I LUV THIS ALBUM

This is great album, although there are others of hers I like more. What I wanted to point out to fans is that this iTunes version is not the same as the original album, nor is it the same as the compact disc 2001 reissue. The version of Holiday, as many have mentioned, is the version used on the Immaculate Collection. That said, its around 15 seconds shorter than the version on Immaculate Collection (it fades out sooner). So if you are looking for a remastered version of the edit, here you go. The second difference, and I didn't see that anyone else caught this, Borderline is the Extended Dance Mix, clocking in at nearly 7 minutes. The original album version is only 5:21, and the Immaculate Collection/Celebration version is less than 4 minutes long. I believe the only other way to get this version is to find the compact disc single or the vinyl single. So, at the very least, die hard fans should buy these two tracks. Borderline was Madonna's first top ten hit, and I think of every song on the album, it aged the best. Its a fantastic song.

This album is what made Madonna "Madonna"! Classic songs like Holiday, Borderline and Lucky Star will never go out if style. Whenever I'm down, this album brings me up. And when I'm about to go out, this album gets me going!!!

Amazing how her sound, voice, evolved over 30 years. Her songs are timeless. Such an icon.

How to bring back Madona....those times never come back. She is unique and hopping the best on having new music coming and reinventing pop one more time.

I downloaded this because I needed it for a party I was DJing, but I noticed one of my favorites "Borderline" was an extended version--I didn't expect this, and wanted the original version, but it is nowhere to be found. Otherwise I would have given this a 5 star rating.

“Track 2 Borderline” is the US Remix and not the original song at all which surprisingly appears on her other album “The immaculate collection”. Was there a mix up in tracks when both these albums we’re uploaded? “Track 5 Holiday” is the wrong version which uses a remix version and not the original 6 minute track. Please change them to the correct songs. Thank you!

I love this album. I have the CD and I am a huge Madonna fan. Unfortunately, my favorite song, "Holiday", is not the original 6-minute version of this 1983 album. This 3:51 version sounds like it's from The Immaculate Collection album, the edited one. What I love about the album version is the intro. This intro is not my favorite. This needs to get fixed! I have iTunes Match and when I upload my Madonna CD, it automatically plays this 3:51 version on my iPhone, iPad, and iPod. Annoying! On a positive note, when I play it in iTunes, the original 6:11 plays. Otherwise, this album is 5 stars to me. Again: Please, fix this.

I just really love this era of her music. It's full of groovy techno beats and catchy lyrics. It overshadows rebel heart after 30 years! Borderline just is my favorite song ever produced!

Warning. Borderline is not the original song and I wasted $1.29. Apple needs to specify when the music is not original. Especially when it's the original album

Madonna's most greatest album with awesome hit songs!

This is the album that started it all. When all her hard work and struggles paid off. Madonna has a unique and special story. It’s always exciting and nice to see how ones hard work pays off. Some might comment how this album isn’t perfect and what not but this was her debut album, so of course it’s gonna have some missing pieces and what not. She had such a great team behind her and her first hits have aged well and still get heavy airplay today. She sounds very youthful and fresh. The world was not ready for what was to come after.

Again why has iTunes changed the version of the songs I had already on my iTunes. This was from a CD that I downloaded to my iTunes - I want the version that I have always know - get off my iTunes list with your changes!!!

If you're looking for the original songs from the original release of this album, keep looking, because this isn't it. It's really frustrating to pay for something and then find out it's not what it claims to be.

Some of the tracks on here are NOT from the original release! “Borderline” on this album is extended while the original album release is not and the Immaculate Collection remix of “Holiday” is featured on this album while the original version of “Holiday” is on the Celebration album. It’s all mixed up. Please review and fix what needs to be fixed iTunes! Thank you.

I am so happy this Itunes issue contains the hard to find 12” extended version of Borderline!/ You won’t find it anywhere else. It is sonically spatial in sound, just like the 7” version that is played on radio and used in the music video./ The original LP version sounded more flat, with less instrumentation./

At first wasn't a fan of Madonna but after listening her song "Holiday" I became an instant fan :) and I'm only 20 :)

I’m slightly disappointed that the versions of Lucky Star, Borderline & Holiday aren’t the original. Not as nostalgic as I was hoping for. Still a great album of course just wish the original album was offered.

perfect 80s music!

I've loved this album since I was eight years old! .... But, iTunes Match has screwed it up with a 3 1/2 minute edit of Holiday! I uploaded the disc to my iTunes years ago and the song is about 6 minutes long! Fix it iTunes! Don't mess with my Madonna collection!

Every single song on here is a gem. I love this album and it's easily her best or second best album, you can't go wrong with it!

I've been a Madonna fan for many years. I've been hooked ever since I heard "Holiday". Even for those who were fans from the start, I don't think anyone was prepared for what was to come. Standout tracks for me are Burning Up, Lucky Star and of course, Holiday. I wish that she would work with John "Jellybean" Benitez again.

I LOVE the album, don't get me wrong... but I'm backing up @amedeo29 i saw that 2 of her songs got edited, Borderline being the most recent only a couple months ago. Borderline is one of my favs on the album but now its a little long... I dont get why i couldnt have kept the original version that i BOUGHT :(

Unapologetic in burning up to being a victim of love in borderline to flirty in lucky star. Madonna displays her energy and songwriting in its finest form. I love the song, but it has been modified and not very happy about the editing! I love the original! It would be nice to know that it was enhanced!

I don't know why this is happening, but the version of Holiday on this download sounds like the remixed edit available on the Immaculate Collection which was released in 1990. And speaking of the Immaculate Collection, that track list has been altered from the original release as well. I'm not sure why this is happening on iTunes, but I just wanted to point this out. This is a great album and I love all the songs. It's a shame that the track listing has been changed.
