Love Goes is the third studio album by English singer Sam Smith. It was released on 30 October 2020 through Capitol Records. The album was originally planned to be titled To Die For and was due for release in June 2020 but was delayed amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Smith also felt it was insensitive to use the word "die" due to what many people were going through.

Other than the previously released songs that are pleasant, the rest is difficult to get through even once. There wasn’t a song that I wanted to hear again. A few problems include, no time between songs so they run into each other. It’s not an interesting new technique but its rather silly. That should have be rethought. There are no soaring ballads or showcases of his amazing voice in any song. None of it feels like anything new or catchy. It’s simply not the Sam I grew to love with each previous album. To me, it spends all of it’s time trying to be the coolest new trend in sound and the result is flat.

Do not be fooled by the one star reviews, Sam Smith is back on form and excels in Love Goes. My personal favourites are ‘Diamonds’, ‘Another One’ and the beautiful ‘Fire on Fire’, which made me cry while listening it is that emotive. Each song could be released as a single because this album is so strong. Congrats Sam Smith, do not listen to the hate, we love you and your music!

Someone in their review says there are no real hits on this album! So far there have been SEVEN, with at least another three potential hits yet to be released. This album is a slow burner, you have to get past the first few tracks (which in themselves are decent by anyone’s standards) before this album gets going, from then on til the end it’s a masterpiece of pop and dance and soul. Ignore the negative reviews they seem more aimed at Sam than the music. If you liked the singles from the album it’s worth purchasing just for them. Not since Michael Jackson can an album have so many hit single on it. Keep up the great work Sam and ignore the nonsense that’s written about you as a person, you are an inspiration to so many. X

Well, I Instantly loved this album, Dance (till you love someone else) is My fave. Had it on repeat for weeks! I've really been enjoying this album since it was released! I much prefer it to Thrill of it all .... but I didn't mind that album too! I am a big fan of David Bowie and Madonna. Now not to compare Sam Smith to these artists at all, very few people come close, however not only is this a very good album, but I really appreciate the way that Sam has started to reinvent his sound. I loved the soft Soul of his first 2 records, however, this record reveals a recent dance & pop sound which works very well. The singles that have already been released are classic tunes and the rest of the new song s on the record round off the album perfectly. A Great listen!
