I've like Blues for a while now, but haven't found any modern artists releasing any Blues really worth listening to. However, I clicked on iTunes Blues section expecting to find some mediocre sounds and then I found this guy! I'm honestly surprised by how great this is! Gary your "Bright Lights EP" is the bomb. Every song is nice. Bright Lights is your signature song as well as anyone else who wants to make it big in the big city. Im really digging this sound. Because of you their will be many people crossing over and listening to Blues. Your starting a revelution that will stretch peoples musical comfort zone. Keep on being true to yourselve. I think a lot of people are just going to this song becasue its been pushed by the record labels. Screw 'em Listen to "When my Train Pulls in!" its much more removed from the regular blues schtick. But Garty does give me hope in the blues again.

I heard this hypnotic record "Things Are Changin'" on a Delta flight from Vegas to Atlanta...and we were "shazamming" the speakers praying that this artist would come up, it didn't, but the voice ID'd the song at the end. Lucky Us! I'm excited to see what this artist has in store...refresing!

I was flipping through the tv channels and stopped on Palladia. The Music video for Bright Lights was on and the song had instantly gathered the attention of my ears. Looked Gary Clark Jr up on ITunes and found this gem. If these tracks are just some of what we can expect on his first major album then I cannot wait!! Shame I just missed his tour here a few months back. Keep it up!!

Never thought I'd first hear one of my fave new artists while watching college football on ESPN, but just the snippet I heard of "Bright Lights" before a commercial (and the wisdom of ESPN to tell who it was & feature them on their music web page) sold me. Gives me something to do while waiting for David Ryan Harris to finish his new album. Bring it, Gary, bring it!

I found this album when I was browsing through the "albums under $8" section. I listened to the previews of the tracks, and purchased it immediately. "Things Are Changin'" is an amazing song - beautiful guitar work. I loved this album, and I am looking forward to whatever's next. Bottom line is: buy this album! It's well worth it.

Whats all this nonsense about Gary Clark Jr., sounding like the Black Keys? Obviously these people have never heard the blues in their life. This guy is straight up blues rock and while four songs is a small sample, if he keeps this up we could be looking at the next SRV. Austin certainly knows how to breed blues guitarists and they have produced yet another truly gifted player. Keep it up Gary and don't be insulted by all this Black Keys garbage.
