i think the CD is cute but..I think it can be a whole lot better if they were a little more Clubb-ish. Dance remixes, really up the tempo..Or maybe just stick to doing Drags..Just saying..

don't waste your money

Bring it!! This album has many hits ready for the summer. Glamazon, Superstar, Click Clack, Bring the Beat, This is the Beginning, are all poised to become club hits, if not top 40 (thanks to the popularity of Drag Race), and I'm glad there is a pop record out now that isn't overusing auto-tune. Great listen, great time. Great workout music that will inspire you to push just a little bit harder, and smile while you do so!!

RuPaul is Great!!! The songs on this cd are great Very Catchy. I walk around singing Champion & Superstar all the time!

RuPaul, I love you, and I love the Drag Race... but ALL your music sounds the same and isn't that memorable or catchy.

What can I say, I didn't think Ru would be able to follow up her Champion album, which provided so many modern "classics" (of course, hearing them weekly on Drag Race, the best reality competition show on television, didn't hurt!). But I am blown away by Glamazon. It's full of catchy, fun music, and the production team of RuPaul and Lucian just keeps getting tighter and tighter. Each album sounds better than the last. I absolute adore Click Clack, I Bring the Beat, and of course the title track Glamazon. Also loving Responsitrannity which has elements that feel like a mashup of Video Killed the Radio Star and Daft Punk's Digital Love (at one point I always wanna sing "why don't you play the gaaaaame!"). If you don't like this album, it simply means you're incapable of just letting go of all your pretenses and just enjoy the music for what it is - fun, sometimes campy, always catchy, dance music. Love this album and I love RuPaul! All she gives is positivity, and to me that's all she deserves!

Sorry this wasn't as good as the last album, Champion. I guess that was the reason none of these songs were featured on drag race 3 ( except for superstar).

I have all of RuPaul's albums and absolutely love each and every one of them. This latest offering from my favorite ladyboy is incredible, with every single track demanding repeated plays. Combining a powerful voice, hot dance beats and lyrics that refresh my soul, this has to be one of the best offerings in my current collection. Buy it, play it, dance to it and you can thank me with a cocktail later! :)

Honestly I love the album - I do, HOWEVER Where is the theme to "Drag U" That Ru and Pandora Boxx said was to be on the "New Album" during the final episode of RuPaul's Drag U Season 1????????? It is a bit of a let down to see how they plugged that song a few times in the episode and not have it on the cd.... Hope to see it soon tho! Keep up the great work Ru - This is without a doubt one of the best albums yet!

I'm just amazed at the consistency of the album, I've only listened to the 1:30 clips and think that she/he has a real winner here. Will purchase now. After playing the album about 6 or 7 times, every song is really very good except "I Bring the Beat". I really love tracks 1, 3, 5-10 with "Superstar' & "If I Dream" being the stand outs. "Live Forever' & "Get Your Rebel On" are very good as well. Does anybody else hear the Buggles-"Video Killed The Radio Star" in the track "Responsitrannity"?

I have been listening to RuPaul's music since I was seven or eight years old and I am now 27. Love this CD. I do feel like I have my favorites on here but I can still listen to the album all the way through without skipping at times.

For the haters, stop wasting time. Album is great! Don't listen to the negativity and bad reviews, people are jealous a guy can be a better women then they'll ever have. Talent is surpassed here. Ru built his empire on his own and has the talent to do what he wants... 5 stars all the way.

I was 17 when Supermodel came out.....and I'm still jamming to Ru Paul....and this one was worth the wait!!

This album is empowering and fun at the same time. I am so glad I discovered this gem because I was def missing out.

Definately NOT as good as Champion but still a good dance, motivation album via Ru. For anyone who loves Ru's music this a must buy. Single stand outs are "Glamazon", "Get Your Rebel On" and "Around Again"

Ru breaks it down and whips it out with this fantastic masterpiece of fun and frolic songs on Glamazon. Ru has hit his stride with pumping out kick'in songs to get you up to party. Can't wait to see the over the top videos for this songs! Fantastic!

Having been a huge fan of RuPaul's since the release of her album "Foxy Lady" in the late 90's, I can happily say that time has not tarnished the glamorized finished of Miss Charles. "Glamazon" finds RuPaul returning to her dance roots, with a glittering set of new songs that finds RuPaul's songwriting skills at its finest. From the anthemic opener "The Beginning" to the encore dazzler "If I Dream", these songs simply the finest collection that Ru has ever released. Not a clunker in the bunch! Mr. Paine's production perfectly matches Ru's delivery, these two were made to to work together and you can see the inspiration in the final product. Definately check out this set out.

Wow! This album is the best one yet! Ru sounds amazing and the production of each song is right on the money! Definitely worth it! RuPaul and Lucian Piane continually push Pop to the next level and are such a monumental staple to a world of music! Bought it the moment it came out and haven't stopped playing yet! I bring the beat! Yes ma'am! Werk! Worth the wait!

With Vocoder in tow, Rupaul Charles comes back on the scene with her fifth studio album, Glamazon. Produced with Lucian Paine, who not only produced Ru's last big club hit,Cover Girl, he also made a guest appearance on an episode from Rupauls wildly successful drag competition show "Rupauls Drag Race," season 3. Rupaul gives us 10 very tightly produced dance pop tracks. What I notice here that isnt always present in today's dance music is sweet melody. Rupaul breathes soul into these dance tracks. On the other hand, I also notice that this album is missing a strong signature Rupaul track, you know the one that usually ends up a Billboard #1 Dance/Club play track...ie: Supermodel, Cover Girl, Snapshot or Looking Good. Nonetheless, we get a solid album of great dance pop tracks. Here is a quick run down of each track. 1. The Beginning - Hot club track and one of the best songs on the album opens the record. Maybe this is the "Supermodel" of this era. 2. Click Clack - My least fave track on the album, its like Black eyed peas meets lil kims jump off. Sticks out like a sore thumb. 3. Glamazon - This is another hot track on the album and sounds like a sister to Ke$ha's, Tic Toc or Britney's Till the World Ends. 4. I Bring The Beat - Old School 80's hip hop meets 2011 electronic beats in the vein of Black Eyed Peas. Great Track! 5. Superstar - First mid-tempo track on the album, Has an old school 80's r&b disco jam. Was prominently featured on an episode of Rupauls Drag Race, Season 3. Its catchy but not a fave. 6. Responsitrannity - Hate the name; the track on the other hand is a hot 80's dance track meets Daft Punk. 7. Live Forever - Remember the 90's?! The era Rupaul comes from can't be so bad. This track could come right out of Rupauls first album, Supermodel of the World, and has a sound similar to Livin Joy's "Dreamer." 8. Get Your Rebel On - Dark synthy dance track, with empowering lyrics. 9. Here it Comes Around Again - Rupauls voice sounds beautiful on this dreamy 80's sounding synth pop track meets Madonna's "Sorry". 10. If I Dream - Another 90's sounding club gem and one of the best tracks on the album. If you only want to download a couple tracks to sample, I recommend: 1. The Beginning 2. Glamazon Thanks! A
