I never really listened to Mac Miller’s music but I know no one deserves to die at age 26( I have started to listen to his old music and this album. Wow. Mac Miller truly had amazing work)

Swimming is a project that, at the very least, made it abundantly clear where Mac’s head was at. At face value the album appears to be sad and toned down. Swimming, however, is actually the complete opposite. Mac very calmly touches on his successes in and outside the studio. He also talks about his fears and struggles and how they helped him become who he was. Swimming is one of his most cohesive projects to date. This could be due to the outstanding production, which was primarily handled by Larry Fisherman himself. This album has something for everyone. But to some, this album could be everything. I couldn’t stress the importance of hearing this album enough. Phenomenal piece of art.

this album will be one of my all time favorites along with other Mac projects. but Swimming brought joy back into my life like not many albums have done and Mac was one of the artists who made me feel connected with their work. Rest In Peace to one of the greatest ever

I only had dabbled in Macs music before he passed away and have fallen in love with how vulnerable he made himself in this album. The whole album is gold. I hope he is nominated for a Grammy. RIP Malcolm ❤️

Taken me a while to comprehend the news. Those that are close to me know what Mac Miller meant to me. I probably introduced most of those friends and family members to his music after I happened to stumble on his KIDS mixtape and other home recordings (w/ Bill Niels/Bill Waves) in 2009-2010 on YouTube before he was known outside of Pittsburgh. There are times in your life where you come across a musician, brand, entrepreneur, or mentor that for whatever reason they just make sense to you and what they are doing is unique and completely innovative and no matter what you do to try to avoid it has your full attention and interest. We call these people influencers, idols, or heros. Mac to me; even though he was almost a decade younger was all of these things. He was a trend setter and was always true himself w/ his style, his friends, his family, and his fans. My wife and I were introduced as a couple at our wedding to BDE Bonus for obvious reasons. It was the best day ever for us. I can’t help but get upset watching the music video and seeing Mac as a kid abt the same age as my own son and not thinking about his parents, his brother, his close friends, and all of those people that knew him as Malcolm James McCormick. We lost a trend setter, rapper, musician, tv star, idol, hero...but they have lost a son, brother, friend, business partner. Every year I realize more and more how precious life is. Take advantage of your time on earth, make the most of it with your family, with friends and loved ones. It can be gone in a second and you never know when it’s coming. RIP Mac, I am sad we won’t get to see your next move and continued evolution and progress as an artist and a musician. It seems you had finally found who you wanted to be as an artist and your peers and fans alike finally understood your concept (on Kool Aid n Frozen Pizza you said “not yet, they can’t understand my concept”). Swimming was the epitome of everything Mac was striving for by perfecting his craft in the studio. Nobody outworked him and it shows on this album. It is one of the most complete albums in decades. Anyone who disagrees or doesn’t have him or this album on their top 10 is a racist.

To be honest I haven't listend to Mac in awhile but his death made me look back into his music and wow. This album was something so new and different everything flowed and bumped. He hadn't even hit his peak... rip man. Not sure when we will ever recover from losing you. At least your music can live forever with us here.

i don’t think there’s even a way to describe how truly amazing this album is. ive cried, danced, and sung my heart out to almost every song. my absolute favorite on the album is small worlds, but a close second would be dunno. rip legend, we miss you.

Look, I slept on this guy for years. I thought he was a frat boy poppy hip-hop artist. I got this album ran it through to give him a shot on a flight to Seattle when it came out and WOW was I wrong....sadly shortly after news broke that he was gone from this world...? Mac's "Self-Care" became that much more important to me to run through, then on yet another flight from Columbia, SC I stumbled onto Dunno...those words "I think I am gonna be alright" just testifies for the need to see the brighter days and recover. Dont sleep on this song. Overall a phenominal album that I can run through from start to finish, his complete transformation on this album made me buy up all his music and man I have not been disappointed. RIP MAC MILLER. Way to soon.

It’s a great album, & due to his struggles & how public they became & him being honest & Open with his Lyrics about his struggles n especially the Why part is what other people going through similar situations will relate to n feel like someone relates which might help them during a time while they are suffering a deep Depression..... & the outcome of his life I would imagine will save lives because people will see the potential real dangers they are in when mixing as much stuff as he did n People can actually see how much the lose of his life affected so many ppl when he felt so low in his depression so it hopefully remind anyone that if u go so many people will have to deal with that awful burden n sadness n u never want to push ur suffering onto other by taking ur life ...so always remember that is the worst thing to do n it could be hard to realize that while being in/ or going through a deep state /or depressive episode of depression

Mac is entirely underrated. His music started out as fun and you slowly saw how he changed as an artist and as a person in his music. The though of never hearing new music from him again is truly saddening. Still can’t believe he’s gone. Loving person, talented at the highest degree, one of the greatest artist ever. Biggest fan always. Rest easy Mac, gone but NEVER forgotten.
