i usually don't like 80's music like this, but i have to admit: 'wake me up before you go-go' is totally worth the money! it'll be stuck in your head all day. && that's a promise :]

i've been listening to this cd since it came out, and i have been in love with each and every song for over 20 years. "careless whisper" is my favorite on the cd, and my #1 favorite song! trust me, this cd is upbeat and is still download worthy-the whole thing! i dare you not to dance and sing along. :)

Okay so not every song on this album is great, but Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go is one of the most catchy pop songs ever written. It's a song that even gets sung in my highschool, despite the fact that it's old. Buy this song at least.

Seeing this CD brings me right back to the days in 4th grade when I kept this tape in my desk at school and brought it often to make the other girls jealous because we all had crushes on George Michael! I love Careless Whisper, and Wake Me Up is one of the best songs of the 80s. Yea!!!

This album was pretty good, especially "Freedom," but cannot compare to Fantastic, which was phenomenally fun!!

Wham Is awesome! Evean for a 10 year old girl in 2007! The first time I heard them was on the radio singing Last Christmas! I love Wham! Plus George Micheal is soooooo cute!

Wow... you DEFINITELY can't go wrong with the first and last tracks. Small wonder they were so popular. While I agree that some of these songs are filler (Credit Card Baby in particlar), I wouldn't say that about Heartbeat. I think it's a lovely, underappreciated little gem.

im getting a car soon. so my friend and i decided that we were going to make a cd of fun and fantastical songs to listen 2. we went searching and what do u know.....wham!! we found the song "wake me up b4 you go-go"! i was like "this is the song"!! i can't wait to play it in my car lol. but otherwise if u don't have this album yet, just go 4 it!

basically numero uno on this album is the best thing ever written in the history of mankind. joking but its pretty close.

I have been listening to this album for more than 20 yrs and I still love it. When I was a kid I bet everyone that Careless whisper would still be a hit when we grew up and that it would be my wedding song.. Of course I was right. 20 yrs later this album is still great. Careless whisper is one of the best songs Ive ever heard and is my #2 all time fav. Buy the whole album.. totally worth every penny.

Bubblegummy, yes, but smart. And sexy. And mature. It doesn't get much better than "Careless Whisper." And "Everything She Wants" makes me want to hit the High Street and spend, spend, spend...

Somebody better call the people at Merriam-Webster and tell them to put a picture of “Make it Big” next to pop music, because that is what this album is: the definition of pop music. And here’s why: “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” is one of those paradoxical songs where it is incredibly cheesy to listen to, but it is because of its cheesiness that the song is a hit. (Damn circular logic.) However, I love the transition from teeny-bopper pop to a soft-adult contemporary hit in “Everything She Wants”. “Everything She Wants” not only has meaning, but conviction, as well. The album cools down a bit with “Heartbeat” and “Like a Baby”, but this “filler” does not completely bring the album down. “Freedom” is similar to “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” (in regards to cheesiness) but is still a very decent song to bring the album back up to snuff. Wham!’s rendition of “If You Were There” proves that they (and by they, I mean George Michael) has the voice to cover any song and make it better than the original, and “Credit Card Baby” may be the best non-single song that the band ever produced. And, of course, everybody knows about “Careless Whisper”: the slow tempo, the forlorn lyrics, the stereotypical components of a 1980s music video. I believe this is one of the few songs ever recorded to be absolutely flawless. It shows off human emotions and George Michael’s talent as a musician. What an incredible way to conclude the album. And nearly a quarter century later, it is no wonder that this album is seen as an example to other artists about how to create pop music. It can’t be all heart but it can’t be all head. It has to form a hybrid of the two and do so in perfect harmony. Wham!’s second album not only does this, but makes it look easy in the process. Without a doubt, this would be a perfect fit into anybody’s music collection who loves pop music or (for that matter) music in general. Take it from a pop-music connoisseur: “Make it Big” does live up to its title and is definitely worth the money.

Wham! is an amazing band with colorful songs and unique style. the '80's songs are definitely loved by everyone. They are great dance music too. My compliments to Wham!: you rock!!!!!!

any die-hard '80s British Pop fan would know the members consist of George Michael and Andrew RidgeLEY, not RIDGEWAY. anyway, thought it was my duty to correct that. really good album overall. was about 10 or 11 when it was a hit in the mid 80s. my ultimate favorite is "Freedom". the video is equally as fun. really loved "Careless Whispers" until i saw the video featuring a cheating husband. hated it ever since. i have issues, as you can tell. but still a good song.

George Michael/Wham's uptempo songs are so awesome and great. But he puts out waaay to many ballads. A lot of wasted talent.

a great ablum,deffinetly buy it. i kinda dissagree w/ it being the best ever. this can't compare to the Temptations,Men at Work,or the Grassroots! but it is a great album non the less, deffinetly buy it.
