I love FUN. and this is the best band i have actually known all the songs to and in each album including Aim and Ignite. Also Just Give Me a Reason P!NK ft. Nate Ruess. I believe FUN. is very talented and has soooooo many beautiful songs that are written buy the band themselves! Right now I am in love with the song 'The Gambler' from Aim and Ignite! So I definitely recommend this album and if you like it or better, love it you should try Aim and Ignite.

Nate doesn't need autotune. They didn't need all of the production. But they also didn't need half of the instruments and tracks on Aim and Ignite and Dog Problems and Interventions and Lullabies (the last two just The Format albums, but still), and that's why they were so great. Because Some Nights is a deviation doesn't mean it's bad - it's great. Dog Problems was more pop than Interventions, Aim and Ignite was more pop than Dog Problems and Some Nights was more pop than Aim and Ignite. The only problem is if the next album is even more pop - the same amount is fine but too much is, well, too much. Anyway, the album is perfect.

Every single on this album is beyond amazing. Nate's voice is seriously the best thing ever. If you get a chance see them in concert. The album doesn't even compare to the real deal :) LOVE FUN.!

I bought the vinyl on this album and liked it and I didn't know it came with a cd also that part I liked about it. Overall it's a good album.

Sounds good and I understand that fun. Is still trying to get an idea of what they are playing but PLEASE don't let them go in the direction of lots of songs only about girls. I have had enough of it. It's all you hear these days. Aim and ignite did so in the right way, but this album kind of went in the "Help me I need you don't leave me" direction. Just don't try to fit into mainstream ideas such as making songs like this. More songs like "barlights" less like "it gets better." If anyone in fun. Ever reads this, please try to make your own music, what you like, not what sells. You've been doing a great job so far, but you might be heading down that slope soon. I know i'm not one to talk because I don't know what kind of music you like to write, but aim and ignite seemed less mainstream. Plus everybody knows who you are now, so another album like aim and ignite should sell which I may have understated the value of as it is what keeps you employed. Keep up the good work and don't get too mainstream.

i think that FUN writes about more than the regular love songs that we hear on the radio. Nathan has a great voice and i think their songs are really easy to relate to

Be Calm is one of my favorites from this album along with The Gambler. Be Calm helped me go through the stress I've had. The lyrics to all of the songs and the feeling is just amazing. This is the original Fun. They will always be an amazing band and have amazing songs.

I bought the album knowing some songs from the radio. What else is in the album is truly amazing. I love almost every song on it. Great buy.

I feel like aim and ignite was a much better album. I'm not a big fan of mainstream. But, in a way, they are playing the game right. Put out some hits, get everyone's attention, then once you've gotten on the map, do what you really wanna do. I'm just waiting for the third album to judge them as a band.

Pretty much the most frustrating, irritating, and persistently overplayed album in the history of the human race. If the CIA is looking for an album to play on loop as a means of torturing prisoner, than this is certainly their best option.

I love these songs!!

I think the people saying it's bad because it's different from the first are absurd. From the first song to the last the album has that party, alternative, and just cool feel to it, which I think was the aim. The technical work is a bit heavy, but I think that kind of adds to the overall feel of the album. Overall, five stars.

I was pretty okay with this album. It still sounds like Fun., no matter what the internet says. Not as good as Aim and Ignite, but I still like most of the songs. But I noticed that a lot of the songs auto-tuned Nate's voice! He has such a great range and we all know from "Be Calm" that he has emotion for days. It was one of my favorite things. And despite the emotion was fairly low, I still have no major qualms with this album. But I know you can be better, Fun.

The song Carry On is my favorite song. A close second is Some Nights. Both songs are magnificent. I also feel that the album is to auto tuned for my taste.

The two albums are very different but i think they are both great in their own ways. The important thing is that Fun. still makes great songs! I highly recommend this album, every song on it great! (except for It Gets Better)

There are some good songs in here but I really miss the tunes from Aim n Ignite. I felt like there was too much autotune. What really caught my attention in the previous album was your voice and the simple tunes. But still a good album overall . Just gotta listen to it a little more. Trying to appreciate your work!

