Sounds like a Darius Rucker solo country crap album with hoodie as the backing band! Disappointed!!!

Found this on vinyl at half price book’s for a super low price & bought it, never having heard a single song, because I was excited they had a newer album. To my delight, this album was beyond any expectations I had for it, absolutely amazing! Every single song is great & I have listened to it multiple times, just don’t get tired of it. Great job guys, this one is a winner!

For those saying this is a Darius solo album with the Blowfish as his backup band, haven’t listened to a Darius solo record. Not even close. This is vintage Hootie with an updated sound! Hold On could have been on Cracked Rear View and they have been playing Rollin in concert for years. I love the cover of REM too. Darius’ new sound is in country and I hope he goes back to it because Hootie’s days are the 90’s but I also hope they revisit the band every 5 years or so.

This is a pop-country record. The lyrics are pedestrian at best. This is just an opportunity for the other three to capitalize on Rucker’s suckcess.

I agree with many that this seems much like a Darius Rucker album with the old band backing him...and that’s just fine by me! Part of the reason it seems this way is that Darius used to sing with a mouthful of gravel...and sings his solo stuff so much more clearly. Here, we have enunciating Darius - I can understand every word...so that just makes it unHootieish, I guess...in a good way! Keep it up, guys!!!

Always been a Hootie and Blowfish fan since day one was lucky enough to see them in 96 or 97 in outdoor concert venue in south Austin was truly amazing glad they making new music with great meaning this country needs to hold on to each other!!!!

Okay, it’s got a bit of a country flavor to it but I love all GREAT music, soul, jazz, rock, country, etc. I’m not worried about where this fits, just that it’s great. Great songs, band is tight and best of all Darius Rucker’s voice is the best!

- Wow! A trip back to the 90’s!!

Growing up in the 90’s I got spoiled by being part of the greatest decade of music since the 60’s. The sound of a generation filled with anger, hope, and joy like no other time. So many amazing, unique bands and genres, it was hard to even say which I liked most! BUT thrown into the mix were bands that played some of the best good old fashion Americana Folk Rock. Bands like Sister Hazel, the Wallflowers, Counting Crows, and Hootie & The Blowfish. At a time in my life (I ‘m now 42) where so much has changed and time is speeding up like it has never before, we all need to take some time to slow down and enjoy what we have and how we got here. This album did this for me. It took me back to that simpler time, think about all those incredible times and MUSIC, but best of all it reminded me of what came after and what I have today! It’s a truly incredible album that will lift the spirit, inspire, and most importantly MAKE YOU WANNA DANCE!!

I love Hootie and I love Darius solo stuff. This is not a Hootie LP...this is a Darius LP performed by Hootie and the Blowfish!! There is nothing wrong with it but dont expect real Hootie. Only one good song"Why" that sounds like the band. I was hoping for better. We will always have Paris...I mean Cracked Rear View.

It just ain't the same. The album doesnt work for me. Sounds like a very average country western album. Imperfect Circle about sums it up for me.
