i really like the soundtrack to LOTR on all 3 movies, but can't itunes make each song on this one available by themselves??? they did it for the other 2 movies.

Just brilliant...I love this album so much. Usually it takes me a couple of times to listen to an album before I like it, but I fell completely in love with this one, as with the other two LOTR soundtracks. Between Howard Shore and Enya...WOW..."May It Be" is absolutely stunning, as well. LOVE THIS ALBUM!!!

Love The Lord of the Rings Trilogy movies and the music is absolutely beautiful, but it stinks that Itunes has to have you buy the whole album, I think it would be great if they changed that. :)

This album is awesome but it's missing a few of the songs or themes. Especially "The Fighting Uruk-Hai"; that's the best song in the entire trilogy. Itunes, please add the missing songs, especially that one please.

This song Just makes you bring all emotions out. It makes you think about your whole life. I love it. I usually listen to heavy metal but there's something about Enya that makes peoples soft sodes come out. Def buy this song.

In my opinion, the best music to go with any movies ever made as well as the best 3 movies ever made. What an unbelievable job Howard shore did. The music could not have been more perfect for the trilogy. Anyone who is a LOTR fan needs to buy the soundtracks

i already bought the cd when the soundtrack originaly came out, but one song has gotten scratched and will not play so i thought, oh i can just buy that one song on itunes, welllll no, you have to buy the whole cd. guess im going another route ;)

Ok, I love this album but we need the Complete Recordings album! Yes there is the Return of the King one, but this movie has the best music and needs all of the musical score to be available to fans. Please ITunes just get us the Fellowship of the Ring Complete Recordings. I'm sure many fans shall agree with me.

A true masterpice. With this score Howard Shore helped bring to life one of the greatest book trillogies ever written. He sets the mood with beautiful motifs and a liberal use of chorus. His most creative theme is probably that of Isengard where he uses chains to form a harsh and metalic backing to a wonderful brass piece. I also like how each track is named after a chapter in the book.

Everybody, you may not be that excited about buying the whole album, but TRUST ME, you want to buy the whole album!! 5 stars. no question

I love the lord of the rings soundtracks and the fellowship of the ring is my favorite it's the best one out of all the soundtracks and is also in my opinion the best of the movies and books. Howard Lowe is a genius and I can't wait to grab the hobbit soundtracks when they come out.

I love the music, this is one of my favorite movies. But why I just get one song? I wanted a single song so I had to buy the whole album. Also I think the album art should be different.

Look, The Lord of the Ring soundtracks are my all time favorites, but I'm a little angry that I have to buy the whole album. I love Howard Shore but really all I wanted were a few songs that haven't been added yet. I really hope they switch over to being able to buy single songs. I know I'm not the only one annoyed by this...

I love love Enya and wish the wouldve singled up the songs because i just wanted "May It Be" and "The Council of Elrond" also by her... i havent purchased them hoping that they will single them up one day but very relaxing music :D

I just saw all three movies and they were soooooo awesome. All the battles were so epic especially in the third movie. My favorite charactors are Merry,Pippin ,Frodo ,Sam,Aragorn,Legulus,and Gimlie. I LOVE LORD OF THE RINGS. :)

Howard Shore really surpassed himself when he wrote this soundtrack. It's an absolute masterpiece. The music is breathtaking and expresses every emotion perfectly in the movie. Even if you don't normally listen to movie soundtracks, trust me, this one is worth buying.

All three lord of the rings albums are beautiful and inspriring.

I reccommend this album to any LOTR fans b/c it is amazing. I only listen to soundtracks and this is my favorite. If you like this, you might also like POTC or Stardust or Eragon. Yeah, good music.

as good as the music is for the lord of the rings, i don't wqant the whole album, much less can my meager budet for itunes afford that.

I like LOTR, but I'm not a fanatic. I like a few songs, but DON'T wanna buy all of them! They should be available separately!

Why is this only available as a whole album? I like the music, but I don't like it that much, especially when the songs from The Two Towers and Return of the King are available for individual purchase. Itunes is probably losing money by not selling them individually, as I know I would buy some of them if they were available for individual pruchase.

This album fantastic. Howard Shore really outdid himself writing these songs! The best ones are Concerning Hobbits, Many Meetings, and The Breaking of the Fellowship. A must have for any LOTR fan!!!!!!

The music is awesome, but it is really lame we have to buy the whole album. 

My gosh! This is a wonderful album of beautiful music. For his work on this film, Howard Shore brought back his first gold statuette! The Council of Elrond is beautiful, while A Knife in the Dark is terrifying, and the Bridge of Khazad-Dum is gripping. Glorious.

Okay, I must admit, I've never seen Lord of the Rings, but we're playing the songs in band and the music is fantastic! The style of it is great and it makes me want to see the movie!

I bought this after I had seen The Fellowship, but before two towers. I love every song, so worth buying entire album. My favorites are: May it be, Aniron (council of Elrond), Concerning Hobbits, the Great River, and the Bridge of Kahzad Dum. I am soon going to purchase the two towers sound track, and after I finish watching return of the king I am gonna buy the complete recording. One moRE thing: PLEASE GET COMPLETE RECORDINGS FOR THE FELLOWSHIP AND THE TWO TOWERS!!!

Despite the title I put...this may not be the best score ever. However I am sure It will become a classic. Anyway, This score is amazing it is about time that itunes got these on here. This is the most moving of all the three soundtracks. It goes from cheery to dark to mystical to sadness to beauty. You will find all you need to find on these tracks. This soundtrack is Howard's best work!! The movie is the best movie ever made!! If you like Lotr or music BUY THIS NOW!!! You will not regret it!

Why isn't IN DREAMS included in the soundtrack? It comes on right after the Enya song on the movie's running credits. Is one of the best tracks on it and i can't find it anywhere. Does any one know where I can get it?

I have this album, but there is ONE song that is corrupt, but I can't replace that song because I don't know where the physical copy is, so i'm pretty much screwed. Please make it so you can buy individual songs, iTunes!

I have found that a lot of the soundtracks on iTunes are album only. I figure it might be that way because usually, when you see a film, there are those one or two songs that really stand out to you, and often there aren't necessarily more than that for most films, so I think iTunes makes a lot of the soundtacks album only because they know most people wont be willing to purchase a soundtrack album as a whole. Basically, they make it to if you want a song pretty bad, you have to buy the whole album.

This album is the first soundtrack I ever bought. Once I got this album I got into soundtracks. Howard Shore has beautiful music when he did the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I recommend this album to anyone who loves soundtracks as much as I do.

Definitely created a sound for the series right away. Very memorable chord changes to start of the film and prepare you to enter a world very much related to each other and very unique to itself.