The first time I heard fun I was amaised when I heard them so I told my grandma and she took me to a concert I had so much fun

The 1st album "Aim and Ignite" was great. The second album was terrific. The songs have a good beat with good lyrics. I would agree that it does have a little too much auto-tune, but I really do think this album is great so I give it four stars.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!! This album is one of fun's greatest masterpieces. This album is amazing!

I found a lot of songs from this album really annoying. The thing I liked most about their first album was the great harmony and originality that the band presented. That just doesn't show through here. I'm really glad that this band is getting recognized but I wish their first album got more attention. This is a perfect example of how the music industry is flawed. The producers are only interested in making money and only produce what they know will sell. This pushes bands to avoid taking risks with their music. The lead singer, Nate Ruess, was hesitant in joining a major label but did and there second album came out mediocre. Just listen to "It Gets better" or "One Foot" Its essentially just repeated beat over and over and I find it just plain annoying. Where is the fun? Again I like this band and the artists are talented but please, PLEASE step up your game. Everyone look up their first album "Aim and Ignite" close your eyes and listen to the great harmony on songs like "Barlights" or "All The Pretty Girls" I guarantee it will put a smile on your face.

So fun. Is an interesting bad they use auto tune and Nate Hayes has an interesting voice it's a good voice. So you know I had mixed expectations of the album. So how did the songs play out. Some nights is a great song it's catchy and it's one of the ear worm songs. So is we are young although I'm still a little sketchy of that hugely popular song. And carry on is a great uplifting song. So I has negative expectations of one foot, It gets better, all alone, stars. How did those do. By the way the intro was outstanding. So it gets better Its full of auto tune and that did bother me just a little I know it was trying to be special and out of the world. But I don't feel the auto tune. If u watched the vmas you saw Kanye west sing blood on leaves there's just too much auto tune. Same basic principle with one foot but on one foot I do like the trumpets in the back. And even though stars has auto tune I really like the lyrics and I think fun did a good job with that one. And finally we have a song that's not auto tune ish out of town. A great song wher Hayes shows his real voice

Of course it's not gonna be the same as aim and ignite. I loved that album, but lets be honest. It's lame if a group keeps making the same sounding music album after album. This is a unique sound with amazing lyrics that tell a story. The auto tune that you all are hating is explained by Nate in an interview. The auto tune that sounds messy and awful is supposed to represent how a relation ship is. Scratchy, messy, painful... Fun. is a unique band and they're fantastic.

Best use of auto-tune since it was invented. Out on the town is my all-time favorite song

This is the best album I have ever bought!!!!I love all the songs on the album because they're not cliche, they're so different from the popular music of 2012! I can't get over Nate Ruess's voice...it is so cool to listen to! As for the rest of the band...amazing! Some Nights is the BEST SONG I'VE EVER HEARD so please download it (and make it #1 in North America), and consider purchasing the album. You won't regret it. It may take some time to get used to some of the songs, but when you do you will cry they're so good. Some nights I always win... K.

What a fantastic album! Love the original sound of the band and the lyrics are perfection.

I heard the song Some Nights, fell in love, and then jumped the gun a bit and bought the whole album based on the samples I heard in the first few tracks (and the cheap album price). I ended up finding much of the album to be a bit of a let-down. Perhaps it's because the album starts off so good. I love the "Some Nights (intro)". Very creative, very dynamic. A great hint at the creativity on this album. Then the fantastic song "Some Nights", which is what turned me on to the album. "We Are Young" is quite good, somewhat obviously as it's another single. "Carry On" follows, and is equally as fantastic as Some Nights in my opinion. Really loved it. Then we get to "It Gets Better" and ironically, that's where things get much worse. We start to hear the very electronic, quirky, over-autotuned side of the band. I'm all for creativity but I find a few elements of their sound here a little grating. Many of those elements continue throughout the next set of songs and I just couldn't get back into the album after that. So I'd definitely recommend tracks 2 through 4. Good stuff. I'll have to give the rest of the album another try again sometime, but personally I found it just didn't appeal to me after a few listens.

