Finally a Bond soundtrack with Bond music in it. A great throwback to a bygone era, Hans always delivers.

All style .. no substance. Exactly the kind of generic epic crap I’ve come to expect of Hans (cheque please) Zimmer. It’s all over compressed synthy bass rumbles .. and finally when the melody does kick in it’s a watered down version of something that John Barry perfected years ago. I get the feeling Hans *wrote* this by placing his cat on his keyboard and sampled the outcome. All the small amount of pieces in this that I did like are references to ‘On her majesty’s secret service’. Basically we’re it not for John Barry this score would have nothing in it at all. It’s all just so empty of anything original .. from Hans I mean. When Thomas Newman, David Arnold, or Michael Kamen, George Harrison, Bill Conti and Marvin Hamlisch took a spell at the ‘Bond score’ wheel they gave it there own indelible mark .. you can tell the relished the honour of writing for this franchise. Here the music is bored, like Hans just went through his sound banks for stuff that Lorne Balfe set up for ‘Mission Impodsible VI’ and just hammered the keyboard until the scene was done. Where’s the last mission impossible score was excellent .. containing the BIG EPIC sounds I usually despise but in that case we’re really good because the melodies and musical structure was pleasing … here .. it’s just uninspired. I’d say I’m disappointed but really this score is everything I thought it would be. The bits I like are not Hans’ and the other 96% of the score is screechy violins, over compressed bass noises and techno action beats that make you think “Hans … buddy … just learn a new riff already”. David Arnold did it better .. but nobody does it better than John Barry. Sorry Mr. Zimmer … I’d say ‘nice fry’ but this all sounded like you’re just collecting your next million dollar paycheque .. and I’m not impressed. Boring, tired, uninspired … Not even a good action piece to workout to?!? But since everyone else is always happy to fellate Hans’ work I’ll let them add all the 5 star reviews. Meanwhile I will wince at the lack of taste you all display. Wanna listen to a GOOD Bond score? .. choose literally any of the John Barry scores. Also a highlight is ‘Tomorrow never dies’ .. at least David Arnold gives you some exiting action to get your blood pumping.

I get why the film needs pushing back but the album being pushed back is ridiculous

Zimmer is no Newman. The subject matter is arguably beyond his depth. Two memorable pieces - Matera and Home - but otherwise unoriginal.

Just seen the film after listening to the soundtrack. Not bad. Definitely missing music from the album annoying as I suppose they will be an extended version. Some recycling of Sherlock game of shadows music and dark knight. But overall like the inclusion of OHMSS themes and some really moving and dark pieces.

This is what a Bond soundtrack should sound like! Very good because I read about the short notice after changing composers like they did with the director. (Think I know what the creative difference was now! and he had a point, the film is very, very good though) Yes some borrowed and similar sounds from John Barry/Louis Armstrong and from Zimmers previous works. Blending the JB theme and the movies songs is what Barry did best, along with his excellent addition sounds and David Arnold also it did excellently with Tomorrow Never Dies. Hans Zimmer nailed it for me, I personally like all the tracks from the soundtrack. Excellent workings with title track. I have got all the Bond soundtracks and this is the best since 1987. Zimmer should have been composing these years ago and happy when he was announced. The missing tracks and tapes from the other Roger Moore films need to be found and sorted and released. Somebody has them!!! Henry Cavill for 007 IMO.

Best film and sound tracks by far since the last one. Best film i have ever seen. Really fantastic film overall. Really enjoyed it Can’t wait to see the next one in 2023 if it doesn’t come out in 2022. Must see this film

No time to die gives me like a cool feeling. Ik its cringe but the song just makes me feel something, i love it so much. Zimmer is excellent in all his work he does everything right i don’t know how he does it i don t know why people are judging him! You should listen to some of the stuff he has made man I’m awe struck he is so AMAZING i mean the people making the hate comments, could you do any better? Billie Eilish

Great sound track especially final Assent

The score is nothing more than a John Barry sound-a-like in places. Zimmer really has lost his creative edge as the only good parts are the themes composed for other films. The 'filler music' is just uneventful and soul-less which is a shame. The orchestration makes the film more Bond-like in places but he's no David Arnold or John Barry. A real shame as the only memoral parts are taken from OHMSS.
