- The legend

This album is a must have

- Iconic album

Where do I start? 19 tracks or pure hip hop gold that is far less mainstream than "life after death" besides "Juicy" and "Big Poppa". Just a good all around album

- Love both albums

Love BIG!!! Forever. I was only a year old when this album came out ... but I very much so enjoy it .

- C'mon iTunes

You Guys Didn't Feature The Original One More Chance, But On the Computer You Have It

- Overrated

Listen to all the songs that didn’t get radio play. Wack.

- Classic

Hip hop misses BIG

- This is that money right there

This song delivers after going gold it always hits the spot.

- THE BEST of ALL TIME!

Period

- trash

ye this is no good

- CRAZY DOPE

CLASSIC!

- Big can't loose however

What did they do with ready to die, it's awful. Aside from that it's big and his work spoke for itself. Notorious big. 1 of the best rappers of all time.

- Remaster not as good as original

Not the original. It seems they toned the bass down in this version, after slapping him for "sampling music" in a case that white artists frequently win (I'm white and I know this). When this "version" came out, he was already dead and, therefore, receiving zero revenue/profit from those "subversive samples." BS nonsense. But it's still Notorious, so it's a classic. Having his album targetted and banned in the land of the free only gave him more credibility. If you hear this (especially the original), you'll know why BIG is called the GREATEST rapper of all time. Because he is.

- Greatest Album

One of the if not the greatest album ever recorded

- Hear this

I just purchase this because it was B.I.G Notorius 5 stars

- My favorite Rapper of all time!

R.I.P. Biggie, your music and soul will live forever!!!

- AMAZING BUY THIS

If you consider yourself a hip hop fan and haven't bought this album... Shame on you.

- His best album

Classic album, buy it without any hesitation

- Rip

The greatest rapper of all time

- Blue steel feel..!

Classic. One of the greatest albums of all time.

- 🔥

If only he wouldn't of passed away on us, half of the rappers now wouldn't even exist, he's still the king of all mc's haha

- Get The non remaster sounds better

I have to give it three stars because it is a great album. It lost lots of the sound that made it fun when they remastered it.

- Biggie is the best

Truly the best rapper I have ever heard.

- He was something else

Biggie was rare and raw. Best rapper of all time 🙌🏻

- Overrated

Sorry to say it, but its the truth. People will probably be mad and offended but that's only because the truth is what hurts the most. This album was mainly carried by it's production and hits, rather than Biggie's rapping talent itself (unlike Capital Punishment by Big Pun which also had good production and some hits but was actually good for the rapping from Big Pun himself.) Biggie doesn't have the best flow either, Big Pun's flow was a lot better and even Big L's at times. Biggie wasn't even the best rapper of his time, Nas, Black Thought, Kool G Rap, Big L and Big Pun all rap circles around him and make him look basic in comparrison.

- Greatest Album Of All Time

From Start To Finish It’s A Movie

- CENSORED version of album

All of the bad words are censored so it’s awkward to listen to. Waste of money. Find a different version of this album.

- REAL HIP HOP

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

- Classic Hip Hop At It’s Finest

🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤

- "The Remaster" is code for "Censored after Lawsuit"

Ready to Die is a fantastic iconic hip-hop album, and what you see here is not that album. Because Bad Boy Records and P. Diddy didn't seek permission from the artists they sampled back in 1994 they were sued in 2006 and ordered to remove certain samples from the record. Thus giving us this "remaster". So if you're wanting to hear the original mix of the album that made it so legendary, look for a CD copy manufactured before the 2006 lawsuit.

- DJ ROMO

Best album ever remastered !!!

- radio edits!

This record cover says “explicit” and so do the tracks, but I can’t even listen to songs like “Gimme The Loot” because of all the blank spots in the sound. Where are the explicit lyrics? Seriously this is a horrible listening experience. i want a refund!

- “Till this day!”

Rest in power Notorious!🐐

- Miss you Big

Best Rapper ever

- Why? Give us the original!

This version is not good I miss the regular version.

- Thieves with Stingy Pockets

So, let me get this straight. Puff Daddy will steal a sample, make a fortune from this practice, release an album, then when people want paid, he just removes the sample to save a buck. Why is this not a surprise? This is NOT the Ready to Die album. It’s some cheap release made from dishonesty and thievery.

