So I have been a Chaka die hard since 1982, have ever album seen her tons of times and at this point I will always remain a fan no matter what she turns out musically. I was so surprised by the second version of the song which has pop radio written all over it . Her vocals are on point as always. Now if they would only give her a chance on the radio, that is my hope. Great song from a great singer celebrating 40 years of making music.

This song has "hit" written all over it. Some of Chaka's surface fans may be caught off guard by this pop sound, because Chaka has never really had a pure pop hit. She's had R&B hits that crossed over to pop, but never a straight-of-the-box, POP produced song. Well Love of a Lifetime may be an exception but ironically, that was a geared to pop, but only charted on the R&B charts. The production is POP/Dance, but Chaka's vocals, as usual, transcend the production. Her voice is on fire, and you can lay any production UNDERNEATH it, and call it whatever genre you choose. Its a hit because of THE VOICE! Enjoy! Best Chaka single release in 20 years!! This song should be in rotation on all pop radio stations!
