Her image is unrepentently raunchy and (in her words) "ratchet," but without ever being cheap or banal, instead transcending the implications of these superfluous labels and manifesting something much more fantastical and outrageous - the bewitching ethereal chimera of your most exotic and perverse dreams. To compare her aesthetic to that of Lady Gaga or Bjork would be uninspired and simplistic – Brooke Candy is more like an entire Cirque De Soleil production combined with the flair of a soft-core BDSM pornographic film directed by the sublime and deviant mind of Bryan Fuller (NBC's "Hannibal").
Her voice is immediately unique and her flow is seemingly effortless. The cadence and rhythmic patterns in her arsenal may seem familiar or reminiscent of past urban radio hits, but never does she sound derivative or redundant. She’s not your Lil’ Kim or Nicki Minaj or Iggy Azalea – she doesn’t aim for a precise correlation either. However, like all these women, the production of her songs in this EP does blend hip-hop and electro-pop elements to create something that can be enjoyed by both audiences. She even sings on ‘Feel Myself’ and ‘Pop Rock,’ sounding similar to Britney and Sia or Rihanna respectively, but never to the point that she doesn’t sound first and foremost like herself or like she is imitating or sacrificing her own style for the sake of the track. Brooke Candy isn’t a woman in need of classification – she doesn’t need anyone, including me, trying to compartmentalize her or limit her by qualifying her sound, style, or characteristic for her. She refuses to be nailed down to one idea and instead forms her own standards regardless of expectations and does so with a brazen boldness.

I’ve been a fan since early 2013 and I love her so much and I’m so proud that she’s finally on iTunes. I think she’s a rap version of Lady Gaga in a way (Lady Gaga is one of my favorites too and I love how they are alike in some ways). Every song on this EP is amazing in its own way. Godzillionaire and Feel Yourself (Alcohol) are my favorites. I also love how she consistently stands up for gay rights and feminism. She’s just a queen.

It's refreshing and you can really hear her abilities to sing similarly to other artists, such as Britney Spears in Feel Yourself (Alcohol) and Miley Cyrus in Pop Rock. The songs are as great as one another, which is phenomenal. The best songs, in my opinion, are Pop Rock, Feel Yourself and Opulence. You must buy it, it is most definitely worth your money!
