This album simply hands down is the reason I play Drums, Guitar and Bass today. I air drummed to this album every day for well over 2 years. Then learned guitar parts, and played bass to it for another 2. Wore 2 copies of it out! Still have a copy on my I pod, and will download this remastered one. Deep Purple back in the 70s honestly changed my musical life, and this is as current and radically present now, as it was then. I was ecstatic when they (and YES) were inducted into the R&R HOF......They were all really ahead of their time..What took so long! Download it....you will love it! K

Man,deep purple is great. Every member is giving the crowd 150%for the whole 20 minutes. Just got back from a DP show in Toronto! Deep purple was one of kind and we'll never see one like them again for along time. So put this album in crank it up and Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide!!!!!!!! (And why is Madonna ,yes Madonna in the rock n roll hall of fame while deep purple is still shunned!?!)

I remember working at a car wash as a kid first pay ran right to a store called Leons yes back thenn they sold music,cost me $12.00 for the double album brought that baby home a drove my parents crazy all they kept saying is turn that head banging music down lol I loved it then & I love it now. BTW I still have the album tucked away and yes still listen to it

Made in Japan is a double live album by English rock band Deep Purple,recored during their first tour of Japan in August 1972.It was originally released in December 1972,with a U.S. release in April 1973

For those who remember Rock Machine (a/k/a Indus Creed) and Ranjit Barot at Rang Bhavan - this is some of the must-have stuff we all grew up on boss!!! Can't not have it...

Looking at the cover way back in the 70's when the songs were playing. The huge Marshall amp. stacks -- the Fender Strat. that Blackmore soloed on. One could only imagine how amazing that concert must have been -- I wish i was there.

I remember this album well when i was a youngster . . . loved Deep Purple. Haven't heard it for 30 years and I recalled instantly why i loved it then. Raw, spontaneous, and intense . . . these guys were into it and evidently enjoying every moment. 20 minutes of Space Truckin' . . . what more could someone ask for!
