Mariah Carey album, but is one of the best albums in pop music period - a must-have album. The album can only be reviewed track by track for me because it made me appreciate music - that's how much of an impact it had on me as a listener. Fantasy - perfect pop song that all subsequent songs she did were measured against; what's not to love? Great remix/mashup of a catchy 80s jam, a sliding vocal that goes all over the place but still keeps it human, and breakdown that gives us a break long enough to appreciate the finale even more. She never got any closer to pop music domination than here. The Diddy Remix with ODB is worth a listen if you like it a little grittier. Underneath the Stars - a 180 from "Fantasy," this one grabs your attention because Mariah isn't trying to impress anyone but her lover and man, is this one sexy without saying naughty One Sweet Day - the best duet of all time, what else is there to say? Open Arms - don't care what critics say, this is a fantastic cover of the Journey classic Always Be My Baby - the OTHER perfect pop song from Daydream, this one isn't as showy as "Fantasy," but is just as easy to love and it brings good vibes to anyone who hears it I Am Free - where things (finally?) start to seem that they can't be absolutely perfect, "I Am Free" is a gospel-tinged ballad that is great but just a bit cheesy lyrically When I Saw You - bring on the cheese wiz! This is the weakest song on the album, but some people love this version of Mariah. I personally find it a fabricated version of Carey, but whatever floats your boat. Long Ago - super sexy and just as slinky as anything Janet or TLC was putting out around this time Melt Away - if you like to escape into another dimension with dreamy lyrics, vocals, and sound "Melt Away" is your jam! Easily one of my favorite MC tracks Forever - while just a lyrically cheesy as 2 other songs on the album (Free and When I Saw You), "Forever" at least completely changes it up with a country-tinged sound and timeless execution Daydream Interlude - this is the laid back, nightclub version of "Fantasy" - probably the most upbeat song of Carey's career. While I like it, they cannot be compared to one another. Looking In - A quiet, introspective song, "Looking In" proved Carey could be vulnerable and not be trying to sell you something. This is her being real and raw - I love it, even if it is a little depressing. Sadly, "Slipping Away" and the ODB "Fantasy Remix" were left out of this album or it would be perfect!

This is my absolute favorite Mariah Carey album. Out of all the albums to date, her voice is so instrumental in Daydream in my opinion. If only she would team up with Walter again, rid of their differences and go back to what she used to do. I can’t name any album, Mariah or non-Mariah, that I can listen to from beginning to end, and be in love with.

“One Sweet Day” played at my cousin’s vigils. He passed away in 2016 from pneumonia. My brothers and cousins would always play and sing the song “Always Be My Baby” to me when I wasn’t even a month old. I remember the days when I wasn’t even a year old. I miss the oldschoolriah and the days when I was little!

My favourite album!

Mariah knew she was onto something special with this album . She was truly before her time with some of the songs on here. Highlights are - Fantasy, Underneath the stars, When I saw you and Melt away. Anyone should have this in their collection . It will ba a collector's item 20 years from now .

Literally, you can't put a price on this album. I don't know how she came up with these songs in such melismatic tunes. Twenty years on and we're still partying New Years Eve with "Fantasy" :P

This is one of Mariah's best records. If you buy one song, make sure it's 'Looking In', the final track, which is an amazing ballad with great lyrics and my favourite song that Mariah has ever released. The rest of the album is great too, apart from the singles which most people know, the stand-out tracks are 'When I Saw You', 'Open Arms' and 'I Am Free'. This record has a great blend of ballads and up-tempo R'n'B. It's definitely worth a listen.

This is Mariah's biggest selling album in the USA, and it is easy to see why! From the brilliant dance of Fantasy to the smooth, sleek R&B of Looking In, this is absolutely brilliant, ranking as one of Mariah's best.

I have to say I absolutely love all Mariah's songs in this album, and the tone of her voice, is just so mesmerising. My favourite songs out of this album is Looking In, When I Saw You, Always Be My Baby and Melt Away. I also like this album as she has more control over the musical direction, and to be honest the fact that she puts in RnB and ballads, makes it priceless and unbeatable. This is my favourite album, and this Mariah Carey's best!