- Respect.

respect big

- Cheap Bad Boy

Apparently Bad Boy didn’t care about the fans or the legacy of this fantastic album. They could have paid the royalties but instead they offer this neutered version with missing samples. I’m glad I still have my original CD and the CD remaster that was released in 2004 with the samples intact.

- How Could You Not Like?😩

This is unquestionably the best album ever😭 100 stars 💯

- Best Ever

Timeless 😭

- ❤️

❤️

- Who Shot Ya?

Who Shot Ya? Might of been released in Ready To Die - The Remastered, but it wasn't released in Ready To Die (original). ITunes should have that version instead of this one. Besides, if someone wants to buy Who Shot Ya?, well then they should just buy it from Greatest Hits where it was actually released in a album. Who Shot Ya? Was first released as a single in 1995.

- He is ready to die as a legend

This is an amazing album of biggie tho it is crazy

- Awesome!!

It's one of those records where I like every track, and I like getting good value for my money. It's a necessity for the typical hip-hop/rap fan. Really does live past expectations! Buy it!!!

- AWESOME

Biggie is the best to happen to east coast

- jw??

whats with number 8???

- MUST HAVE

One of thee greatest rapper's ever. R.I.P. Everyone needs to watch Bigger than life, an excellent documentary on biggie.

- Best Hip-Hop Album

In this album Biggie told his life story from birth to thoughts of suicide with the illest beats and best vocals hip-hop has ever heard. His unique style and lyrical ability make him the best hip-hop artist of all time.

- Amazing -Greatest Album of all time

Probably the greatest album of all time.... I don't know what the difference is between the original versisons of the altered songs but they're still good. I guess you should buy the original album if you really want the full experience but I didn't find anything different except that the original version is longer. Other than that, they're the same to me. If someone found the differences, please post them.

- WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO MACHINE GUN FUNK AND READY TO DIE?!?!

WHY HAVE THEY BUTCHERED BIGGIES AMAZING RAPS? This RUINED the album for me. without a doubt biggies best album made while he was alive, but if i find the original album , I would pay DOUBLE the price for the original songs. WITHOUT THE SAMPLES TAKEN OUT!!!!

- original tracks

i still havent bought this album cause of the parts takin out of 4 and 6, has anyone found the original tracks for these songs????

- Bad edition of this album

This is a classic, no doubt. Unfortunately "Machine Gun Funk" and "Ready to Die" are missing *crucial* samples in their choruses which alter the sound of those tracks. I have no idea why this is - I'll look it up shortly - but regardless do not buy this version of the album.

- Big respect for the East.

Big poppa, Juicy, Me & my B*itch, One more chance, respect, eho shot ya qui ne sont qu'un appercu du géni de Mr.B.I.G. à l'époque de la guerre east Coast/West Coast c'était lui le vrai représentant. Y'a rien à dire c,est tout simplement un véritable classic et des albums comme ca, il ne s'en fait plus. R.I. Notorious B.I.G.

- Classic album

Brilliant album, get the original version though, 4 and 6 really hurt without those samples.

- Straight up Classic

This album is a must have...but find the original, with the samples removed from tracks 4 & 6 it just isn't the same

- Gangstarapforever

this is real hip hop and only biggie does it how he does this is the perfect mix of gangsta songs party songs and funky chill songs R.I.P Big

- East coast reprazent

RIP - a true genius whose life was cut way too short.

- BIG

4 sho BIG was da man and da movie was off da hook

- B.I.G

A great album from one of the greatest rappers of all time, every song is great, u will love this if u r a rap fan if u don't like biggie smalls then u must be a miley cyrus fan, cuz only people with a good taste in music listen to B.I.G this is a MUST buy album

- why?

i agree why did biggie have to die anyway he didn't set up 2pac they were best friends until 2pac got shot in biggie & Diddy's studio i reckon it's all bul that biggie put a 1 mil contract on 2pac Biggie was the greatest rapper of all time he should definently be alive today. by the way how they rellease like 4 albums after he died he recorded 2 then he got shot

- Sick beats!

