my favourite bowie record for sure. my favourites are cracked actor, the prettiest star, and lady grinning soul. his makeup on the cover is also very beautiful. wonderful record

As a 14 year old listening to this album - I was blown away and awakened to the possibility of music. Mike Garson’s keyboard playing on Aladdin Sane and Lady Grinning Soul is sublime. Now at close to 62 years old I can still feel the magic of possibility in this album. I still shed a tear at the loss of Bowie - the most exciting, daring, talented artist ever from this country. New rock n rollers listen to this and bow at the genius of David Bowie.

My fav album love the Prettiest Star although i prefer the version with Marc Bolan playing Guitar.

This was the 3rd great album of his golden period, following Hunky Dory and Ziggy Stardust. Mick Ronson on guitar and musical arrangements was absolutely superb, and anything that followed this had some highlights but not anywhere near as good as these.

… that the first album I ever owned was “Aladdin Sane” in 1973. Nearly 50 years later and it still sounds futuristic! David Bowie and the 70’s … what a great era to grow up in!

This represents a culmination of all the ideas within his Ziggy persona. Much more adventurous than ‘Spiders’, it both rocks out and has moments of great tenderness, whilst providing great melodies. A truly great album.

Ziggy went to America: drive-ins parking lots, cheap motels, diners. A new world. And discovered Philly soul. Jazz, rock, cabaret. It's all here. The only flaw is cringe cover of Let's Spend The Night Together. But that's forgivable. It's a great album.

This has to be one of David Bowie's best albums.....harder than 'Ziggy' in some places, though overall more ambitious.......the title track and 'Time' still sound other-worldly even today........razor sharp guitar sound from the late Mick Ronson and avant garde style piano from Milke Garson gives this record its edge over other glam rock records of the 1970's. Awesome!!!
