I love Dan Hartman, but Vertigo /Relight My Fire is devoid of the lead vocals. What's up with that? I want my money back.

I-Tunes come on!!!! How is it possible that the original version of "I Can Dream About You", arguably Dan Hartman's biggest hit, not be on here???? This remix is crap.

What a disappointment from I-tunes! All I wanted to buy was "Relight My Fire," by Dan Hartman, but in order to get the song, I either have to purchase the entire album, or get a cheesy remake by a cover band. I too, am getting sick and tired of this nonsense by I-Tunes!!!! This is happening more and more, and I don't know why.

WHAT is up with the crappy remix of 'I can dream about you?' It's perfect the way it was. Thank God I have the original.

I like this collection, it includes We Are The Young, his remake of Free Ride that he wrote and sung with the Edgar Winter Group in 1973 and his own version of Living in America that he wrote for James Brown for Rocky IV. Vertigo/Relight My Fire and Countdown/This Is It are the original uncut versions from the late 70's when he was king of the dance floor. Instant Replay is good too.

The fire went out with that HORRIBLE remix of 'I Can Dream About You'. Normally, for 99 cents, if the song isn't what I wanted, I shrug and say 'Oh well'. But this time, I really wish I had spent my dollar somewhere else. More disappointing is the fact that the original 'I Can Dream About You' (Single) isn't available on iTunes. Probably not iTunes' fault... I'd be looking more towards SONY-BMG for that problem.

The old reviews I'm reading here show just how critical these people are back then! "I Can Dream About You" is butchered in this dweeby crummy album. It is a deliberate remix to the original song by Dan Hartman. OMG! The old reviews though! LOL!!!! xD.

How did the original "I Can Dream About You" get flushed down the toilet and then piped back onto itunes as this crap?

I think if Dan were alive today, he'd be deeply disappointed that "I Can Dream About You", arguably his biggest hit, was being butchered like it is on this album.

I agree that Dan Hartman should have a much more in detail Compilation released...But with that said this comp isn't that bad...and I doubt anything else will be released unless there is a demand...EG

Yet again, another heavily-sought after 80's track misrepresented here in iTunes. Maybe if I took the ten seconds to read the first review on this page, I would have saved myself the embarrassment of downloading another unwanted DANCE REMIX. What is wrong with you people? What kind of unsolicited (and UNLABELED) dance remix will I get when I download "O Holy Night"?? I'm getting REALLY fed up with this kind of misdirection.

I decided to write a "current review" for 2013, as the previous reviews are several years old now, and as you folks at ITUNES, STILL haven't seen fit to give the people including myself…what they want! STILL NO VERSION OF "Relight My Fire", featuring the vocals of the late DAN HARTMAN! Darn ITUNES. You think you can manage this before the world ends? sheesh!!!!!!!

You said the entire point of this iTunes exercise was to get some lost albums back into circulation. Well, the albums INSTANT REPLAY and RELIGHT MY FIRE need to be back in circulation. Double them as one release, if you must, but release something better than this peculiar collection before absolutely no one cares either way.

Dan Hartman is one of the greatest songwriters and singers of the late 20th century and yet he is sadly little known by the general public - he's well known within certain circles. He's the guy responsible for writing and singing (while a member of Edgar Winter Group in the late 60's) Free Ride. He is the guy responsible for all Loleeta Holloway's hits. He wrote and recorded two of the biggest dance records ever recorded: Instant Replay and Vertigo/Relight My Fire He is best known probably for the 1987 hit "I Can Dream About You". However, he continued to record cutting edge music up until his untimely death from AIDS in 1994. His last album is a New Age album that is incredible! This album has some of his biggest hits! It's awesome!

PLEASE GET NORMAL VERSION OF "I CAN DREAM ABOUT YOU". LIKE IN THE VIDEO. I WOULD PREFER THE NORMAL ORIGINAL SINGLE OVER THE VIDEO.

I'm getting a little tired of trying to find my favorite 80's songs only to find covers by unheard of bands or "cutting-room floor" versions by the original artist that were never good enough to see the light of day in the first place. If you can't get the originally released versions, don't pretend to have these songs available. You're 30 second preview of this version doesn't even have any vocals in it. Are you trying to hide the fact that it's not the original recording that everyone actually wants?!? Time to "Cowboy-Up" and grow a pair iTunes!

Would be nice if you could get the original soundtrack to streets of fire out there, also the original version of I can dream about you is available on I Tunes but you kind of have to dig around to find it.

I can't believe that iTunes puts this kind of junk up, and leaves out the good songs people are looking for. Come on, get with the program and get the people what they are looking for!

Just wanted the Vertigo/Relight My Fire song but I had to buy the album. So I did. Disappointed because the Vertigo/Relight My Fire song was the short version. One would think if you are paying for the album for what it costs, you'd get the long version. Not happy about that... 

Dan Hartman was the artist/writer/arranger to beat in the late 70's early 80's with disco in full swing. The Vertigo/relight my fire 11:22 version was not released on any domestic lable but an CBS/SKY import along with another favorite Edgar Winter's Above and Beyond. The majority of Disco Classics were remixed with various versions and some have yet to be released.
