It's alright. Doesn't hold a candle to a lot of the bands at that time. The mastering is also not great. It makes the voices sound very tinny, and the rest of the intruments have no power behind them. Musician-ship is great, lyrics are terrible, and the band's themes are nigh-unrelatable for a non-drug user.

Finally.

Ive listened to this album since I was 11 when it came out. It took me decades to chew through the meanings of the songs and im still learning. Tool is one of the best adventures in music. Enjoy falling into the rabbit hole!

Just listen. Enjoy. And use this music to help you accomplish or attain something. This is what Tool is about.

This is easily the best tool album for me personally because the transition tracks are actually cool on this one I’m not a fan of the ones on the albums as much. If you wanna get into tool start here

This is not only Tool’s best work, but easily the greatest album from the 90’s and IMHO my entire lifetime. If you don’t know this masterpiece of music for what it is, I strongly suggest you check it out!

This album ranks right up there as one of the best. I don’t know that you can really classify Tool in a category, as they are just truly talented musicians. This album has some incredible songs, you won’t be disappointed!

You can listen to the beginnings of their evolution into one of the most epic bands ever.

This album is a masterpiece. Tool didn’t have a sophomore slump. Ænima came out hitting hard and still holds up as one of the greatest albums ever made. The weirdness, humor, and insanely good musicianship make this album a must listen. Every song from beginning to end is a masterpiece and the only people ever capable of surpassing this album was Tool themselves with Lateralus and 10,000 Days.
