Modest Mouse is a great band, and this is their best album. I got it and just play the entire thing whenever i want something to listen to. They are all good, but 3rd Planet, Gravity Rides Everything, Paper Thin Wall and Lives are the must have songs.

What an utterly exceptional album. All the songs are different but each fits into the album sublimely. If that's a word. Gravity Rides Everything is one of my favorite songs in the world. It just makes you feel good. This, hands down, is a totally amazing album.

This album is amazing! I would recommend it to anyone. "3rd planet" is the greatest song I've heard in a long time. Modern rock isn't very good anymore, but modest mouse reminds me how rock used to be. You have to buy this album!!!

I was a little dissapointed with this album after hearing the Lonesome Crowded West which is easily my favorite album of all time. This album has it's moments but it feels like it's missing something.

I bought this CD several years ago out of vague curiousity and respect for MM's music videos, but after several dozen run-throughs I must say, there is some great music here. There's a refreshingly wide variety of songs and enough feeling behind the music, instrumental and vocal, to make it really meaningful as well. The guitar is respectable and the lyrics personal, and though admittedly I first found this somewhat out of my genre, with some listening to it easily takes the five star.

This is probably the best album ever. It has awesome songs like Paper Thin Walls, I Came as a Rat, 3rd Planet, Gravity Rides Everything, Tiny Cities Made of Ashes, and an awesome closing song What People Are Made Of. Not to mention every other song on the CD is a hit. The Stars Are Projectors tends to drag a little, but this album just flows together amazingly. I reccomend buying the whole album: its worth it.

This band is good and this album s one of there best. There also good to skate to.

Overall great album. I can listen to a song many times and get nothingout of it, and then come back to it a week later, and hear it in a whole new way. This is one of MM's darker albums, and the ideas of death and afterlife are present and not underdone. Favorite songs: Lives, Wild Pack of Family dogs, Tiny Cities made of ashes, Paper Thin Walls.

This ablum is by far very under-rated. I know it may be impossible to find a bad song by Modest Mouse on account of every single one of them being pure genius. However, this whole album rises above the line and spits in the mainstreams eye with its brilliance. This album is not only good for the old time Modest Mouse fans but also for the new comers who don't really know the true vipe of the mouse. Alone down there just feels me with emotion while Gravity Rides Everything makes even the most emo depressed person see joy in everything around them. I beg that every one please buy this and listen to it over and over again.

This album is perfect in almost every way.

..are there not more then 5 stars? This album is one of the few that is truly a masterpiece and yet it is generally ignored. It is one of the best albums ever, with 3rd Planet being the catchiest and best song. I recommend it for anyone who needs an album to cheer themseleves up after a long day.

This is an amazing alblum with a wide array of beautiful music creativity. However, I belevie truly and fully that "Gravity Rides Everything" is the best song in the history of music. No Argument.
