Just saw Josh sing this on Live with Regis and Kellie. It was so emotional to see the portraits of all of the great entertainers, directors, news anchors, etc that have passed on. You have to hear this rendition to apprecitate Josh Groban's amazing talent! I was in the audience last year on Oprah and had the pleasure to see Josh in person. He is as adorable and polite as he looks. LOVE IT!!!

For those of you questioning WHY they are re-releasing this song...it's the last song he is singing for his ENCORE for his current tour. It couldn't be a more appropriate song for his current album, especially if you think about all the sad songs on it and knowing why he wrote them.

I am a fan of Josh Groban and don't get me wrong, but on the soundtrack of Chaplin, Robert Downy Jr. sung this song and it sounded better. Josh's version is just too slow for the lyrics.

This is a great song of course, but this was released in 2006 in a special edition of the awake album. It was an extra track , #16. So when they say it was previously unrealsed it wasnt. I can't fault him from trying to make extra money LOL. Im glad I checked my itunes before I bought it.

As always, Josh does this song the justice it deserves. For anyone confused about the copyright date, this song is the end track to the internet-only fan edition of the "Awake" album, which released in November of 2006.

Smile has been my favorite song for always (I'm 58) and this one by Josh is so depressing. I only heard the sample but it's not good. And it is an awesome song. Has a very good meaning but this one ruins the warm meaning of the song. Sorry Josh.

You people don't get it. Josh Groban really can't be compared to anyone. His voice is so powerful, so controlled, so pure, so clean that he stands in a class of his own. Stop comparing him to other people and just listen to him.

Michael Jackson's version is infinitely times better than this, but I guess Josh Groban holds a light to it vocally. Seems way overdone and showy.

This is the same version of "Smile" that was released on Awake (Internet-Only Limited Edition), hence the 2006 release date. Glad that it's now available to anyone who missed out on that special edition!

This is a lovely rendition of the old classic and Groban knows exactly how to handle it. He has a beautiful voice and this song is a fantastic example of his talents.

Michael Buble's rendition is much better. this version is too depressing.

I have heard this song for many years and performed by many people. I heard Josh Grobin, perform this song today, live on the "Regis & Kelly" show. It was not until he performed it today, that I really discovered how beautiful of a song it is, especially when performed by Josh. I had to purchase it immediately..... Good job Josh! The only thing that really hurt was the price of the one song.