Best album ever! Seriously it's just so new and fresh I've never heard anything like this the band has done such a great job! I also suggest listening to there debut album aim&ignite it's just as good as some nights maybe even better.

I love this style of music. It has an old school feel to it. If you came here to buy "Some Nights" or "We are Young" you seriously need to check out their other album. I am a huge fan of the oldies. This just warms my heart that there are good bands out there still making great music! The lyrics to most of their songs are just beautiful! Don't just listen to the beat please take the time to appreciate the words behind it all.

I knew for I fact I loved We Are Young before I bought the album, but I had not heard any of their others songs fully. So I just bought it based on the good reviews and its popularity, and I have to say overall I am satisfied. Carry On, Some Nights, and All Alright, are also really good along with We Are Young. I'd have to say it all grows on you over time though, and I think it's a good album. If you're unsure about buying it, I'd say go for it; at least some of the songs will please.

The only reason they called this music alternative is because there isn't any other genre of music that can compare. It's new and Fun. Breathtaking.

Unbelievable album! I was skeptical of every song at first, wondering if I was going to like them individually. After a few listens, they are all really good, and super catchy. Some Nights is my personal favourite, and I honestly think it tops my 'All Time Favourite Songs' list. Stars was the only song I had an issue with. I know a lot of people don't like the auto-tune, but I typically enjoy it in their songs. The personal problem I had was the direction it was taken way too soon. The first verse is absolutely INCREDIBLE. It devastates me that it was taken into basically an entirely different song. The song is still good, but it had the potential to be the best song on the album. Overall, I was very, very impressed (and surprised) with 'Some Nights' as a whole. I'm not a huge 'music person', but Fun. has really got me hooked on their songs! The mix of old fashioned rock, incredibly intelligent lyrics, and modern day catchy beats make this album a must buy!

I'm a new fan of this band, I loved "We Are Young" after hearing it on the radio, and then searched them on iTunes. For me, the album was definitely worth the buy. As a lot of others did, I noticed autotune in some areas. In "Some Nights Intro" it was well used, but apart from that, I think the album may have been better without it. Apart from that, the album was absolutely amazing, specifically the lyrics and the meaning to a lot of the songs. Restores my faith in today's music.

SOME NIGHTS I STAY UP CASHING IN MY BAD LUCK.

Just purchased the album. I heard about this band on NPR first listen program and fell in love with all 3 songs that the band played live at the NPR studio (carry on, we are young and all alright). I was eager to listen to the album version of we are young and was a bit disappointed. I preferred the NPR version - it was more intimate (less background noise) and the singer's voice really shone through. He's got an incredible voice why mask it?!?!

It's clear that these guys have a lot of talent, so why wreck the intimate and more organic sound with auto-tune? And please, please, stop singing about your parents. They're mentioned in almost every song...

Ever since I heard carry on I fell in love with them, checked out their other songs and absolutely loved them.

At first, I downloaded a few songs at a time, enjoying Some Nights and Why Am I The One but then I found myself facing the choice where it was just cheaper to buy the entire album - decision well made! Out on the Town and Carry On are two of my favourite songs and they prove great listens! I recommend buying the album and then pushing repeat.

Love this album. Before seeing them in Toronto, I started to listen to their 1st album and love that one too.

I heard Some Nights on the radio and I really loved it so I bought it on iTunes. Unfortunately, there's a very clear F bomb in the song. I wish they would have specified that on iTunes like they do with some albums and come out with a bleeped out version. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude. I just can't listen to this song around my children so it can't be in my usual playlist. Otherwise, I love their music!

Sounds just like queen but worse, the singer is similar to Freddie mercury but he uses too much autotune, but it's a pretty good album