Biggie is, was and always will be a HUGE Hip Hop icon. And this album shows why. Its very old school and always takes me back. Juicy has gotta be my fave song from biggie. Such a powerful song and great to cruise to. R.I.P Biggie.

- What a quality album

This is one of his best albums, smooth clean beats. A++++++

- King of new york

one of the best CDs ever to hit the charts R.I.P also on another note when will itunes bring out all of the tupac recoreds i have all of them but other people in this country should have the privliage to listen to them. they should be listening to the real side of rap instead of 50 cent and these no tallented people

- the best

One of the best albums of all time, this guy should still be alive if it weren't for that f**khead that shot him. R.I.P. Biggie, you'll always be in everyone's hearts forever.

- Fantastic

I finally got around to getting this and I'm only onto 'One More Chance' at the moment, but Biggie is stupidly good, he's so technically gifted on the mic, he's got such a good flow, so easy on the ears, where as most of todays rappers voices feel like a relentless pounding on your ears, Biggie's flow is silky smooth and just caresses your ears. RIP BIG, you are sorely missed, your death left an unfillable void in hip hop.

- Real hip hop

Blessed the dead and there soul and spirit will live on you might of been ready thanks for da memories deep x

- Review

One of the best, by the best.

- Whooop

My life is played out like the jerhi kurl I'm ready to die!!!!! Can't touch biggie

- Amazing

This album will always be at hand !! It's the best hip hop album EVER no one else comes close R.I.P biggy u changed the world of hip hop !

- Awful

Every song sounds the same just idiotic. He sounds constipated

- This is genius

Amazing

- Classic

I would normally write a massive essay on how fantastic this album is, but I'm just going to say that it's a must have, would be a good Christmas present (if you bought the actual CD) and it is classic. R.I.P Biggie.

- Ready to die

if you love quality hip hop then buy this album it's sick! Biggie is on his best form with great funk sampling and the flow you expect from the best mc who ever lived in my opinion sounds great on iPod,iPad etc a must have for any hip hop fan!

- the best die young

one of my favourite albums of the 90s and damn near perfect with its raw beats and the powerful biggie flow. suicidal thoughts is the standout track for me.

- Wicked

Hip hop at it's best if you love your hip hop check out gangstarr that's off the chain too

- Good Music

Real good Album still holds to date.

- No One Has Beaten this Guys Flow

This is the number 1 Rap Album of All Time .... You cant beat Biggie ... No idea what makes his flow feel so good to listen to its unexplainable ... Flow from the gods ...

- Brilliant

- Classic

Ok 1st off this album is a classic, no doubt. However it is not the best hip hop album ever. Top 10 maybe but doesn't top illmatic, liquid swords or 36 chambers IMO

- Sends Shivers down my Spine

Just got it. It's amazing every song is a classic. an inspraton to everyone with a bit of musical sense. and for £4.99 you will feel like you ripped itunes off.

- BUY THE ALBUM

Amazing. Get it....NOW!!!!

- perfection

Best debut album by a hip-hop artist ever

- Biggie = Legend x A Million

One of (if not) the best to grace hip-hop, a thoroughly good album - best songs are Juicy, Big Poppa, Who Shot Ya and Suicidal Thoughts. R.I.P. Biggie Smalls, lyrical miracle

- Good, but not the greatest.

I know Biggie put Brooklyn on the map and paved the way other rappers, and I have a lot of respect for the influence he had on the game. However, all of you saying it's the best album ever, smh, this has nothing on illmatic. The lyrics are whitty yet not as elaborate as you'd Imagine. His flows got nothing on Nas. I'd rather listen to It Was Written tbh. But hey, no disrespect to Biggie, it's still a 5 star album, just not what it's being made out to be. And under "Listeners Also Bought - T.I". Shows how y'all are getting it twisted. T.I is garbage and shouldn't be mentioned next to a legend like Biggie, you should be ashamed.

- Legend

Albums like this can only be made by legends classic

- Biggie

Best Album ever , till I die I will always have this album in my possession , true grown up

- The best hip hop album of all time

Buy it

- Greatest ever!

