Talented but "i hope Neil Young will remember, a Southern Man don't need him around any how!" Ps. Don't get deported like Justin Bieber..
iTunes is a rip off
Bought this because of the Lincoln-Volt, Neil get it to all EV than I'll buy the Album :-)
This is a talented man
This album introduced me to all of Neil Young's music. After I played this for the 200th time, I bought like 8 of his albums. I swear his music is addicting :D
Two words- The Man
i wish he lived with me!!!!!!
Neil Young....No words to describe the flashbacks and memories of listiening to him...with Crosby Stills & Nash...or...alone. His voice...his songs...WOW...take me back to the days when life was carefree and fun!! Some good "lay around the shanty and put a good buzz on" music!!! O.K.....Nuff Said!!!!
Neil Young's voice and music is what the REAL ROCK & ROLL was and it should be! Thank you Neil! You're the BEST
Where's Cortez?
Absolutely love this song !!!!
Neil Young is what I grew up listening to. Personally, ‘Helpless’ and ‘Comes A Time’ are my favorites. His songs stick with you. What a brilliant guy.
I don’t know how people today can listen to this music. I can’t think of one redeeming quality. Of course I didn’t like it in the 80”s. I think this whole Spotify thing was just to gin up more money for him. Pathetic
Fantastic Songs.
People are only buying this for political reasons JOKE get a life people Joe Rohan will always top these snowflakes!
Love his songs.
Thought this was gonna be like the other groups of the time but didn’t really care for it.
Just purchased some of your music in support of leaving Spotify
Wow-I am so gratified to hear this again. Nothing surpasses this mans talent. Missing the good music due to todays not so good stuff out there. what happened back then- the 70s was the best. That was music- Him along with many others as well.
I’d rather listen to someone take a poo
He said it all! Far out!
Love Neil Young! When I was a teen, I played and sang all the songs from this album, much to the chagrin of my rock and roll brothers! Neil's music helped me through my TOUGH, troubled teenaged years!

Very worth it
This is truly an amazing Compilation.
I love the collection of songs, brings back many fond memories. If you get a chance see Neil and various artists perform at Bridge School Benefit, great show and great cause.
This reminds me of home. Just love Neil Young.
One of the most overrated artists to ever record. Terrible singer, terible guitarist
Brings it all back n perspective
I don't care when a song was written/recorded good music is good music and some of the subject matter is just as prevalent today as it was when it was written, with that being said Neil Young is one of the best in the history of recorded music….Peace Hector V.
Wonderful music...rather dissapointing that you have to buy a whole album to get "Cowgirl in the Sand"...even with Neil it's all about the money...unfortunate.
Neil Young is my favorite singer. Period. He is more real than any other big-time singer I've ever heard of. The beauty of him is that he doesn't sell out to anybody and doesn't even care if there are wrong notes. As flea said about him "the truth isn't always perfect". He plays what he means and he plays from his heart and soul. To be honest though I would have maybe switched a few of The songs on here with others but it's still a great compilation.
Love Neil Young. Great singer songwriter. Worth $7.99 for the album. In fact , best value I've had on iTunes.
Most of what Neil young is talking about was not what the true south was all about. Lynyrd skynyrd is what the south is all about. GO LYNYRD SKYNYRD!
Heydays
aii great songs played by talented musicians.
These are brilliant songs- every one- but most of them (the tracks from the 1970's) are collected in the vastly superior "Decade" set. Sure you gotta pay a little more, but this is not at all a fair reflection of Young's output. Why not simply continue with the Decade concept and provide overviews of the artist's output from the 80's and 90's? This approach misses SO much great music, leaning as heavily as it does on music which has, frankly, been anthologized to death. I understand the "Greatest Hits" concept, but isn't this approach precisely antithetical to what Young has represented in the music industry for his carreer? And, incidentally, the review provided above by iTunes is TERRIBLE. Badly written and just wrong in most of it's characterizations of the content.
Nothing takes me to that sacred place like Harvest Moon
The modern listener will wonder how these almost child like lyrics and voice ever became iconic. Best suited for nostalgia seekers.
I'm not a big fan of his but "Harvest Moon" is a beautiful song with great lyrics and a moving performance. I'll listen to more of his earlier stuff for a better appreciation of his body of work.
To all the northern people neilyoung hates southern ppl.
Doesn't matter which way the wind hits your face, North or South, this is good American Music. Rock On.
This is a great collection of Neil’s songs, including a few from his time in CSNY. They range from the late 60’s to the early 90’s. Although, as with any collection like this, some will complain about the omissions (“Powderfinger” is one of my favorites, and is absent), the songs chosen are all strong and worthy of inclusion. Neil wisely focused on the 70’s, his strongest period, instead of trying to just peddle his entire LP collection. I also like that the album is generally chronological. You can really see that Neil’s style has changed quite a bit with the times (or ahead of them), but he remained talented throughout.
All songs are marked as from 1968, but this is incorrect. For instance, Keep on Rockin in the Free World is from 1989.
the ONLY thing-that it would be better if he had formed a band and let someone else sing his song, even though i'm a guy who doesn't care about the voice much. still great job
These are the songs that made me a fan. I know some fans love decade and so on. I understand that. I own those wonderful albums. But! I still play this one before those, unless of other circumstances.
Following his true self and remaining in line with his beliefs to this day, there is a reason he is charting #4 on the album charts in 2022. His influence and music will live on far beyond us to touch people in future generations. Beyond blessed to experience him while he is here.
I say that not for this album but for Neil Young. He gave an edge to CSN and to this day writes relevant music. From 'Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere' through his whole career...'hey,hey,my, my' may be the definitive r&r song.
I luv neil young. I saw him in Detroit @ the fox. When is he commin back 2 Michigan? He rocks!