He was only rapping for about 3 or 4 years but he is the greatest rapper of all time and this is probably the best rap album of all time, 2nd is life after death. What. A. Legend!

- THE BEST

this album is as good as rap can get, Biggie Smalls is my favourite rapper along with 2Pac, Big Pun and Big L. Ready to Die&All Eyes on Me greatest rap records ever to be produced period.

- Ready to Die

Best hip hop/ rap album of all time

- Hip Hop Classic

This album changed Hip Hop Forever!!! Every album after copied this formula!!! Some hard tunes, then R&B/Hip Hop single with i well know vocalist in (One More Chance) Biggie case several R&B vocalists Mary J, Faith, Aaliyah, Total, and more!!! Biggie Smalls or Notorious B.I.G. watever you like to call him is the greatest rapper of all time period!!!! R.I.P. BIG

- The rap god

Had this album from the day it was released and have bought it 4 times since I overlisten to him. If you like oldschool hip hop (real hip hop) this album is the one Gs

- best album ever

Nowadays you have rappers like lil wayne claiming they are the best, lil wayne is good, but biggie is the best. the minute you hear is first song is the minute you will go on the web and buy every other item of biggie you can find. 5/5

- Always love Big Poppa

This is best album ever made by the best hip hop rapper in the world there is no one better than the NOTORIOUS B.I.G.

- amazing

Absolutely old school amazing album, it's one of the best from a golden era of hip hop, if you haven't heard this then there is something wrong with you, get it immediately

- Biggie the Legend

I adore the skills, the rhyming slangs and the energy put into it.Undoubtedly,it's uncomparable,it's the best album ever made.R.I.P. BIG.

- R.I.P Biggie

AMAZIN

- The Legend That is Biggie Smalls

Let me start by telling you that this is the best hip hop album to ever be released by the best hip hop artist to ever live! I have listened to this album many many times and it is just as good as the first time i listened to it. Fortuantly i didnt hear this album till around 2001/2002, i say fortuantly cause if i'd hurd it in 1996 nothing else would have come close. This album will blow you away, his story telling is amazing and every song is simply amazing. There is a down side though, cause once you hear this album it will leave you wanting more which you can get from Life After Death which is a great album but even then you will feel robbed of the legend that is Christopher Wallace, Gangsta rap at its best. Buy it now!!! R.I.P BIGGIE SMALLS

- itunes?

This album shouldn't be brought on itunes, just isn't right. CD for me !

- Ready To Die

Coined as the greatest rapper of all time, its easy to try and pick holes with such artists' music however, Ready To Die is the most complete and accomplished album Ive heard from a hip-hop artist. He delivers on every level, his thriving and dynamic flow, rides every song bouncing inbetween bars. Whilst with most artists it is easy to become lost within their flow, Biggie's story telling is as liberating as it is enjoyable; an example of this is shown in the album title 'Ready To Die' an easy interpretation of this would be he is suffering and has given up hope, however the particular vibe of this album translates a fearless and unfazed rapper in his prime of his career. P.s - Nas said this album is what he was tryna do on illmatic on steroids

- LEGENDARY

LEGENDARY

- the g.o.a.t

the greatest album of all time by the greatest rapper of all time

- CRAZY:D

the best album i have ever brought (just playing best track)

- Amazing Album

This is one of the best HIP/HOP album released, and by hiphip i mean true hip and not the cheesey radio friendly rap album. A must for all true hip hoppers out there.

- if you like real hip hop BUY THIS ALBUM !!!

this is without a doubt the best hip hop album of all time. biggies flow ,his lyrics, and the awsome beats and production make this a must have album!! . . easy mo bee...dj premier..what more could you want? sweet asa nut...

- The best

Best hip hop album of all time!!!

- Best hip hop Album ever!!

Flows slow yet so remarkable

- Legendary

This album changed the face of hip hop. Along with other east coast artists including Nas, Wu Tang, Rakim, public enemy, Jay Z, Big L and a tribe called quest, Biggie was part of the music changing, exception hip hop era. Today's music is all crap rather that rap and hip pop rather than hip hop. But that doesn't matter to me because i still got all my old school albums to live on!

- no way!!!!

this is rubish stuff
